I realize that Hruskin's ability to magically create water isnt well known, that is why i put it in an ooc box rather then suggest it to everyone. i was sorta putting it out there as an idea so that he could suggest it if he wanted too. with my survival skill i can find water if we need to.
I was saying that in reference to the goodberries
Ur-Kaim: Yes. Rhukaan Draal is the capital of Darguun, there are black markets, you can easily find anything up to 1000gp value.
Hruskin Gelddar wrote: Drexel Morrow wrote: Hruskin has create water as a cantrip we dont need to find water, ever. :) I am a useful goblin, I am!
Since cure spells won't work, perhaps the druid would be so kind as to stock up on goodberries? I believe those can be made and brought into the Mournland and should work as advertised. Otherwise we ought to be mostly stocked up, unless anyone needs anything special? Now that isn't general knowledge...
Go ahead and shop for your extra stuff. The horses arrive, fully outfitted with studded barding, saddlebags, and 3 weeks of rations, obviously you'll have to find your own water. Since 3 weeks of water would break the horses backs. However 3 water flasks are provided on each horse.
No, according to the Craft skill list in PFRPG, bows and crossbows are made with (Bowmaking)

As the horse won't go in the mist once you get to the Mournlands, if he's still not back, he'll be guarding the animals...Dave should I have "Shiv" be hanging out in the mist, waiting for you?

It seems the rest of the party talks and drinks the night away
In the morning, after you've prepared to leave and had morning meal, as you depart the Inn, you now understand why no one else entered the rest of the evening, there are hobgoblin guards on watch outside the inn. As you step outside, a sergeant crosses his arms over his chest in salute and says"Keshk, please, your animals will be ready shortly, gather whatever other supplies in the next 2 hours and by noon break you can be on your way."

I look over to Haruuc and ask "Are you going to share any of what you have in that bottle that the inn keep gave to you or do you plan to drink it all your self?"
there are 5 of us correct? my share would be 20 plat?
As you say that, the goblin wench brings over more bottles of the "good stuff"
"HeRE yOu GO!, FounD mORe In tHEe BaCk roOOom" In her annoying screeching voice. hyahyahya" (Think Fran Dresher)
there are 6 of you actually. Just Rethas hasn't been on since last week, so 16 each with 4 left over would be the specific split...there are however 4 hobgoblins/2 goblins I think...
The elderly goblin pokes his head back in
"Good, good, place not broken...mighty duur'kala said give you free food and drink tonight, and safe rooms..."
with that he enters again, and heads behind the bar
you can hear the rest of the goblin staff entering through the back door.
Note: you have your full compliment of action points at the start of the game. I have additional uses for action points, I have 2 listed right now on my profile, so check it out, I will be adding more
Go ahead and figure out what else you might need, describe your evening, and then it will fade to black and be morning, if Rethal shows back up soon, then we'll flashback any questions he has.
The door opens and one of the bugbears enters
"Many apologies duur'kala, but it's time."
RP and participation XP will be rewarded. The more participation, the more XP
Note: If I put a Skill Check:DCXX [[spoiler]]... you can read the spoiler if you succeed at the skill check.
you can obviously read the spoiler if you don't but, it won't be character knowledge and if I think you're acting with OOC knowledge I might just give you 0xp for that encounter, or target you with nastiness, like a vorpal-toothed bunny...aka..an ahkraap'ahkraap'omg-omg'k'toosh in goblinoid

I can only succeed up to a DC of 10 because i am untrained in both, unless your house rules are different? this is the check for the Dirge Singer
Perception 1d20+7=27
to see whats up with Malach
sigh... two wasted nat 20s
I listen to the conversation that is occuring between Malach and Ur-Kaim but do not comment since i speak draconic
Anyone who scored a 10 or better can read the appropriate entries in Kaega'ko's profile
Malach was speaking in goblinoid, albeit with a heavy accent before.
Rethal, we're waiting for you on the main thread. I don't know if you've been watching it or not, been since last Thursday since you've posted there...the game is afoot.
Everyone if you check out the profile for "DM Dhakaan" There are house rules and the growing Lexicon of Goblinoid words. If you don't you're a karuush'dae, heh just kidding, but look it up to see what I called you!!
I hope my entrance was up to par! heh, man Haruuc your IC dice are mean to you today...
OK, that's good, the others can catch up from that point)

y'know, I read that...this morning...right after I had gotten up...so I read it but that part didn't register! LoL...so, [jedi mindtrick]forget what I said[/jedi mindtrick]
Feel free to make up additional goblinoid words to add additional flavor to the game.
I made up a couple already:
Maka'akesh - An annual tournament
keshk - Sire
keshka - Lady (made that the femanine version.
Just try to make the new words seem like existing goblinoid words like:
Lhesh
Kech Sharaat
Darguun
Dhakaan
etc

Nope: I found it...
Now, Spiked Chain is exotic...and you don't have the exotic feat.
Haruuc, where's Darguun Mauler feat at?
Everyone else....at least list a reference location for any feats that aren't from the PH... I have like 60 books, and work full-time so I tend to lose track of where things are....

You were born during the coterminous period of Syrania, you are touch by the Azure Sky. Gain a +2 bonus to acrobatics checks

Blade Bearer
You were trained as a blade bearer, an expert with a great sword
You gain a +1 trait bonus to attack with great swords
The rest of the goblins begin to get rowdy singing songs!
take your sword,
take your spear,
slice thems guts,
poke thems rears.
drink some blood
drink some beer
run and hide
when more appear!
Smash em, cut them,
Eat their young,
kill them, cook them,
yum yum yum!

It's fine, I'm sure Haruuc is a common name???
I'll get the traits sorted out tonight, go ahead and enter the GG...get some interaction with the other characters.
You're going to have the same name as the leader of Darguun?
And you're in, if Kurgal gets finished we'll deal with that later. Game starts in earnest tomorrow. Haruuc, go ahead and finish up you stuff, and we'll be rolling...
Ok , what specifically do you all WANT from your Dhakaani adventure? I'll get the game started in the way I'm going to, but where do you want it to go?
HAHA, I actually looked it up also...then typed it wrong...
oops...
1.It's Eberron, alignment isn't as restrictive as normal D&D so, I don't think being an Assassin you have to be evil...especially in hobgoblin society...
2. roll 2nd level HP, use invisiblecastle or another dice roller.
Flash, how is it going creating that character? Kurgal still hasn't updated his character...
Traits have been created and assigned to all complete characters. I hope you feel they fit well enough.

Mental Training

You have 1 psionic power point and the ability to focus psionically
Rethal, don't forget to change your infusion descriptions to show Psionic instead of Magic, where it occurs. Rethal here's your second trait.
Self-reliant
Having to teach yourself has made you more self-sufficient.
you may attempt any skill untrained
Ur-Kaim:
Here's your traits
Hunter
You're not a full fledged Gatekeeper, but your family has been trained by the Gatekeepers to hunt the horrors of Xoriat.Add knowledge(planes) as a class skill, and may be used to instead of knowledge(dungeoneering) when making skill checks to identify aberrations and their abilities. [i]Identify weaknesses in Xoriat-born aberrations with a DC20 allowing an increase threat range of weapons and spells by 1.

*TOP SECRET*
You may use an action point re-roll a failed roll
You did not receive a scroll inviting you here as the other five did...
out of curiosity...why do you have no melee weapons?

Do you feel your traits are appropriate for your concept? The Word bearer trait plays into the tribe well. The bladed trait seems a little out of place but I can dig it. I did that since you had said you were developing yourself like the traditional Dhakanni fighter, to be a close in fighter...kukri is a bladed weapon, so I converted one of the other existing traits, and voila!

Flash, if you don't mind creating the character without being able to start yet, I wouldn't mind assigning traits for the future.
I don't want to watch 3 threads once the game is started, use the actual Game Thread once we're started and just use the [[ooc]] tag for OOC stuff, behind a [[spoiler]] tag if it's quite large.

I am a big fan of Eberron (have all the books), but never played.
I am also a big fan of Hobgoblins and have never had the opportunity to play them either, so this is a win/win PbP for me. :D
Concept would most probably be either a Fighter/Rogue or a Sorcerer, depending on what the party needs.
Keep me in mind ;)
OK Flash, you're my first alternate.
Continue with introducing yourselves to each other, once I get Ur-Kaim's background and finish assigning traits, I will introduce the liaisons.
Ur-Kaim, I need your background before I can give you traits. I need to assign you traits before we can proceed to the actual game.
