"That does sound reasonable. Ignacious with one group, myself with the other. Zo with one, Rhade with the other. And finally Gregori with one group and Father Meghdad with the other. That seems to be a fairly rounded party in each."
She thinks for a second. "How about Gregori, Myself and Zo in one Group. Rhade, Ignacious and The Father in the other?"
Cordelia takes the Potions from Zo and examines them thoroughly.
IC is down yet again, so Honour System: Spellcraft Check. 1d20+6 (14+6)=20
She thinks she knows what they are thanks to her connection to Sarenrae, but can't be 100%.
Cordelia stops her hand as it begins reaching for the place settings. "Thank You Zo. That would not have been a pleasant experience I am sure. If there is nothing else of interest in here, then I suggest we move on before her," she points towards the corpse, "friend returns, possibly with reinforcements."
"Does she have anything of interest on her perchance before we go?"
Cordelia, deciding that the Harpies need to be attacked in close quarters to prevent them from attacking the helpless party members, moves around the table and swings her scimitar ineffectually at the far Harpy. Moves to -AF 7
Attack Harpy with Masterwork Scimitar. (1d20+2=10)
Cordelia spys the Harpy and calls back to Gregori, "not unless I can maybe disrupt it's concentration."
She conjures a tiny ball of flame into her palm and hurls it towards the Harpy, but flies over its shoulder.
Lesser Orb of Fire (Ranged Touch Attack) on Harpy. (1d20+3=9) WTF, seriously. I have rolled 4 or five dice today so far and all ave been below 10 (except for one which was 13)... Could IC want me to fail anymore rolls at all, becuse it's doing a pretty good job at it so far.
"My vote is for clearing out this level before we head down. I don't like the idea of anything potentially sneaking up behind us from up here and I think we need t a t least establish a clear zone in case we need to rest somewhere. Up here seems a better idea than down there somewhere."
"I'm afraid my Heavenly Fire would do no good against the bed... unless of course it were an evil bed." She grins at Rhade. "Of course I do have a plain old everyday spell that would do the trick quite nicely I would think."
She turns to the others. "What do you all think: Leave it, Burn it or Lay on it?"
Rhade wrote: Looking across at Lady Crichton he frowns.
"Something wrong Lady Crichton?" he asks.
Cordelia's brow furrows as she stares at the bed, surrounded in a golden glow.
"Not wrong exactly, but that bed is detecting as being quite magical. I wonder what need someone would have for a bed fueled by Transmutation Magic?
She walks over to examine it a little more closely.
Cast Identify on the Bed. (1d20+16=22) Oh for the love of... WTF have I ever done to IC!!!!!!!!!!!
Zo wrote: "Father, Cordelia, Iggie ... any magical aura to it?" Cordelia comes over at Zo's call and examines the bracelet for the telltale golden glow that tells her of any sign of magic. She attempts to determine it's value as she does so.
Cast detect magic
Appraise Check. (1d20+6=16)
Rhade wrote: Rhade sighs as the wound largely heals.
"Thank you Lady Crichton," he thanks her.
She smiles at him warmly. "It is my pleasure. Now please try not to get yourself hurt again, at least until tomorrow when Sarenrae's blessing can be once more bestowed upon you."
She returns to her work of scanning the room for magical emanations.
Rhade wrote: "Owch!" Rhade comments standing upright shifting the weight off of his injured leg. Cordelia looks over at Rhade and her gaze softens. "Here let me look at that," she says and walks over to place her hand on his leg.
The Heavenly Fire of Sarenrae courses through her palm and into his wound, causing it to close over and allowing him to stand a little less stiffly.
Heavenly Fire to Heal Rhade. (1d6+1=7) That's you done for the day Rhade. I can only do each person once a day and only if your Alignment is Good
Cordelia stands over the corpse and sends a bolt of Heavenly Fire coursing into it, not letting up until the creature is burned to ash. She walks over to the other one and repeats the process, only then stopping to acknowledge the rest of the party.
She gives them the smile of a job well done and heads into the next room to so what Zo has found.
"Anything under that bed," she asks Ignacious, waving him over towards it.
"So what could have made the Kobolds avoid this room," she asks the room, possibly to the party and possibly to herself. "The Zombies most probably," she concludes.
"Zo, Rhade. Can you search it just to be sure?" As she says this, she proceeds to utter a short Arcane phrase, scanning the room for the telltale golden glow that would signify that her spell had discovered something magical.
Rhade wrote: He will have pocketed the silver spoons if only so Ignacious doesn't have to add them to his pile of coins Cool, I'll take them off the Party Loot List. :)
Cordelia walks over to where Zo is working on the crate and runs her finger along the outer edge of the red gold angelic ankh holding the sash around her waist in place. A warm light, reminiscent of sunlight, springs forth from it to illuminate the crates and help Zo in her examination.
She then makes ready to unleash a bolt of heavenly fire... just in case.
Cordelia notices that Zo has found something and comes over to investigate. Seeing a hole in the wall, she raises her free hand, ready to blast Heavenly Fire onto anything that may emerge.
Once Zo is done, Cordelia proceeds to slice open the pillow with her Scimitar and feel around inside. When the others look at her in a funny way, she merely replies, " my Grandfather used to keep stuff in his pillows."
Zo wrote: "Should we follow their trail or examine the room on the other side of the entryway first?" "I vote we explore the other side first. I don't want anything creeping up on me from behind."
Cordelia takes the spoons off Father Meghhad and gives them a once over. Hmmm... silver. Rhade these may interest you, although trying to spoon a werewolf to death is not something I want to stick around and watch you attempt." She gives him a cheeky grin.
Appraise Check. (1d20+6=16)
Rhade wrote: "So is it silver?" Rhade asks. Cordelia finishes examining the hatpin. "No platinum. Fine craftsmanship though. Probably worth about 150 gold."
Rhade wrote: "So do we continue to search the rest of this section or move on?" he asks. "I think that's probably it for this part. Maybe we should move on after Zo is feeling up to it."
Now knowing that neither are magical, Cordelia picks up the pin after getting the all clear from Rhade. She turns it over in her hand and admires the craftsmanship.
Appraise Check. (1d20+6=20)
Cordelia watches as Father Meghdad tends to Zo's condition, then goes over to inspect the contents of the box with Rhade and Ignacious.
"Well there was nothing magical about the box but maybe what's inside is a different matter." She gestures at the hat.
Cast Detect Magic on the Hat & Pin.
Cordelia accompanies Zo intot he room to check out the box.
She slides her scimitar into it's sheathe and waves her hand over the box. Casts Detect Magic Stepping back, she lets Zo do the honours and stands at guard, preparing to cast a spell just in case.
DM BrOp - Kill Bargle! wrote: Will wait until 5PM CT for Cordelia. Cordelia will follow Zo around back, hoping to surround the creature and give her support in case she runs into trouble.
Sorry guys, work has been kickin' my arse this week ('specially the last couple of days). Just DMPC me if you don't hear from me before the end of the round, I don't mind.
Wrinkling her brow at the strange occurence, she calls out to the other. "Ummm... guys I think there's something fishy going on here. I've jst searched these boxes and I can't find what's making this glow. And it's fading."
Curious, Cordelia again casts Detect Magic, scanning for the glow.
Shrugging at the lack of response, Cordelia tries to get into the crates where she saw the magical glow emanating after her detection spell.
Cordelia looks indignant at being dismissed such. "Excuse me, but what difference does it make if Bargle is with us or not? Whatever it is you want I'm sure we can help..."
Cordelia can barely keep the sneer from her voice as she replies, "no, we are here to see him, can you point us in his direction?" She looks around the room. "Where are you?"
Cordelia takes a wary step back, raising her empty hand and drawing her Scimitar with the other. She says, "I am Cordelia Crichton. And who might you be?"
Knowledge (Arcana). (1d20+4=16)
Cordelia goes over to the crates and examines the aura for a moment, before it is dimmed by Zo's now illuminated coin.
She starts to pull on the crates to see if she can get to the glow.
Catching the glimpse of magic coming from the room, Cordelia makes her way in to find the source, glancing at the exit north, but trusting that Zo is watching it closely.
Find where the glow is coming from using her own Detect Magic and get to it.
Cordelia once again falls in next to Father Meghdad as they enter the gloomy castle.
Cordelia holds up her blazing hand and raises an eyebrow questioningly...
Ignacious Throckmorton III wrote: "Well I can't get anything out of them. Shall I conjure a beetle to eat them and be done with it?" The roll must have been for Diplomacy, because that last statement was your Intimidate Check. ;)
Cordelia sheathe her Scimitar and comes over to the Kobolds. She holds up her non-gauntleted hand and suddenly it is enveloped in the Heavenly Fire of Sarenrae.
"Ad of course I'd hate to have to bring the cleansing Fires of Sarenrae to bear on you. Just tell the nice man what he wants to know and everything will be alright."
Intimidate Check. (1d20+3=11)
How funny would it be if the Kobolds don't even speak Common and all they hear is "blah, blah, yap, jip, dop, carp, dool". LMAO
Father Meghdad wrote: Invisible Castle is not my friend tonight :( Invisible Castle hasn't been my friend for a couple of months now... :(
Before venturing inside the Castle, Cordelia asks, "is anyone in need of any healing? We should conserve Father Meghdad's Holy Power, but I have small amount of Sarenrae's Divine Fire I can use to Heal you with."
Except for Zo and Ignacious. Sorry guys, but you're Neutral...
Zo wrote: She surveys the kobold-strewn courtyard. "One kobold was the leader," she says thoughtfully. "It may have a key, a map, something that could be of use to us. Or are we in a hurry to get after the two that got away?" She looks round at the group inquiringly. "Well they're probably going to warn the rest of the castle about us, but stumbling in there blindly will probably get us attacked by traps and sneaky Kobolds, so I say we search these ones out here before proceeding cautiously inside."
She looks around the courtyard. "Rhade, you keep watch by the door while we search, then once we're done, you and Zo can lead us in."
She begins to seach the bodies with the others, using Detect Magic on each body as she goes.
Perception Check. (1d20+6=19)
Seeing most of the Kobolds lying on the ground dead or dying, Cordelia smiles and steps forward to meet the last pair, both her Scimiat hand and her free hand twirling before her, although both for different reasons.
Suddenly a bolt of divine fire shoots from her bare hand to strike the nearest Kobold in the chest.
Heavenly Fire Ranged Touch Attack. (1d20+3+1=20)
Heavenly Fire Damage. (1d6+1=5)
Move to -P6 and then Heavenly Fire the nearest Kobold (in -S8)
Seeing her companions take out the closest Kobolds, Cordelia moves her way along the wall towards more of the annoying creatures.
Double Move along the wall to -N4
Initiative. (1d20+2=19)
I'm assuming it has been longer than 3 minutes since the end of the fight with the Carrion Crawler, so both FM's Bless and my Shield will have worn off.
Cordelia intones a quick prayer to Saranrae, asking for strength in the coming battle. Everyone suddenly feels more confident as a warm glow spreads from her outstretched arms to suffuse the party with courage.
She then strides forward through the gap to take up a supporting position inside the courtyard.
Casts Bless on the party (sorry Ignacious, you're out of range) and then moves through the breach in the wall to end up in square N-2.
3 minutes of Bless remaining, giving a +1 Bonus to Attack Rolls and Saves vs. Fear.
Once Ignatious is finished with the coins, Cordelia collects her rope and places it back into her pack, watching Gregori verbally abuse the Gate and smiling to herself. "Woe to anyone who stands between him and Bargle," she thinks to herself.
Shouldering her pack, she accompanies Father Meghdad over to stand behind Gregori, motioning to Ignatious to put the coins away and follow. She resists glancing in the direction of Zo or Rhade in case it alerts anyone to their presence.
Appraise Check. (1d20+6=25) Of course IC wastes a high roll on something I would have succeeded on a 2 with!!!
Cordelia takes the Garnets and the key and leaves the coins for the moment. "I found these Garnets and this key," she says showing the others. "There are also a lot of silver and copper coins down there as well, but someone else is gonna have to go down and clean them up, they're everywhere." She starts to wind her sash back around her waist while she's talking, securing the clasp as she says, "should we collect them or go and investigate that noise?"
The thought of leaving all of that money down there makes the Merchant side of her cringe, but truth be told she's more interested in bringing Bargle to hell at this point.

Too late... you can call out down into the pit though if you like. :)
Staring down into the pit, Cordelia takes out her rope and hands one end to Ignatious. "Secure this would you, let's see what that thing's been munching on shall we."
She then begins to unwind the bright red sash from around her waist. She holds the clasp, a golden symbol of Sarenrae, in one hand and the end of the rope in the other and jumps off the edge of the pit, just as the gate booms shut. A rosy red light follows her to the bottom of the pit as she floats gently to rest on some old bones.
While the light lingers, she quickly takes stock of the contents of the pit, scooping up the bag of coins and making another quick check to see if anything else catches her attention. Which she'll grab if there is
Calling back up to Ignatious she says, "what in the Hells was that bang?" Giving a tug on the rope, she also says "have you secured that rope yet?" At that moment, Zo stcks her head over the edge of the pit.
Zo wrote: "Cordelia, you're pretty, but you don't need to be anywhere near pits or traps. Iggie ... you're not even pretty." Cordelia smiles back up at her. "It's OK, it's just bones and old gear. I'm coming back up now anyway." She grabs the rope and starts to haul herself back up the (now easy) ascent.
Once at the top, she c o c k s her head. "Is that laughter I hear? What is going on?"
DM BrOp - Kill Bargle! wrote: Its tentacles twitch momentarily and then go slack as well and the carri'on crawler ceases to move. (Damage: 2d4+2=6; Carrion Crawler is dying) Doh! What a waste of a Spell! Better do some exploring while it's still active...
DM BrOp - Kill Bargle! wrote: The group is about 50 ft. from the hole that the crawler was hiding in, about 65 ft. from the partially open front gates, and about 100 ft. from the hole in the western section of the wall I mentioned earlier. Seeing the creature shudder and lie still, Cordelia cautiously approaches the hole the thing crawled out of, both hands up and ready for action and looking around for anything else waiting to ambush them.
Perception Check. (1d20+6=18)

DM BrOp - Kill Bargle! wrote: Cordelia, you'll probably want to change your action for the following round, when you realize that your Heavenly Fire has absolutely no effect on the creature. I will post the following round as soon as you submit your modified actions. Ouch! That's either some hefty Fire Resistance, hefty DR or Spell Resistance that stupid thing's got goin' on there! :(
Round 2
Seeing her attack do nothing to the creature, Cordelia's fingers once again trace Arcane movements in the air. She smiles and moves directly towards the creature with her Scimitar poised and ready to strike.
Cast shield on herself, bringing her AC up to 17 (3 minutes duration). Moves to A10 to engage the Carrion Crawler.
Round 3
Cordelia swings with all of her might at the creature that would resist the Heavenly Fire of Sarenrae, striking a glancing blow against the creature's shell.
Attack Carrion Crawler with Masterwork Scimitar. (1d20+2=22)
Confirm Critical Hit. (1d20+2=5) There we go, back to form...
Damage. (1d6=1) And my usual winning form continues...
Forgot to add the +2 Flanking Bonus to the attack rolls, not that it makes a difference, so they should be 24 and 7 respectively.
