Who wants to play a cake walk? Some folks maybe, but not me.

That said, I don't think that *every* encounter needs to be really difficult. It is fun to blow through an encounter once in a while, while having other encounters be down to the wire.

I've been told combat isn't fun if I don't knock at least one PC into negatives..

The paper minis are not done by paizo, its done by artists in their free time, and then put together/uploaded by a different company.

also with the wishlist and list features, you can create a list of the miniatures needed, it's not that hard

Is this PA boost still on the table?

This PC started in Season 0, only played Season 0, to level 2, and was put to one side for another PC beginning Season 1.

I've never converted him, but now my replacement PC has overtaken him, I thought it would be a good idea to do so, so I have a level 2 spare, in case I'm ever asked to complete a Tier 1-2 table.

I'm not complaining if I missed the chance; I just want to know, if he is eligible for a one-time PA boost, how does one go about arranging that, and I want to be sure I've got the audit trail, to be able to prove he's been upgraded legally.

See This FAQ entry on how to convert them

Sheila Heidmarch. The layout of the Heidmarch estate/Pathfinder Lodge in Magnimar (with Pathfinder husband Sir Canayven Heidmarch) is presented in detail on pages 37-39 of Seeker of Secrets. Many Pathfinders have met her before embarking on the Throaty Mermaid.

A map with the locations of the various Pathfinder Lodges throughout the Inner Sea region is located on the inside front cover of the same book. Some of the Venture Captain names are throughout pages 29-33, but neither this book nor the newer Pathfinder Society Field Guide presents an easy table matching Venture Captains to their various lodges. Remember, the traits in the player's guide if you are using it (its a free download) affect how the PCs know Lamm - which helps when they meet him

Spoiler:
Its easier to insult 4 individuals differently when they know you for different reasons. That's where the fortune Teller comes in to get them to meet each other. I've run this twice, and both times Lamm was captured and brought to Kroft - and it was she who recognized the broach. One of them already distrusts the queen, so they used the broach as a way to get into the castle to try to scout around. Make sure to play up the mobs and mayhem and the people calling the queen names... depending on your players they may go to join the uprising and scout the castle for later, or go to help the queen cull the unwilling subjects

Because the Core Rulebook says that there are situations where this is the case. It's not somethign new for the PFS scenarios, its IN THE CORE RULES as quoted earlier in this thread. If you don't like that, then you should be refuting it on the rules forum, not the PFS forum.

1. Allow every registered PFS member the ability to have (1) Non-core racial character. The player can have one and only one alternate race PC unless that character is retired or killed.

The way to implement this is to give the race boon a (chronicle code) so that it appears on the list of reporting mods, when that character plays his/her first mod the GM will report the played mod and the Alternate race mod, which in turn locks the possiblity of the race mod from being reported again while that character is still active.

2. Continue Chronicle boons for completed story arcs. This rewards consistency and a little devotion with a minor boon.

3. Defintely reward GM's who earn GM stars with minor boons or boons that can be turned in for something else (swag), Gm's normally have prep time in addition to the 4-5 hrs that they DM a chronicle so a reward other than GM credit will definitely be appreciated

Sorry, can't get on board with this. If the player dies in a scenario that doesn't get reported, then they can't start a new non core, while someone who dies in a scenario with a responsible GM can? Nope, sorry, as much as I trust people, I also know how it can take 6 months for big cons to be reported (not relating this to the responsible comment above).

For every case the retailer preorders before oct 1, they have the option to order one black dragon. They don't *have* to sell it to the persom buying the case, so be careful to mention you want it when you order. The Dragon doesn't have a set price, so every location would be different until the aftermarket settles down

It really depends on your area. around here, I know of 15 home tables of PFS a month vs 2 game store tables a month. and I've called every game/comic/hobby store within a 40+ mile radius of my house. They either don't have a player base, or the ones that do don't have more than a 3 hour period open in their play area in between card game tournaments during the weekend, and close by 7 on weekdays.

I know of two sources for non-random pre-painted minis:

1. Individual DDM minis available here and from many other retailers.

2. The 40 or so that Reaper has produced.

Also Wizkids is redoing mageknight, and also has a license for LotR heroclix, so you can keep an eye on those properties to see their prices as well (but they will also be rendom)

This is a great informative post however it forgot one aspect of miniature retailing. The CUSTOMER. If your goal is to sell miniatures to brick and mortar retailers so they can unhappily stare at them on their less packed shelves then this line of reasoning makes sense. However every game shop I have ever been to enough to actually get to know the Vendor, that Vendor has frustratedly complained of how RPG random pack miniatures sit on the shelves, sometimes for years, and how they wish they had never put them there but instead had only sold Warhammer ones.

WE DON'T LIKE RANDOM MINIATURES

We buy them because we need them for our games, but we buy them pissed off at you guys.

Adding my store to the 'speak for yourself' crowd. Once wizards put visible minis in their packs we had to buy 5 times as much packs for the same number of sales - no one wanted certain visible, causing us to still have some packs, but everyone would complain if you didn't have the pack with the visible dragon/beholder, which you could only get from the distributors if you bought a case, or got really lucky ordering less than a case.. This means that the retailer had to buy more, and in turn has more sitting on their shelves now of packs that people only will buy at discount. Random minis means for the same price you are just as likely to get that dragon/beholder as the next person, they won't get it just because they were lucky enough to be there when the store opened the case.

They are - Erik says in the same interveiw that he thinks you'll get 1 set of goblins, the other set of goblins, or the gnome/rat as your two smalls (IE when you get a regular pack which contains two smalls it will always be one of those 3 combination).

Please make the set information avialiable to people, BEFORE the October first deadline so we can know what we are ordering, or change the deadline so that we can make informed choices once that information is out.

I doubt you're going to get this. The reason for the Black dragon promotion in the first place is to make people preorder cases early, before the sculpts are fully completed or paint masters completed. This allows Wizkids to know the size of the print run they need, and work on fulfilling it. You MIGHT see a list of the minis in the set prior to 10/1. But I wouldn't hold my breath (We already know over 1/4 of them - which is more than most wizkids releases before access to the promo is finished).

It's a fantastic idea, and I have no problem with a new tick-box on the Paizo site (deselected by default) that when selected allows someone who knows my PFS id to scrape a list of which sessions I've played with which characters. Anything that allows our esteemed VC to spend more time running.

If we ever did something like this, it would almost certainly be an opt-in situation. But ther eare currently no plans to make players' session histories public.

I do think that GMs should be able to see who was reported as playing @ the table. We could until the last code rewrite, and today I got a question that a session that I had DMed, but wasn't the person to enter into the system isn't showing on one player's page. Unfortunatly, I have no way to confirm that or report who it IS showing for incorrectly, as I don't have access to see who it is reported on.

I had a opportunity to use a boon that I had earned in a previous scenario this past week, but forgot I had it. I know there are some bette web designers than me out there - is it possible to create a webpage that you can check off the boons you have/allowing you to output your boons to a single page - maybe the names next to checkboxes and a submit button, and it loads a page with the full text of the boon, thus not telling users what module they are from, so that people can't metagame for them?
