My group decided they didn't trust the guards at the begining of the game, and paid a shiver den to keep Lamm in a stupor for a few months and forgot about him. Then they negotiated with the Spider King at Eel's End instead of fighting (they brought spiders the druid had trained to fight as entertainment, plus a few games of knivesies, and a 32 diplomacy check). But they mentioned to one of the guards there that thy were the ones who had taken Lamm out, and that he was drugged somewhere. Fast forward to the end of 7 Days to the Grave, they remembered about Lamm and went to check on him.... finding out that the spider king, as the supplier of shiver, easily found Lamm, and took him back to Eel's End. Now they are pissed and want to storm the area, but are level 6 and would walk all over Dervago and Lamm... How would you beef these 2 up for an encounter with 5-6 level 6 characters? From the sounds of it, they currently plan on heading that way as soon as they finish up at the hospice. has anyone seen the Prophets of Science Fiction series on the science channel? I was wondering if anyone know if any Planet stories authors where going to be presented. (the only two episodes I can find are Mary Shelly and Arthur C Clark and Philip K Dick is coming out this coming Wednesday... I have all three set to tape on wednesday... also thought the PS community might be interested in the series Personally, I've always had a soft spot for adventures that showcase the pleasure activities of the area - be it gambling, knivesies, blood pig.... While reading the Inner sea world guide information on the Donkey rat I had a adventure idea I though was really interesting. What if someone was opening a high end restaurant/tavern in a city, but didn't really like the aristocrats and politics of nobility. They get help from the PCs to go hunt creatures like the donkey rat, that are tasty, but frowned upon. As the PCs level, they can be contacted to hunt creatures for the restaurant's 'specials'. Who else is going to harvest enough cockatrices to serve a city's nobility for a week? You know the queen just asked if we could serve red dragon steaks at her coronation, and the PCs are the only ones who can hunt down a red dragon. Normally hunting these things a lot would put you behind the wealth table... but they're selling the meat back to the resturant When going to make a purchase, I noticed that my credit card that I have used fro every single purchase on this site is no longer selectable. poking around, I found it is still in the subscriptions area, just not when I click the select payment method button during checkout. I know it was there last month when I bought Tome of Horrors.... I had a opportunity to use a boon that I had earned in a previous scenario this past week, but forgot I had it. I know there are some bette web designers than me out there - is it possible to create a webpage that you can check off the boons you have/allowing you to output your boons to a single page - maybe the names next to checkboxes and a submit button, and it loads a page with the full text of the boon, thus not telling users what module they are from, so that people can't metagame for them? Ready Player One is defiantly an interesting book. MMO and Sci-FI and lots of 80s references (including lots of D&D ones)! I'm about 1/2 way through, and its a great read so far. Note the link if for the audiobook version, which is read by Will Wheaton and he does a pretty good job Sorry to be a hound (no pun intended) but I'm going to ask again.. would it be possible to include art used in the webfiction into the CUP the same way the art from the Blog is? Last time I asked people said they were going to look into it... but that was a few months ago and I haven't heard anything. Oh, and thanks! I was thinking while I was thumbing through Vaults of Madness today, that I had no idea what the articles section had in it. Then I started thinking back, and relized why.. previous to kingmaker, there were 2-3 blog posts about an adventure path, one of the adventure (latly this has been covered as awesome art previews) and one on the articles in the back half of the book. I think that with Kingmaker the fact that the back half was lots of crunch to fit the front half, and this made it harder to talk about the articles... Now that we are back to setting based articles that are less crunchy, could we go back to doing a overview of the article section of the APs in the blog once in a while? wow that was long winded.
I accidentally deleted the email with my tracking number on it for UPS shipment... so I went into the account order history to look for it there, and once again it appears that the tracking numbers aren't appearing there. I know they've come and gone in recent months, so I wasn't sure if this was on purpose or not, so I thought I'd bring it up The Pathfinder Chronicles minis are very hard to find on the Pathfinder page, or on the products by paizo page in the store... it took me 20 minute of going through the big links before I found them (and that was knowing that they are there, those who don't know them, wouldn't even really get down to that little textdown at the bottem.. Edit: sorry on the title - I started writing this before I found the link on the bottom of the page From the spoilers posted from the fiction seminar @ PaizoCon: "Reaper will also be releasing a special limited edition Varian Jeggare miniature at GenCon to commemorate the release of "Prince of Wolves."" Is this still on the schedule? I don't see it mentioned elsewhere on either the paizo site or the reaper one.... I need to know if I'm giving people money to pick one up. If it is happening will it be at the paizo booth or the reaper one? Using Doug Doug's list of maps, I have made a Paizo List of the flip mats and map packs used thus far. Hope the link works correctly. Feel Free to email me at e(dash)gendron(at)charter(dot)net for anything I missed or to update it with the most recent scenarios. Where would I put them? Thinking of adding them to a wandering monster table or specific encounter. They are too fun, considering that none of my players are really into the setting yet (I'm slowly converting them from 3.5) maybe some pugwampi will infest the palace sewers following Gnoll assassins or something? Any other thoughts? just and FYI - the ink for the dark brown on the top outside of my Mother of Flies looks like it was folded before it was dried completly... some of the pages were slightly stuck together in that corner.I separated them all without anything ripping, so no harm done, just wanted to give you guys a heads up, in case other copies are stuck worse than mine. -Cpt_kirstov PS Cos - sorry I haven't been helping much on these boards lately, my real work has been busy :) Are there any Documentaries that you use for inspiration on tools/characters/ fighting styles/responses to combat situations in your campaigns? This week I've watched:
and the full series of
* The Peasant
I found both to be interesting and informative. a good background noise to have on a 'working from home' day.(and all of the above are on Netflix instant queue and X-box instant play queues). I was just wondering if there were any others I should be looking at? I'm scheduled to run Devil you know part 3 for 2 groups on Sat, I just wanted to make sure this months senarios are going to come out as scheduled tomorrow. Since I know it's normally done on the last Wed (which would be today), I wanted to make sure that I didn't have to look for another scenario that none of the 13 or so players have played yet. Thanks Josh et all ok... I'm thinking of doing a listing for minis in PFS play list, now that we have the list feature, but I have a couple questions on how people would like this to work. Would people like one list with just the names of things, or a separate list for each scenario? If the first, do you want to have the scenario title listed in the comments of the list, or just the name of the character/creature? Should it be concentrated on minis under $10 from paizo? under 10 ebay prices? no price restriction? If I use reaper or other non-painted minis, should i also try to provide a prepainted mini for that person/creature? I hope to start the list(s) over the weekend. Note that Reaper's boneyard allows you to buy each individual goblin if you can't afford the entire pack Yesterday I called right before my CC was auto-activated today and asked about my sidecart that was stuck. Sara Marie told me to email customer service when I got home and activated the new card. I did but the first two times it came back (I think I made a typo, retyped the address and it seemed to work) Just wanted to make sure the email got through Hi Sara Marie just wanted to say welcome to the customer service team! You'll see me and some of the other regular posters trying to help triage some of the 'regular' issues before you guys get to them (or get in) so I just wanted to introduce myself! -Earl
PS if I missed a welcome thread somewhere feel free to move/delete NaNoWriMo , For those that don't know, is National Novel Writing month. Where in month of November people try to write 50,000 words (the equivalent of a 175 page novel). It has a page to keep track, and weekly 'pep talk' emails. The Pathfinder Wiki is a wiki on the world of Golarion, written like an in-world encyclopedia (so no crunch, all fluff) Which is currently working on getting pages written for every single noun in the campaign setting. As my NaNoWriMo writing, I am going to keep a copy of my new articles and sections from the wiki in a separate file after finishing them on the wiki, and submit them for my Nano word count. I challenge everyone to join my quest and sign up. Lets get 50,000 words a piece into the wiki in November! The past 2 years I have tried to write a novel, and didn't have the time, now that I have time already invested into the wiki, I hope to actually get 50,000 words written out. Let's see if anyone can get to 50,000 words before me in Nov. Even if you don't know how to do the wiki-links, we have a good community over there that can help you. Feel free to browse the Tutorial and the Help help section. Before November first to get a feel for wiki editing. Even if you put just the plain text in the pages, someone else can come behind you and clean up links (but please put reference book and page numbers to make it easier for these people to clean articles up) Who will race with me? I was looking on Amazon this morning, and on top of the 5 star review of the core book, it ranks: Amazon.com Sales Rank: #460 in Books (See Bestsellers in Books) Popular in these categories: (What's this?)
Congrats guys! right now I have 4 players playing 5 characters we are using beta rules until about Oct and then switching to final rules, I am using the critical hit an fumble decks. Current party is: Wizard
They are level 3 and almost done edge of anarchy... I'm not against running people throughwho know whats happening as long as you try to keep OOC knowedge and IC knowledge to yourselves. you can either reply here or email me at e(dash)gendron(at)charter(dot)net I'm looking for up to 3 players, 4 if someone wants to take over the cleric. random question, are all of the monsters in the Bestiary going to defiantly show up in Golarion at some point or another, or are there some that may just not fit any specific area of the world? just checking that they were needed before we started adding all these new entries to the wiki was reading This article today and my first thought was "color guard members should be proficient in clubs/maces/and possibly polearms" which got me thinking to other professions and their tools. Many exotic weapons were originally farmer's tools. I know it would cause issues with balance but should professions grant proficiency with the tools of their trades? I know there was a lengthy discussion about her when the osiron companion came out, so I figured people might like This to read In the 'why havn't GMs reported your scenarios' thread, the most repeated thing is that they don't know all of the player's PFS #. Would it be able to add something to Gary's list? What is it: The ability to add players to a PFS event without knowing their PFS number. How would it work: If you do not know a player's PFS number. but do know either their Email or Paizo account, you can add that. This will put a link in the PFS section of the user's page, asking them if they really played this scenario. If they have the 'paizo may email me about pathfinder products' box checked off, then they also get an email with said link. If the user confirms that they played, their pathfinder society number is automatically connected. what do you all think? See this link How much damage do you think that bite would be in game? Would he need new stats or is it just advancing a (dire?) alligator a few sizes? This was brought up in the chatroom while the page was down today, so I thought I would voice it. I know some people don't like the map packs because there's nothing new or they aren't 1" squares, and this wouldn't change that, but it would help save the maps and othe things from getting damaged... would it be possible to make the 'cover' of the map packs be a folder? this way they wouldn't seem as loose, and the DM could keep maps/handouts thegether without damages, separating them by AP.. Page 43: Statue Street.. is it always barricaded, or are visitors allowed onto the street for closer looks at the statues when the Charge of the Gorgon isn't happening? Are the statues moved to the side to prevent them from breaking next year? What would the punishment be for freeing a prisoner turned to stone by the Gorgon? page 34: are the Thumpers supposed to be a way to use Mordrons in Golorian? Because they sound awefully similar There are various magic institutions in this book, where do the two in guide to Korvosa stack up to those presented here?
