FullStarFullStarFullStarFullStarFullStar Sellswords of Punjar!

A pleasant surprise. Goodman have raised their game here. *Much* better artwork than the D20 "DC Classics" - particularly the pieces on pp 16 and 20.

It would have been good to see pictures of some of the antagonists - e.g. Mother Zeb'oltha, Witch-for-Hire, but the word-painting of the monsters more than makes up: e.g. "...the corpulent tiefling witch ... moves with a grace and speed that defies her thick rolls of devil-born flesh". Superb!

A compact and interesting map. Atmospheric area descriptions that ooze with crumbling urban decrepitude. Well-described, iconic enemies. Many traps: but they've been deployed with a light touch and feel 'right' for the gritty urban dungeon - no preposterous Maxi-Slorta nonsense here.

And loads of ideas: this little scenario is packed with intriguing little touches (for instance - the deft little pointers for what to do with parties who find themselves adrift on the dark, noisome river that flows unseen beneath Punjar)

At nine dollars for the PDF, it's a real bargain. This single product has changed the way I view Goodman games. I'm looking forward to the next one!
