"Of course, Isama - may I call you Isama? I'll have them sent directly to you at your guardpost." he salutes back "Good day."
Kristoph finishes his drink, stands, bows, and leaves. On the way out he flips the proprietor a gold piece.

"Constructs have their uses. We had ours bring out the bodies, then we had them wash each other off. A real person would have been wasted on that task."

Whoever did this knows a heckuva lot about how sewers work. Did the sewer workers notice anything odd? Are they the ones who found the bodies? Any evidence of any magic being used? Isama says turning possibilities over in her mind.

"Well. Most of the sewer workers in Warlock's Walk are constructs now. So no, they didn't 'notice' anything." he looks sideways at Ophelia. "An argument that will almost certainly be used by the workers to avoid replacement."

"The presence of central heating does complicate things, indeed. I am unfamiliar with such arrangements - I have little need - and did not realize that the bodies could be fitted there."

"Pardon - my assumption was that the necromancer had repaired the bodies. If they are in an unusable and unsuitable form, there will be no use for them."

Was thinking Restore Corpse instead of Speak With Dead :)

"If the stash found by West Wall is of identical character, and not just any rarely supervised public building, it might be something we will have to look into."

"The spells in question restored the flesh to the corpse, but the jawbone was missing." he shrugs "Someone could pay for a full resurrection or reincarnation, I suppose."

"I'd always assumed the street, given the tunnels in and out would be a tight fit for anyone but a halfling. On the other hands the bodies were dismembered enough that I suppose they could have been taken through that way..."

Kristoph looks hesitant for the first time "While we have sketches of all the bodies - obviously - the bodies themselves were simply going to rot. They were too damaged for anything but the most expensive of magics to gain any more useful information. Standard practice is to ask around for identification, wait a week, then pass them to our necromancer."

"Obviously we looked into things like that. There are a few places in Warlock's Walk that could have been used for the purpose. We've a number of high-profile citizens with homes whose central furnaces could do so. Far too many to simply barge in on the hope of finding clues. If that's the type of investigation you're planning, you can think again."

"Well. Looks like they were burned whilst still alive. There was no evidence of any fire where we found them, so we presume they were burned elsewhere and then moved. We paid a necromancer to reconstruct the bodies, and the faces didn't match anyone we had on our records."
expensive operation to hire a necromancer
"There was no evidence of brands or piercings that might indicate a religious reason."
"The location was one of those rooms attached to sewers - the ones where surges of water can be contained and bled off slowly... you know the ones. There was an access point for sewer workers to get in. We think they were just dropped in there."
"I made the decision to keep it quiet and leave an observer to catch the murderer if he tried again. A week later West Wall found a similar stash."

"Of course!" Kristoph is delighted as you are led to a quite nice private room and a waiter brings in a selection of coffees.
"Very civilised. What would you like to know, Guard Zenj?"

Ophelia:
He's obvious very happy to keep this all quiet. Probably doesn't want news of messy murders in his high class area panicking the upper class.

"Well. That's unusual. Still, I suppose it's acceptable. Donatello is a difficult man to deal with." He looked at the indicated establishment, and blinks "You know your ward best, of course. Still, this is a grisly crime. I can't imagine its going to go over too well with customers. If we are to speak, perhaps we should consider a different language or a quieter location?"

sense motive dc 20:
Also, he doesn't want witnesses

perception dc 35:
There's something invisible hanging around him - his hair just brushed against it when he turned his head.

"Thank you Junior Guard Zenj. Admirable consideration. I have an appointment for later in the day. Shall we proceed to the station so I can meet your sergeant?"

Gardener took 18, -2 for DR, 5 to nontlethal = 11, right?
Kristoph walks over to the Gearbound Gardener and pulls him upright.
"My garden! My automaton!"

"Just ensuring you are alright, my dear."
Kristoph readies to cast and use Ear Piercing scream if the Treant starts to move towards him.

Hurt? No... Couldn't hurt a child. Child... Selena!
Kristoph runs to R14

"Aagh! My landscaping!" Cries Kristoph as the tree behind him starts to pull itself out of the ground
"Gavin! Wait!" he calls as Gavin bolts into - not danger, certainly, but... he could be hurt by the gardeners, couldn't he. Sandru had a wicked ... Sandru?

"Indeed. Why don't we let the lads deal with it, Gavin."
Despite his protestations as to the perfect safety, Kristoph drags Gavin to the bench P6
Not sure if Gavin is fighting it. Given he's next, if he is he can shake Kristoph off and stay where he is(it isn't a grapple)

Kristoph turns to Gavin
"Come along and see how effective our quarantine team is! While this may look dangerous, I can assure you there is no risk at all!"

"Close enough"

Kristoph turns back to his companion

"It's a prototype. They'll get better."

"Gardeners! Gardeners!"

"Why don't you come see how well our greenhouse quarrantine measures are?"
Kristoph turns to the construct and speaks slowly "Go help the gardeners"

"Nonsense, Horace. Calm down."

Raising his voice
"Gardeners! To the Greenhouse!"

"Good lord man! What's wrong with you? Can't you see the big picture? Plants like these can improve life for everyone! End world hunger! Cure disease! That modified pumpkin that lures, traps and eats mice has the potential to stop the major agricultural pest in the world today! And you complain because he hasn't managed to stop it growing at three feet? Because it might get loose and might break free?"
