Hello lady's and gents,

I'm looking for interest in a military oriented Kingmaker PBP game that I intend to run. I need 4-5 players who's character is; (A) solider in the Brevory military, (B) loyal to the sword lords of Restove or antagonistic to the rulers of Brevory, and © fills a responsibility niche such as Supply, Command, Scout, ext.

Character Creation guidelines::
PRD material only, no Witch, Summoner or Gunslinger. Samurai and Ninja on a case-by-case basis. 20pt buy. 1st level, max Hp. no starting gold.

Your current situation:
You sit mentally an physically exhausted in a prison cell of a southern border fort. For days you have waited to be executed.

Two weeks ago you where awoken in the middle of the night by fellow Brevory soldiers. Charged with sedition against the Crown, you should have been brought before your commanding officer for public trial and punishment; instead you where sequestered and transported to Restove.

Arrival in the city followed the same pattern of injustice. Your trial was held in secret before a panel of three high ranking sword lords and the lord mayor. With the charges read aloud, the panel unanimously sentenced you to be Hung until Dead. The trial lasted only several minuets, at no time where you aloud to speak in your own defense.

Question’s an suggestion's welcome.
thanks for your time

And for that I thank you :)

I think Neil already posted the feedback. Our main problem was this is an item designed for a situation that really never comes up. Clearly its a "sneak something through a window" item.

You did a great job with the template and clearly show some freelancer mojo!

What I would take away from this item:

1. You don't have to play to the masses, its not a user popularity contest, but a superstar doesnt make an item that is so limited that it only sees use under really narrow, narrow circumstances (and if they do it is so awesome that we dont care, and this one wasnt).
2. Your execution, though, is really good and with the right item there is no reason you couldnt advance next year.

Good luck!

Gloves of the Impossible Bottle
AuraFaint Transmutation CL 5th
Slot Hands Price 1500gp Weight -

Description
When Equipped, these very thin translucent silk gloves conform to fit the hands like a second skin. On command, once per day, the wearer can place his hands through solid glass. The glass barrier must be non-magical, and be no more than one inch thick. Only the hands and wrists, which the gloves cover, are allowed to penetrate the glass. While inside the glass, spells can be cast as if the barrier were not between the target and the caster, and skill checks requiring the hands are made without penalty. In addition to this, a single item of up to one pound of non-living material, can be carried through the glass. The item must be small enough to fit in one of the wearers hands. Once the gloves are placed through the glass, movement of the hands more than one foot in any direction causes the glove's magic to end. The duration is 10 minutes, or until one of the gloves is removed. If the magic of the gloves is suppressed, or it's duration ends, the wearer's hands are ejected from the glass with no ill effects. Both gloves must be worn for the magic to be effective.

Hello eveyone, your friendly DM Ryuko here, finding himself with enough time for one more game so who wants to play some Kingmaker?

Character Creation:
All Core Paizo Material Allowed (CRB, APG, UM, UC)
Most Paizo Splatbooks Allowed (___ of Golarion, Adventurer's Armory, Others with DM Approval)
Third Party Material subject to DM Approval. (Super Genius is pretty good if you wanna check them out.)
20 Point Buy
4 Characters
2 Traits (1 Campaign)
1 Backstory
2 Plot Hooks for Later
1 Reason your character absolutely can't or won't go home
1 Extra Noncombat Feat (Any +2 to two skills feats, Endurance, DMs call on Noncombat Feats)

Banned:
(Note that this is not a comprehensive list, and some things may be banned. I apologize for being unable to list all, but I'll list what I can.)
Wild Rager Archetype
Pounce Allows One Attack Per Limb
Rage Cycling (Barbarians, even those immune to fatigue, must wait twice as long as they were in rage to enter it again)
Synthesist Archetype
Master Summoner Archetype
Antagonize Feat
Clustered Shots
Falcata

Notable Houserules:
Power Attack, Combat Expertise and Lunge are combat options. Anyone with STR 13 or higher may Power Attack. Anyone with DEX or INT 13 or higher may use CE. Anyone with a BAB of more than 6 may make Lunge attacks.
Combat Maneuvers provoke Attacks of Opportunity only with a failure, not with the attempt.
Vital Strike is a single feat that scales.
Weapon Finesse/Agile Manuevers are Options of Finessable Weapons and no longer feats.
Dervish Dance is replaced by Expert Strikes. Expert Strikes is a feat requiring a BAB of +4 which allows you to add your DEX bonus instead of STR bonus to damage for Finessable Weapons.
Weapon Proficiency is a trait. Using a Feat on Weapon Proficiency gains you Proficiency in 2 weapons.

And that's all. If that doesn't scare you off, then submit a character. I will be closing submissions Wednesday night at 10 PM Central Time (~51 hours from now) and will choose four heroes then.

Happy Gaming!!

Welcome to Infinite Dungeon!

Infinite Dungeon is a campaign based on a dungeon crawl experience with a heavy emphasis on dungeoneering, combat, and exploration. While the game will place less of an emphasis on role playing encounters, having strong writing skills (or the ability to narrate an interesting character) is mandatory to participate in this game. Below are the guidelines for this game.

Character Creation:
1st Level
25 Point Buy
2 Traits
Max Hit Points
Average Wealth
Source Material: Core Rulebook, Advanced Player’s Guide, Ultimate Magic, Ultimate Combat (see House Rules for details)

House Rules:
1. No Archetypes
2. Only Core Classes (no Advanced Player's Guide, Ultimate Combat or Ultimate Magic classes)
3. Only Core Races (no Bestiary races as PCs)
4. Banned Feats:
- Leadership
5. Modified Feats*:
- Agile Maneuvers: Is no longer a Feat, applies to all Finessable weapons
- Combat Expertise: Combat Maneuver instead of a Feat
- Deadly Aim: Combat Maneuver instead of a Feat
- Dervish Dance: Feat applies to all Finessable Weapons
- Power Attack: Combat Maneuver instead of a Feat
- Vital Strike: A single scaling Feat that improves at 11th and 16th levels similar to Improved Vital Strike and Greater Vital Strike
- Weapon Finesse: Is no longer a Feat, applies to all Finessable weapons
- Weapon Proficiency: Now a Trait instead of a Feat

* Modified Feats are inspired by DM Ryuko.

Expectations:
1. Character applications will be submitted replying to this thread, with three spoiler tags: one labeled "Character Sheet" with your character's crunch, the second labeled "Writing Example" with a one to three paragraph example of your writing involving your character, and the third labeled "Questions for the GM" for all your questions you have for me.
2. Characters should be very flexible. Min-maxing is discouraged and a well rounded character is preferred with flesh out personality.
3. Posting is expected to be daily with a minimum of five days a week, Monday-Friday. Weekends will be "off days" but you are free to post as it is not expected.

The setting for this campaign is in line with the title: Infinite Dungeon. This game is not set in Golarion or any other established setting. At the beginning of the game the characters will be introduced to the dungeon crawl and will spend the majority of their adventures within a massive, sprawling dungeon. I look forward to seeing your applications and will close recruiting when I see fit. Thank you.

Attack on the Fort (Death of Dashki, Narg, and Orcella (The elven necromancer)

Spoiler:

Greetings everyone. Here is the breakdown of the full inventory of the Fort you took over. Everyone will be level 6 at the begining of next game, and here is how the xp broke down...

First off, you currently have 13,636xp and are 5th level.

BREAKDOWN:

Bonus Austin Lycanthrope encounter: CR5 (1600xp)
Genocide on the Three Jaws Tribe: CR7 (3200xp)
Dashki CR6 (2400xp)
Narg CR6 (2400xp)
Orcella CR7 (3200xp)
Gnoll Shaman CR3 (800xp)
Gnoll Archers x4 CR2 (2400xp)
Gnoll Flinds x2 CR3 (1600xp)
Gnoll Barbarians x2 CR2 (1200xp)
Regular Gnolls x5 CR1 (2000xp)
Ghouls x5 CR1 (2000xp)
Wight x2 CR3 (1600xp)
Ghast (advanced) CR2 (600xp)
Pit Trap CR2 (600xp)

Total xp: 25,600xp (Over double prevous game)

XP each = 5120xp
Giving you all 18,756xp and 6th level.

7th level will be earned at 23,000 instead of 21,000 like old 3.5, so just 4k away from that achievement.

Alright, now here is the loot breakdown (most of which you know about). Red items were things I missed because my loot sheet was in my desert terrain bag (which you know I left sitting in my room instead of in my big box).

Dashki: Potion of Serious Wounds x2 (one has blood all over the vial from 3 severed fingers spurting all over it) Potion of Cats Grace, +2 Glamoured Studded Leather, Boots of Striding +5ft. Movement, MW Scimitar, Short Sword +1.

Narg: Potion of Expeditious Retreat, Flindbar +1 (+2damage with pin), Handwraps of Mage armor 1/day 1st level caster, Book of the Brutal Fist (weapon specialization without the fighter pre-requisite.

Orcella: Bag of Holding, Ring of minor empowerment (3/day 2nd level or lower spells), Spell Book, Unholy symbol of Asmodeous, MW Great Axe w/materials for +1 enchantment, MW heavy repeating crossbow w/materials for +1 enchantment, (3) Scrolls which I forgot to write down on my main sheet here but we have the cards and I will update this email once I get those.

Shaman: Kayeffi of charisma +2, (which I never got to cast a spell from this hoe), ring of feather falling.

You also found two messages from the Carrion King.

1) Asks Orcella to check out the progress of the Circle Tribe on finding an item. The item name is not mentioned, but there is no doubt that Orcella and the Carrion King know what this item is by the tone of the message. It is written in Common.

2) Asks Orcella to ramp up the building of a force of gnolls because the Carrion King "marches soon" to battle. Also written in common.

Both of these messages have no date on them, but the battle march message looks older (or looks like it has sit on her shelf longer) than the one about the Circle tribes escavation and search.

Gold and other valuables found:

Dashki: 275gp, silver banded ruby ring with inscription on inside of band (written in gnoll) 400gpv.

Narg: 15 Silver Shuriken (unballanced) -1 to hit but worth 25gp in raw silver material, iron banded ruby ring with inscription on inside of band (written in gnoll) worth 200gpv, and 275gp.

Orcella: (found in the bag of holding or in her private quarters) 4000gp, 500pp, 18 assorted crude and uncut jewels worth about 800gp, and a MW pair of Slippers (like she was preparing another item for enchantment) worth 125gp.

suits of leather armor x7
suits of hide armor x4
suits of studded leather x8
spears x10
short bows x7
arrows x442
wooded shields (light) x5
wooden shields (heavy) x2
lots of crap (clothing and various other things that might as well just be burned with the dead bodies)

Final Assault on the Town of Kelmarane

Spoiler:

Greetings to everyone.

Here is the official email for the closing of AP#19 Howl of the Carrion King.

I know everyone was super excited to finally get INSIDE Kelmarane. It was a long time coming, and I think the entire infiltration, execution, and finishing off of Kardswann, was so perfectly done, that I have thought about it all afternoon and evening.

I would like your feedback on what you thought of this part of the adventure. It is important to me to know if you think it was to easy, a cake walk, you were not challenged, etc... So please leave me feedback at your convenience.

Now, for the goodies. First off, everyone should have 23,001xp before this stuff is added.
