Bacground/Description:
Conroe Kerens Uvalde is a tall rangy man with short cropped silver and white hair. Like many who have suffered through the wars, he looks older than his 30 years. His family has been proud Texans for many generations and the streak of independence is strong in him. He can be as mean as a sidewinder and his temper can flare up like a brush fire, but he is also a talented musician and can play guitar and piano with great skill.
A natural marksman, Conroe’s grandfather gave him the nickname ‘Pilate’ in a joking reference to Pontius Pilate. “Give Pilate there a rifle an’ a target and that boy’ll nail it in his cross.”
