I tried to make one that didn't rely on strength, because I wanted to make his Confirmation a little different from what I think a normal front-liner's would have been.

Hm, I'm here just deeply contemplating my story atm :P

Deep contemplation = almost 3 days!? ;)

Wish I had been warned about this whole 'Confirmation' thing... :)

For a moment Corath is silent.

"My Confirmation was not nearly as exciting as Therin's. I was given the task of finding the Moonwing, a small bird with ivory-clored feathers. It is very small, very fast, and only lives in the deepest part of whatever forest it chooses. It is actually just a small white raven. Took me three months to find it's nest though, and another two to actually capture it. When I made it back and learned the Moonwing was to be some spoiled brat's pet, I released, saying that my task was only to show proof I had caught it. The foolish child actually said since I released his pet, he should get Prettykill, then tried to put a leash on her. I believe the local healers were able to reattach his finger, and rumor has it he is better behaved now."

"Thank you for your hospitality, it is greatly appreciated after our time on the ship."

Corath takes a seat, looking as out-of-place as he feels.

Druidic half-orc at the dinner table... Should be fun. >:)

Getting Prettykill to settle in the barn isn't as easy as one might think. She is very stubborn and seems determined to stay with Corath.

"You need to stay her, okay? I'll come back as soon as I can. Don't eat the other animals okay? Someone hurts you, scream and run."

While he knows she can't understand him, he hopes he gets the point across.

Handle Animal(Push to 'Stay'):23

I do not want to know what would have happened if I hadn't beat the DC:15 check to get her to 'Stay'...

Therin winks a bit towards Mozzel before he looks over towards the dinosaur. "It may not quite be a verbal communication, but it isn't always too hard to develop an understanding." He dips a hand into his pack and pulls out his last chunk of salted meat(got rid of my ration), tossing it over towards Prettykill so his hands can stay well clear. "Isn't that right, big girl?"

Prettykill snaps the meat up just before it hit's the ground. Corath claps good-naturedly Therin on the shoulder.

"Keep it up Therin, and I'll be raising a two-legged brach* instead of a rex!"

*Brach= Brachiosaurus.

"Oh, I'd like to learn to talk to animals, they must have such interesting stories to tell. Could you teach me to talk to pretty, Corath?"

For a moment, Corath doesn't respond. He is trying to sooth Prettykill, who did not like the ship ride over here.

"I think we might be able to get at least an understanding between her and you, as well as any others of thsi group who would like at least to learn the most basic form of communication. Magic is usually easier to use though."

Well spoken for a half-orc, isn't he? :D

The trip through the city does not go well for the pair. Prettykill has never seen so many people, and Corath finds that he doesn't particulary like cities. More than once he is forced to scare curious hands away from Prettykill, lest she become panicked and bite off the offending hand.

I'm starting to think i should have chosen a Domain instead..

;)

Okay, tricks have been redone.

Don't mean to intrude on DM grounds but your CMB Corath should be +4, CMB = BAB + Str Mod + Special Size Mod. Oh and CMD is a set number like AC so you don't need a +. :)

Thanks, I'm not thinking right today for some reason.

Well, yes, technically that's true, but since you're Medium, I skipped that bit. The end result is still the same, though.

Oops, sorry, my weekend group does it differently, so I didn't read it right. Sorry, I will also advise my weekend group on the matter...

Most everything looks good with your character - only one note, which is that your CMD should be 14, as far as I can tell (10 + Str mod + Dex mod, with no other modifiers).
That reminds me, though - Prettykill is perfectly welcome to start with a complete suite of trained abilities: all six tricks she can know from her Int 2, plus the bonus one. You've had her long enough.

Awesome, I was wondering if one of those could be a purpose(specifically the Hunting trick).

I looked at the combat section of the PRD and it said you CMD=10+Str mod+Dex mod+Special size modifier.

I'm usually online between 7am and 2:40pm weekdays. It is currently 12:23 for me, and I can usually post a few times Saturday mornings.

Hear, hear, good elf! Laws are the foundation of civilization. Without them, we would follow merely our base instincts, like animals!
Nay, like dinosaurs! HAHAHA.

*Grins*

I see nothing wrong with that.

My background is in my profile! I think it may be the longest one I have ever written...

Hm.. and elven wizard of the courts, and a half-orc druid with slight temper... This should be interesting...

Just what the group needed.
Think we've got the hunter/scout covered by now :)

Then we should have no problem getting food for everyone out in the wilds.

I feel sorry for our (animal)prey...

I have to admit I'm drawing a blank there. Out of curiosity, where is Corath from? Dinosaurs aren't really native to Varisia. Could he be a Mwangi transplant?

That'll work fine.

Hey everyone!

A few things.

1) I went with a T-rex instead of an ankylosaurus. 5 gold to whoever can tell where I got her name from.

2) I selected the Rich Parents trait(if a background is needed, he's adopted and part of a nodamic merchant tribe. I'll go into detail later, I'll have to be creative to explain the dragonhide...)

3) I am a hunter. Up close, club in your face, spear in your back hunter. I can also be a scout(though not the best).

4) I am very protective of Prettykill. Woe to those who would wish her harm!!!

I can't wait to see the face on the townspeople when I walk into town with a young tyrannosaur!
