I hope this is in the right forum...
I'm interested in trying Pathfinder Society at GenCon, but have never attended or played PFS.
So I would be starting with 1st level characters.
But most of the games I see listed are higher level.
Are there starting games that are run, or would I have to play pregens for anything I was interested in?

We've lost a few players, so it's time to ask if anyone is interested in playing in the game.

A bit of background. I like the Pathfinder world, and i also like the city of Cauldron from Shackled City. But I'm not too happy with the Shackled City plot in full. So I'm taking some of column A and some of column B (and anything else that catches my fancy) and running a game where Cauldron is the 4th largest city in Varisia, where things might escalate into major world shaking events, and where the PC's are in the middle of it.

We still have a fighter, a cleric, and a wizard in the party. So I'm looking for just about any mix of characters (with a few requirements).
Core book classes only (I’m still not too familiar with the new classes is the reason), although you can use any feat from any Pathfinder books (Advanced players Guide, Ultimate Combat, Ultimate Magic).
The players have just made 3rd level, so I’m looking for 3rd level characters. HP are full at first level, and rolled (with a minimum of ½ dice value) for the other levels.
Two traits (but no campaign traits).

You should be able to post at least once a day (I'll understand vacations and emergencies though).

The wind is steady as your ship comes within sight of Riddleport.

"There's our harbor, just past the Cyphergate," Captain Leonus says to you. He doesn't have to point out the immense arch of stone curving over the harbor entrance, as it's rune covered size draws the eye. It rises from the stoney hills on both sides of the city, and spans the 700 foot opening to the harbor.

"I'm thankful that there was no need for you to wear your arms on the trip," he continues. "I guess the raiders that frequent these waters are busy elsewhere. Anywhays, your path lies up river, to Cauldron, since that be where you be wanting to go. I'd take you there myself, but just past the docks the river gets snags and sandbars something fierce." He spits into the water. "Guess the lords of Riddleport don't want to let any ships avoid their docks."

The ship makes good time into the harbor, and soon is secured to one of the docks. The dockyards have an air of 'good enough' to them, as does the city behind them (although better houses cover the hillside to the west across the river Velashu).

"I'd not stay long in this city," Captain Leonus warns you as you disembark. "The reputation... well, you see soon enough. But to get to your path to Cauldron, take the road out of town that way." He points to the east, where you can see a gap in the hills surrounding Riddleport.
"It passes by swamps, but its a good path that will lead you to the road to Cauldron. You'll be able to meet up with some caravaners of traders on the route, no doubt. Wellaways, Gozreh watch over you."

Welcome heroes.
Here is where we iron out the characters, get everyone on the same page, and engage in OOC discussions.

I'm looking at having you arrive in Riddleport (that hive of villany) and having to make the initial journey up to Cauldron. I'm thinking that you served as hired muscle for a ship whose captian was afraid of piracy. The trip was uneventful, and adventure awaits.

Warning - I've never run a pbp game, but I would like to try to run one.
I've run several ftf games, but this is my first try at pbp, so if you could, give me some help and advice if I need it.

The game will be in a slightly altered Golarian, in the region of Varisia.

Note: As I add more info, this post will grow. Be warned.

Where?:
Up the east brach of the Velashu River from Riddleport, in the Red Mountains above Lurkwood (almost due north of Wormwood Hall), is the city of Cauldron. (Yes, I'm using the city from Shackled City. I like the background and it fits in with things left by Thassilonians.)

What?:
A group of 5 adventurers, to preform missions for the city, themselves, and maybe even save the world... or not.
(Yes, I will use modules, Adventure Paths, Shackled City, and anything else that catches my twisted fancy. Don't expect the Shackled City adventure, it won't happen.)

Who?:
5 2nd level players.
Core rulebook only for classes (Nothing against the other classes, but I'm not familiar enough with the new APG/UM/UC classes, so I want to not start with them. But the feats and archtypes can be used from these books).
20 point buy for stats (no dropping stats below 10 to get extra points; going below 10 due to racial modifiers is allowed).
2nd level characters, full HP for both levels, starting wealth is max plus 1000 for gear. (I'll work out calculating HP for levels later)
No Evil Alignments (I get to play the bad guys, not you.)
You should be prepared to be an adventuring party to start (even if you don't know who you will be playing with yet. I'm not doing the "You met in a bar" trope.)

Odd Details:
Missions for the city will usually be at the request of one of the Four Generals. They are the military/civil athorities that turn the wishes of the Lord Mayor and the nobles into actions.
General Golbez, General of the Outside: Human (Ulfen) Military commander, deals with problems outside the city (bandits, goblins, Nolands raids, etc.)
General Azrinae, General of the Inside: Elf Watch commander, deals with problems inside the city.
Gereral Cid, General of Supply: Dwarf Quartermaster and Engineering commander, deals with supply, sieges, and underground situations.
General Kefka, General of the Underhand: Human (Cheliax) magic commander, in charge of things that people usually don't want to know about.

I'm sure this has been solved elsewhere, but I can't find it.

A Changling gets claws as part of her racial heritage. Do these count as an unarmed attack, and provoke an AoO, or are they like monsters, and count as armed (and therefore do not provoke an AoO)?
