I like the new classes with additional choices and customization. I also see class complication usually being in the build, and complication sort of "fades away" as play begins.

Points for the Barbarian's rage powers in playtest so far with my group has not been to any detrement. Personally, yes, I would prefer to avoid "power point"-based class mechanics and find a way to allow the Barbarian to choose other abilities to trigger with a rage besides using points...but at the moment it's pretty slick and confined to that one class, so I'll live.

Just throwing in my 2 cents that my group so far liked the rules as presented for Favored Class in the BETA and would like to see it in the final as well.

I went hunting through the BETA for a list of languages to verify that the four elemental languages got merged... but I can't seem to find it. Does this table of languages still exist?

The list they might be working off of is on page 220-221 of the Golarion campaign setting hardcover book. Also on page 16 of the Gazeteer. I don't recall seeing the list in the BETA anywhere.

Knowing it will be a wait, I still can't argue that this will help them focus on the book one stage at a time, so that's cool.

Just curious, today's the day! Do orders placed today still count as current or still waiting? The item still shows as a preorder.

Totally understood (and well put). Any snafus for the beta playtest are still forgiven as it evolves and get polished up over the next 8 months!

Then this is a placeholder until we get to the magic chapter. On page 360 at the top it says:

"A staff has 50 charges when created."

And then a couple paragraphs down...

"Staves hold a maximum of 10 charges."

That's the boat I'm about to sail on as well. I may do minor work to help out a classed NPC gain a couple PF class abilities but otherwise use it as-written.

That's correct, the OGL in the back is for the 2 Necro monsters only. I didn't want to see another bizarre accident like what happened to Fast-Forward!

If there really are only about 750 game stores lift alive, maybe a simple small flyer to all reminding them of who Paizo is and what they are doing is in order.

Or an Email.

And, in my mind Pathfinder is the "latest version". I will stick by my original ideals. I was sad to let my Necromancer purchases wane in the event they went with a game I don't intend to play. But I will most certainly be the first to ante up and support them again when I see the first Necromancer-Pathfinder product.

My very best wishes to Clark in keeping Necro alive and supporting what, in my opinion anyway, IS the new version of D&D.

76 Pages, by Nicolas Logue

Artwork is color & B&W shaded and art and layout remind me a bit of a Ravenloft feel, but unique. The font isn't large, and the pages are packed with info.

Statblocks are Paizo style through and through. They are called out in shaded columns on the pages where they are needed, this organization is suberb.

Maps are also color and easy to read. And, wow, the big one on page 28 has an awesome feel to it!

There's a few new monstersand player handouts.

Someone was a patron for me but never read it, is sponsoring it for me as a birthday present. I can't figure out how to thank him, the more I see of this the more impressed I am. Now to give it a good, solid read.

Certainly if Mr. Baur and company continue this project I'll be jumping on board for the next one.

WotC's new hobby is trying to figure out what makes money for other people, like Facebook and World of Warcraft, then produce pitiful knockoffs like Gleemax and 4e, hoping people are really as stupid as they think and will just give them money.

Better watch out, I hear Batman just made some money, so in the next D&D movie Drizz't will be masked fighting an orc king with makeup splashed all over his face.

Oh no, I hear Oprah Winfrey is pretty rich. Next we'll be seeing a new talk show where gamers deal with their frustrations with each other on a TV program hosted by a 250-pound Mialee.

Even as WotC had my childhood game by the throat and was choking the life out of it, the Paizo golem swooped in with cape flying and saved the day, my game, and my group's sanity.

-DM Jeff

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Maps Subscriber)

Here's my plan. Yes, I do keep up with it.

I used to read Dragon and Dungeon magazines each month before the next issues came out, so reading the monthly Pathfinder Adventure path is easy. It's done a little bit at a time, sometimes daily, till the next one hits.

I make the extra time for the "Guides to this and that".

That said, I expect to take vacation time in August to do nothing but read for 2 weeks straight! ;-)

-DM Jeff

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Maps Subscriber)

Gleemax was not cool to begin with and was crashing left and right even last year at GenCon when they tried flooding it with new members. It was supposed to replace facebook or myspace for gamers, and tripped flat on it's brain.

So, not surprised, no.

-DM Jeff

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Maps Subscriber)

Finally collected my thoughts. Yes, it's a mess and got a lot of folks angry, me included...at first.

But now it's a really good feeling. After my current campaign I feel more free knowing I'll not have official product muck up my designs or stray drastically from my vision. I never truly let that interfere before, but now the future is truly in my and my player's hands because we'll have nothing to do with this "new Realms". I've got all the support my material from when it was still cool.

Second, that saves my money to spend on Paizo. woot

Frinds, I'm having a hard time remembering an item I swore I saw in my WotC 3.5 books.

Basically, my player wants an item that, when activated by another, will let her know he's in danger so she can go to him.
