Profile
About ColvareColvare Appearance Colvare is a tall man, 6'4" and completely bald. With a lithe, athletic figure. His most outstanding feature is a sting of tattoos, appearing from his sleeves to cover the back of his hands, and from the nape of his neck to cover most of the back of his head. Colvare doesn't know what these tattoos mean, only that his mother insisted that they be done when he came of age. Colvare is currently wearing a stained travel cloak, with the hood raised. Stats

Background
Spoiler:
As a Merchant's son, Colvare was exempt from fighting in the Last War in order to help his father with the business, which had moved to supplying the War Effort. Colvare's older brothers both fought in the war, and have not been heard from in in over 5 years. Colvare's father was killed mere weeks before the end of the war when the siege he was tasked with supplying, was relived by force. Left with the business, in ruins with no war to supply, Colvare scrapped a living, and looked after his mother. That was until around 6 months ago, when the farm was raided, and Colvare and his mother attacked. This is when the sorcerous spark manifested in Colvare, as he saw his mother run through, he threw a ball of force at the attacker, killing him instantly, and causing the other brigands to flee. Colvare quietly buried his mother, and left the destruction at their village house, and his home in Thaliost and began wandering. Over time Colvare has refined the sorcerer's talent and now casts a handful of spells to command, giving him a role as a petty sorcerer for hire. Unfortunately the mental block instilled by his first use of magic has meant that, past the odd trick, his spells are almost solely destructive, and fire-based. Colvare can often be seen staring into the flames of a camp fire, musing his fate, and hoping someday to find the killers of his mother, as slim as that chance may be.

Interesting Stuff
Spoiler:
It is a given that Xendrik is dotted with Giant Age ruins. The Korono river is the main route from Stormreach into the interior. The jungle teems with life, including hostile giants and drow. Stormreach in general shows extreme religious tolerance – many gods that would be beyond the pale in civilised society, such as the Dark Six, are openly worshipped here. One of the largest-known temples to the Devourer outside sahuagin territory is at Stormreach, on an island just off shore called Shargon’ Talon. |
