Sorry if this is a noob question; but can anyone point me to an official Paizo source for the point buy for character creation for this AP.

WIkidot is quoting 20pts; but I always thought it was 15 for all the APs but now I cant find anything from Paizo (as opposed to other people’s opinions) that states as such.

Boons - it's been said a few times but what makes a boon fun is that it makes a character different - a permanent fun boon is waaaay better than a mechanical benefit.

Even if there's little or no mechanical benefit I'd far rather have a flavor boon.

Also, spending boons for one off bonuses (no matter how powerful) would be pretty soul destroying (bye bye vanarra, dhampir, ganzi - hello minor benefit on rolls).

GM boons are a thank you for the time effort and often money that GMs have put into making conventions fun. Printing, buying maps, buying minis etc... quite often you'll look round a convention hall and see GMs have scratch-built 3D terrain or created unique minis for important foes... We do it to make the gaming experience as fabulous as possible for our players, GM boons have always been really important to me in feeling that Paizo values that effort and investment.
Hi :-)

But that wasn’t the question.

For me it’s about something that makes my character different; not more powerful. That’s why I like the race boons; you can make a unique(ish) character and the races aren’t way too powerful (ignoring Aasimar).

I like the idea of being granted access to unique Gods, but then I’d hope the whole player base would get access to a wider pantheon soon; the core 20 are too limiting.

My first post!

I was searching the forums to see if the was an answer to what level the ranger falcon companion is in the Falconer archetype.

You get the falcon at lvl 1 with 1/2 hit points - does it level with you using your ranger level rather than -3 like other rangers?

What about when you hit lvl 4 and get natures bond? Does it then take the -3 hit to effective level when it gets the hit points boost?

Cheers for any help!!
Hi all,
