Udoeak and Stellan find a comfortable spot on the ground to keep post. The land is rather open and the clear night time sky keeps it nicely illuminated. Still, vigilance is needed to make sure nothing occurs.

Stellan&Udoeak:
Udoeak keeps his eye fixed to the distance to make sure that nothing approaches unnoticed. Meanwhile, after cleaning up and making his camp, Stellan focus' his attention outward as well. After a little while, maybe 30 minutes or so, Udoeak you can see far off in the distance something approaching by foot. It appears to only be walking and in no rush.

You tap Stellan on the shoulder to point out in the direction to the creature approaching. It is greater than 700 yards out and doesn't seem to be increasing in pace.

With dinner complete the crew sets down for the night. The sun sets in the distance casting a peaceful glow across the land stretching shadows far until it finally disappears.

As night time comes, the clear sky gives way to a star-filled night. Gazing up at it, you can pick out the multitude of constellations and wonder if the gods are watching down tonight.

Bedrolls are undone and the first watch takes his post.

Who is up first. Anwel is last I can see

Anwel:
The wand comes to you right away. This is a wand of burning hands. The markings are something you recall from times past.

The ring however does not strike you magical. Peering closer you confirm your thoughts when you see some faded markings on the ring - "To my dearest ..." and then its illegible. It must have been a memento that belong to a woman of some importance.

Lastly, you look through the spellbook and while its almost completely destroyed by the weather, there are a few spells you can make out. You find identify, mage armor, reduce person, silent image, and unseen servant.

After some time, Anwel completes his examination.

@ Gorax - Its only about 12 miles away so it would only take half day at most

Andrei takes Gorax's shield and grabbing by two hands, starts digging into the ground. The ground is a rough mix so progress is slow but he sticks with it until Gorax comes over and tries to "show him how it's done."

The two of them continue on for about some time. Gorax slams the edge of his shield into the ground and flings out the dirt. Andrei moves away the freshly turned soil with his hands, piling up what he can.

Gorax&Andrei:
After a few minutes, the shield slams down with a soft "thud" in the ground. Hearing this change in tone tells you that it's time to stop digging and take look. You move in closer to the ground and find that a leather cloak has been buried here and it is wrapping up more items inside. You move away the dirt around this cache of items and free it from the dirt. Unwrapping the leather cloak you find: a silver ring, a magical wand, and a rather worn spell book. The spellbook looks to be completely soaked from spending many days here in the ground.

Stellan:
From examining the area, you are able to tell that this is not any sort of animal den. Could possibly be an animal grave although without any sort of markings in the immediate vicinity that is highly doubtful. It certainly is not hollow.

Andrei:
From the height you were at, and the closer examination you can tell that the ground here has been toyed with at some point. It is not any sort of marking that the weather could have made.

The party gathers around the tree to make camp. Fires are started, notes are scratched, maps drawn, and backpacks settled on the ground. The weather is peaceful enough, perfect for searching for some game.

Udoeak tries his luck with cooking recalling an old favorite recipe from times past. He thinks long to recall everything that it could require, all the while trying not to confuse this with his daily alchemical concoctions. With the fire started, he makes his way around the area, looking for something to eat.

Seeing him start to take off, Gorax takes off with him to assist in searching for something to eat.

Udoeak&Gorax:
Between the two of you, you find a couple creatures worthy of cooking. Small woodland things with enough meat on their bones for an appetizer. You were able to gather some plants however to make up with the short comings.

Meanwhile, Andrei takes the chance to make his way up the tree to see what things he might be able to find. It's a tall tree so it takes you a few minutes. He uses caution as he climbs, checking each branch before putting his weight on it.

Andrei:
You climb the tree, searching the whole time for anything that could be used to stash a message. You become frustrated when you find nothing. Surely there must be some use to this damn tree! As you near ready to climb back down, you notice on the north side that the ground does not quite look right. Where there should a simple slope, you can tell from this height that a section of the ground is sunken below the rest.

Anwel continues with his conversation with Gorax. The two playfully exchange their thoughts on "travel preparedness."

How long shall the group stay here? Overnight?

With their exchange with the group over, the dwarf and the human start their stalking towards the hill. They proceed with great care as to ensure that no villains or surprises await for them upon arrival. The dwarf takes the lead with the human trailing behind.

Meanwhile the rest of the party watches intently as the two tread on.

BIMBUR:
As you come closer to the tree you take note of the shape of it as it looks like an old oak tree. From some of the markings and deformities you can gather that it was most likely struck by lightning at some point. It sways gently in the passing breeze making no other moves other than what the wind tells it to.

Stellan:
You watch intently as the dwarf makes his way to the hill. His movements cautious and precise. He seems to make little issue with what he finds as he approaches. Now, as you come closer to this tree yourself you take note of the shape of it as it looks like an old oak tree. From some of the markings and deformities you can gather that is most likely struck by lightning at some point. It sways gently in the breeze.

What he ^^^ said.

Oleg is definityly on good terms with the group (saving his outpost showed a great gesture of good will on the party's behalf) and lending them horseback to roam the lands would not be a strech of his abilities.

I intended on providing horses (as per the adventure) but deviation from the storyline didn't pan out the way I wanted so we can just correct that.

I will address Andrei's question here ...

As for the horses, I am not opposed to them being there and they should probably be there, but I'll leave it to a group vote.

Oh yes! Definitely back in the AC and my this is just another reminder of what a wondrous invention.

I do want to mention though that this entire session is really challenging my writing skills and while I'm enjoying brushing up on my vocab / grammar, please understand if my descriptions suck. That being said, if they do just say and I'll be happy to go into further detail.

@ Andrei: If memory serves me right this night, I believe that all had horseback. And yes, Oleg did take the 1gp albeit begrudgingly. I apologize for not addressing that conversation.

@ Stellan: The weather is brisk to fair. The land is dry in the stretch that you are in currently

@ Anwel: The tree is within this hex, the one that was just revealed. Given the lay of the land, it is easy to see something like this at your current distance.

@ Bimbur: Looking back, my description was not as well as it should have been. The "tree" in question is quite out in the distance; maybe ~500 yards. We can forego the rolls unless you want to save those for later.

Editing this post while I still can ... I am WRONG about the horses. In fact I think we only had one that Jeremiah used to make sure we don't fall behind. Thanks Udoeak!

Many thanks to all for waiting patiently on my return. I would have moved the story along, but as it turned out, the relative's house we stayed at lost power so I was boiling hot and had no internet.

Oleg and Svetlana watch at the party departs from the outpost. They wave to them as they leave,"Be safe friends and may the wind always be at your back!" Svetlana sends the men off with a heart filled wish while Oleg joins in with his own comment,"And come back when you can. I'll be happy to take whatever you find off your hands!' Oleg does make sure to keep the warehouses filled.

The party, now reinvigorated with new friends to join in the quest, set forth to cover the Stolen lands. Oleg and Svetlana seem to be in safe hands for now so the concern of returning bandits should not bother you any more.

The day greets the travelers with fair weather, perfect for covering the open lands. Overhead, the clouds roll on by changing shapes all the while, and occupying any mind with thoughts of what they might be. To the west looms the Narlmarches, a forest that must be teeming with creatures unseen. Ahead of you and all the way around to the east are the open plains of the Stolen Lands. The tall dry stalks of grass crunch under your boots as you walk. You wonder when the last time rain fell on these parts... must not be anytime recently.

Gorax and Stellan keep their trained peeled on the lands yet to come. Every so often, they notice a stray creature roaming the lands or flying high in the sky but none have been found to be hostile.

As you march southward, covering familiar terrain, you notice that in the distance there is a small hill. This hill is not unlike any you have encountered before but what makes this particularly interesting is the single tree that sits atop it. Seeing as this is a break in the monotony of simple lands, you decide to make your way to it. Certainly it couldn't hurt to take rest here as it is the only form of shade for quite the distance.

New MAP for your viewing pleasure.

My sincerest apologies friends, but I'm out on vacation till Monday. I should be able to sneak in a post to move us along to the next section of the map in the next day.

Didn't want to fall silent here so I'm just dropping this note.

"The name is Happs. I used to be a man free in these land, doing what want, but that chapter in my life is over."

Before the man can continue, Oleg shouts over from where he was standing, "You are damn right and you will work here until I see fit to turn you over to the guards!"

Happs sighs at being reminded of his impending future. "Anyways, my story is not much of interest to you and these will be the last moments I get to enjoy the open wilds. Now if you'll excuse me, I have work to do."

Happs finishes his quick conversation with Andrei and then continues with his work.

...

The compliments come in from all over for the food. Svetlana makes sure to thank all those happy guests for their kind words, "It's just an old recipe my mother taught me. I hope you will tell your friends!"

...

"Southward should keep you busy. I've heard many tales of those parts; mostly men making claims of wild creatures. As for your requests, I shall be able to do that. It should take me a couple days to get my request in and materials back." Oleg nods his head to Anwel and excuses himself from the conversation. "Let me make note of that nwo before I forget to." He makes his way back to his house.

...

Logistics are not my friend. Therefore as long as take into account "getting food" from "somewhere" I will be good with that.

Svetland listens intently to the elf as he describes his recent travels ...

Quote:
He told us broadly where to look, but finding them will take time unless you happen to know where they are.

She starts to respond but is cutoff as the conversation quickly continues.

Quote:
Do you and Oleg mind if we leave a large map of the Greenbelt here with you? It would make our lives easier if we didn't have to worry about it getting wet or ruined in the wild.

"Well certainly. You can leave the map with me and I'll see to it's safe keepings." She reaches out to grab the map from Anwel and holds it tight to her side. "As for your fangberries, if you just head just south of here you should come upon the Shrike river. Once near it, you should start to see your fangberry bushes."

The group gathers round the table and enjoys a fine meal. It satisfies and nourishes.

Oleg, after finishing up an exchange with the leader of the troops, turns to the group and says, "So I see these lands didn't try to test your skills. Give it time, it always does.

"So where will you head now?"

A warming smile over comes Svetlana as the conversation continues with the two groups. She crosses her arms and looks upon the people talking, happy that the two groups are coming together. Inside, it gives her relief to see that things are going well. This is a very welcomed peace in these troubled days.

Oleg and Svetlana take the chance to continue their conversation with the group of guards from Restov all the while the bandits from before continue to do their work for the day.

Well since my previous post did nothing for actually introducing myself, I'll try this again.

I've been gaming for at least 10 years now. Started right off with RPGs at the beginning and later branched out but always have my love for DnD / PF.

My play style, as some might be able to attest to, is one where I try to maximize the fun while minimizing the mundane. If you're not having fun while doing this, please say so and I will do whatever I can to change. I don't take offense if someone thinks I suck because I do believe that it is very possible to suck at DM'ing.

That being said, lets have a grand 'ole time!

Approaching the fortress the group shouts out to the occupants of the outpost and finds that it peaks the interest of a few folks inside. Heads turn and peer at the oncoming adventurers.

"There they are! That's them!" comes bellowing out from inside the outpost as Svetlana rushes out to meet the approaching group waving the whole way. "These are the nice people that helped us and captured these men for us. How are you friends?"

"Nice to meet such a fine group of men as yourselves," says the human male as he stretches out his hand to greet you for the first time, "my name is Kestren Garess. I'm in charge of these men down here. I apologize for not being here sooner but we were held up. From what Oleg was saying, it seems like you guys had this well under control."

Kestren looks at the bandits who are sitll toiling around the place, performing their chores. "Seems like you have truly scared these men straight. I guess there has not been any problems with them since the "incident."

As everyone makes their way inside, you look around and find that amongst the guards, there are also some fresh faces. You can tell that these certainly are not guards by just their appearance. They are standing around preparing their belongings. They must have just finished up some business with Oleg just before you arrived.

Welcome all again. Its good to bolster the ranks and see the posts going again.

Welcome new folks to our group. Please take a moment to introduce yourself to our group.

Don't go into great detail since you are not exactly "with the group" just yet.

To continue with our campaign we will be selecting the follow people:

Andrei Avotrus

Gorax

Stellan Volkov

Thank you to all of those who have applied and best of luck in your gaming future.

To those who have been selected, take a chance to introduce yourself to our group in our discussion section and then we shall continue with our story.

Sounds good to me. Lets keep it going for another couple days and then we'll see where we are.

Bimbur have any thoughts on the applicants?

Seems like we have a few options. When would we like to close the recruitment?

As mentioned above by Anwel, we are looking for about 3 more players. Here are the pertinents...

Active posters (A post every day or two)
-Level 1 character
-Most race/class are accepted.
-Stick with "good" alignment unless you can play a group-friendly evil person
-25 point buy
-Backstory is always helpful to better understand how I am going to make sure you enjoy the game

No one specifically in mind. I've poked a few friends, but many had the sort of "eh, I guess" response... so I probably won't take them up on it.

I'll post something in the recruitment section here and see who comes in. After a couple days, I'll let you guys decide who you want to join. I'll just say how many I'd like.

I think we'll count Garth out.

Since this is a game for you guys, how do you feel about selecting the recruits?

The only thing I would look for is someone who posts daily (weekends are an exception) and is a good team player.

Udoeak still with us as well?

I thought we were going to continue on for the time being with the people we had.

I wanted to see if Garth was in or not.

If I still don't hear from him by the end of this week, I'll just boost the ranks.

Then it is settled. I will wait for Garth to respond to this although I would be surprised if he doesn't wish to continue.

In the meanwhile, feel free to continue with gameplay and we will carry forth.

Can I count in anyone else? Once I have a total head count I will consider opening up recruitment.

So far we're down Khargol, Jeremiah, and probably Richard Hawke.

And so the group sets forth across the land back to Oleg's outpost. It is a relatively short ride and very familiar since it was only traveled the other day.

As the travel goes on, you often find yourself peering round the land wondering about the "dangers" of these Stolen Lands. It is hard to understand what the hazards could be since, from you have seen, it only appears to be occupied with some thieves. Which is not all the different from the lively cities from which you originally came from. Maybe time will tell a different tale.

As you come closer to the wooden outpost, you can see the Restov banner flying outside signaling that the patrol has made it to the outpost. Four guards stand at the gate guarding the entrance with their respective horses. From the distance you can see that there is quite the number of people inside, some appearing to be guards, others dressed not as formally. Along with the patrol's horses, you also take note of other mounts as well which are not as "nicely" dressed. These appear to be more plainly suited.

Farewell Khargol. May things in life go easy for you.

Anwel wrote:
I'd like to think we can disagree on a matter or two, or many, and discuss these disagreements rationally, without getting bogged down in frustration.

I will agree to disagree. As long as I'm not going to ruin your fun (or anyone elses) I would like to proceed with your suggestions in mind. I will taper back the XP given on exploration and focus more on "specialized" encounters.

I will do my best to make sure that these encounters fit the story well enough but I would stress you don't look too much into them (unless I get a huge strike of creativity) until later when the creative juices get flowing.

I should have stated before that I don't want attrition to set in with this group just yet. I was pushing more for easy XP now to get everyone hooked and then later shift to more random encounters but your suggestion works well for me.

Clear night time skies gives way to a spectacular view of the stars above. It gives those staring into the heavens a chance to reflect on events passed.

The night comes and goes. Uneventful.

Upon morning's arrival, you look around from your camp sight, focusing northwest. After a moment, it is clear that a white smoke signal is rising from Oleg's outpost. The city patrol must have arrived.

You will make your way when the party is ready.

Just dropping a quick note to say I'm out of town for this weekend. I fully plan on coming back on Tuesday morning. We can chit chat till then and go full bore Tuesday.

Before I go into a specific response on what has been said, let me set the stage here. Also I will say it many times after this but please understand that you will not hurt my feelings if you don't agree with my way of conducting this game. I threw my hat into the ring for DM'ing this adventure as a new challenge to my DM'ing experience and if it turns out that what I come up with is not what people like, then so be it. I will change or adapt, and if that is not successful, I will step down. We are here to have fun and not to get frustrated and I will have no part in the latter.

As we have discussed before in this post, I have traditionally never gone down the route of handing out specific experience when it comes to encounters. For no real reason, I just have played my games with a simple "You now advance to the next level" statement. I could very well see that this could be something negative about me as a DM because it is straying from the typical means to DM'ing.

Related to this, in the times that I have used exact XP values I also throw in my sort of twist on how it is played out. I am aware of the total amount of XP that should be gainged from exploring but to hand it out in a constant value everytime is something I don't agree with. Let's say (for the sake of keeping this short) I like to apply the rule of "diminishing returns." This being your first time exploring something, I say you, as a fictional person, gain a lot of knowledge doing something for the first time. If you continue to explore and push forward, you will repeat many of the same actions and not really learn anything new, hence a diminishing return in experience. I don't apply this to much else (I.E. combat), but since this is an auxiliary means of gaining XP, I didn't see much harm in using it here. To me, the point of this adventure is to seek out the adventures in the land and have fun doing so. What I don't see as the point, is to trudge around the land in the hopes of scraping together the XP that could be earned from it. Basically, I don't want you all to be forced to cover the whole map because of that notion you are missing some XP.

Again, I can completely understand some people not liking how I do this and I am always open to opposite opinions.

Lastly, as with any other pre-made material I have used, I will always look to change things. More specifically, I look to alter early level content mostly because I have felt that this point in the game we don't have as many "fun tools" to use as we would later in the game. Throwing a little extra XP to you in the beginning to push you up is not going to alter the outcome of the game if things get tailored back.

Now, specifically to what you are saying Anwel, I'd like to offer the following. If this does not suit you because of the way that you like to play, I will not argue.

Anwel wrote:
I'd be happy to trust him if he trusted us.

Quite frankly, I have every bit of trust in you and I have no reason to not trust you. I fully believe that you can play your characters quite effectively and don't want this to be concieved as a doubt in your abilities to play the game. What I am trying to do is to push us past level 1 and quickly.

A little playing with the math of early levels and it should be easy to see that you can die very quickly. A good bow shot to someone with 6HP means you are dead and to me, that is not fun. A good bow shot to someone with 20HP is not going to be as debilitating. Therefore, I feel now is a good time to apply my rule of "diminishing returns." Get easy XP early to get you up to safe levels, then come back to more traditional means of playing the game.

To add to this further, I have seen everyone here make some FANTASTIC characters that, quite frankly, make me jealous. I would almost feel bad if someone died this early in the game.

In short, I agree with you. The whimsical decision to give the XP that I did might have seen ridiculous without a proper explanation. I would not be opposed to adjusting what has been handed out.

Thoughts?

And as I've said, if what I'm saying is too far out there, I would not be opposed to altering/adapting or in worse case, stepping down and letting a different person try their hand in running this.

Anwel wrote:
To be blunt, it's incredibly much. We're meant to get 25 XP per character per hex explored (that is, 100 XP per party per hex explored for a party of four or five), and you're giving us two orders of magnitude more than that.

If this is going to ruin your fun, then by all means, please reduce the amount to 25XP. I didn't intend to make this into something but if this will offset something, we will change it.

Often times I find that the amount of XP given out is never enough and people come up short at the end. I was going to use this as a way to move things along.

That number, along with most numbers I'll post, is per character.

I hope this isn't too much since we are only level 1. Later on, I might get more "stingy."

Between Khargol, Jeremiah, and Udoeak plenty of food is gathered for all to eat at tonight's camp.

Looking into the distance, you do not see any smoke coming from Oleg's post. There must be no change in their status.

The party will settle in for the evening.

If you are done with the day, feel free to let me know. You can always continue to exchange stories and experiences before doing so.

If the party is breaking for the evening, shall anyone stay up for a watch? This could be a standard list I would go to for overnight vigils

Edit: For charting this part of the land, you all shall receive an easy 200 XP

"I will thank you kindly for anything you can bring back. Now, if you excuse me, I have some work to do. <sigh> ...Lovely."

With that, Bokken turns around, puts the dirty goggles back on to his face, and heads back into his hut.

Udoeak wrote:
Ah yes, the chiller coil. Rather touchy instrument, wouldn't you say?

"Very fickle. Yes. Very fickle. You must know what you are doing."

Udoeak wrote:
I'd be more inclined to help you if I knew anything about fangberries. I can't say they ring a bell at the moment. What, by chance, are you offering for them?

"Fangberries can be found south of here. Maybe 50 to 60 miles. Small yellow berries. Will pay 5 gold per bushel you bring. It would be lovely. Yes."

"Oh ... Thank you." With his vision restored, he understands the problem and removes the goggles. It is clearly outlined on his face where they say from the soot outline.

"So you are Oleg's friends? Lovely." says the man in a very quick fashion. Bokken seems rather skittish and often twiches his head down to his shoulder. "You are here to help clean up these lands? Lovely... " He strokes his chin slightly cleaning the soot that resides there.

Bokken looks at Udoeak as he speaks and responds "Lovely to meet you too. As you can see, I was working on a new potion when something went wrong. All was going well; almost found the right concoction and just needed to reduce it a little..." His words slowly soften while he continues to speak making it impossible to hear yet you see his lips moving. "...it just right then BOOOM! Oh well. It must be the chiller coil. Must be. Lovely. I have no work for you now, I must clean and repair this place myself. BUT!

I am running low on Fangberries. If you find some while out adventuring, please gather them for me. Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Where is Richard? He seems to be absent lately

The group calls out for the man inside to come out when loud sounds start to come from inside the house. The menagerie that comes from this little hut sounds like a mix of metal pounding on metal, something leaking steam, small random and rapid explosions, and a man inside making various grunts, moans, and woots. It builds in magnitude to a final crescendo with a loud "BOOOOOM!"

You jump back slightly and are startled as the door flings violently wide open right after the explosion. It crashes fiercely against the side of the hut, knocking off the door handle and nearly popping it off it's make-shift hinges. It is impossible to see inside as smoke is now billowing out from inside; a dark grey smoke so thick it is impossible to see anything behind it. From what you are able to perceive, the entire hut must now be completely filled with this smog.

A brief moment later, when it seemed to have quieted down, a fair sized male comes stumbling out of it flailing his arms widely and shouting, "Who is that? Who is there? Show yourself!" The shouts come in short rapid bursts as the man looks left and right but seems to not find anyone. His hair is completely disheveled and blown back. His entire face appears to be completely covered in black soot, clearly from whatever experiment went completely wrong including the over-sized goggles that are now blinding him. The only things in his hands are the cracked stems of near-shattered alchemist bottles.

"I know your out there! I heard you calling!"

As the mounts are readied, you stare out into the open land. You know deep inside that it is the start of your adventure as you embark on a journey to explore the wild Stolen Lands. You have come far and are ready for this first step.

As the group makes its way out in the wilderness, you look back on the fortress, making sure that things haven't soured in short absence but all seems well. Turning back to your group there are conversations that ensue between people but are not concerned with it. You are consumed with the moment. This is your time to make your mark on history.

The party makes its way southeast into the open lands. The journey is safe and uneventful. You ponder if these lands are as dangerous as Oleg and Svetlana have said.

As the travel continues and time passes, you notice in the distance a small stack of smoke rising from a small hut. After a minute you peer closer. You see that the house is not much other than simple place for someone or some couple to call their home.

The group stops short of the building and looks around. Seems very quiet although from a random noise here or there, you can tell that there are signs of life inside.

Jeremiah wrote:
As Anwel said, we'd make much better time with a single horse, as I'd be slowin' down the march considerably with my leg. I'm afraid I can't offer a trade, as I don't have much t' give, but I swear I'll take fine care of it, an' bring it back hearty an' hale.

Oleg does not wait for the man to finish before he says, "Do not worry. With your promise that you will take good care of them, I can offer you two horses and possibly a mule to carry your items. Take care of them and return them when you are finished." Svetlana adds, "It is the least we can do."

Khargol wrote:
Can you provide us with any information that would be helpful in our explorations or how to locate those you mentioned as having a 'story to tell.'?

Svetlana stares at the clouds for a minute, thinking then says, "Well, if you head southeast of here, you will meet an eccentric fellow named Bokken. He's a potion maker and often times has something pestering him. You could stop there. Or you might just want to head southwest from here and enter the Narlmarches, which is the name of the forest. Many times we have received tales of creatures in there; some friendly and some not-so-friendly.

Oleg adds to the conversation, "These lands could keep a group of adventurers busy for ages. I've spent some time out there and always returned with a story."

Bimbur wrote:
Any allies or landmarks nearby?

"I'm afraid there are not many folks south of here that we can call allies. These lands are open and unclaimed; still the home to some savage beasts. Some of the hunters that pass through here speak of some crazed beast that lies in the heart of the Narlmarches. As for landmarks, unless you consider a tomb stone to be a friendly sight, I can't think of much. If I hear anything worthwhile, I will let you know."

That is correct Bimbur

Probably the best way to say which direction you would like to travel would be to say one of the following directions...

N, NE, SE, S, SW, NW

... or use those to make discussing the direction you would like to travel a tad easier.

And please pardon my amateur photoshopping. I'm an engineer, not a graphic artist. Heh

Anwerl wrote:
Oleg and Svetlana can send up smoke signals for us - white when the Restovites arrive, black if Happs and his gang give them trouble.

The couple look at Anwel when he finishes and in unison, both nod their head in agreement. "Good idea. I shall prepare the fire stacks today..." Oleg finishes then then turns to look at his new help, "... and maybe I'll use some of my new hires."

And so the group readies themselves to travel forth and explore the Greenbelt. Being fantastic cartographers, they have mapped out where they have been thus far on a small map and use this to plan their next trip...

Let me know the direction you would like to travel to. Obviously you are at the little building, which is Oleg's outpost. Each hex is 12 miles across
