"Let us get a move on, Vendis may not be far. We can split this up back in town" Cog tells the group.

Cog will follow Katsuye up the stairs and encourage the group to follow.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Cog will search the corpses around the room and divy the loot between the group as we see fit.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Cog will try to stabilize Aurr and then use his own surges to fully heal.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Cog will want his usual spot middle to back; and will assist in the dragging of the supple one.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

I am good with going that way. I would like to get some answers out of Vendis but we should also be working our way back out. I think both can be accomplished by heading that way.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

If Vendis is trying to be tricksy, then he may have said he came that way and that it was heavily trapped so we would avoid going that way. Maybe that is the way he is taking (East). Or perhaps he was telling the truth, the SW hall has apparently been unused and maybe that is the way to check. If we just want to get out as fast as we can, we could go back the way Thorren came in, if the traps have already been set off, or if they know where the triggers are already (West).

Thorren, what are your impressions of backtracking the way you came? Did your group identify a way to avoid them or is it too dangerous to try and use going back?

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Cog will spend some time looking through Martush's journal and the other Spell Book in tandem with a Perception Check to see if we can descern which way Vendis' (not Kartus hehe) group went. Perhaps there will be a clue in one or both, or something that relates.

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

I think we should go as well, get our affairs squared aways and then return when we are prepared to handle getting through this door. Perhaps we can follow Kartus' trail and find out what he is up to in the process.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Arcana Check on the door

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Intelligence Check

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 +1 = 5

ouch, not so much.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Arcana Check on the Ritual Book
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Bam! Can I rewrite the whole thing from memory? hehe.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

C'mon, just 10 more minute Ma....

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Ahhh, I was reading it that the Coat and Armor were 2 different pieces. Being that I'm squishy I could use the armor and the swarm bonus is an added bonus. I will update accordingly.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

I was thinking, shocking I know, that although I would enjoy the rat killer's coat, that perhaps it would be better suited for a melee person. I also wasn't sure if I can wear that coat as well as the Cloak and Armor. If I can wear it all together and no one else wants it, then fir-shizzle, however if that's not the case I will opt for the armor and cloak and let the coat go to a meat shield or into the community liquidation loot. I will wait on an answer before finalizing the upgrades.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Does our group still need to go back and retrieve the loot from the last fight or is everything already calculated into the loot? If not, Cog will organize a few members of the group to go back for it. If we have everything then I will go ahead and update my character with the items Kat listed and will be ready to continue.

Now that the camp is ready and everything is dispersed, I am taking some sleep. Wake me up if I'm needed for watch.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

I agree to those options. We can leave the ritual items bundled, there is nothing I can use in combat so we can leave it bundled until we get back to town where Aurr and I can study the rituals properly. Anything he wants right away he is welcome to.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Cog will assist the group with the looting and then assist with setting up the campsite. I have already leveled him up so he should be set to go.

It's good to see you all still standing, that fight seemed like it lasted for months!

*chuckles*

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Been a long time, just wanted to make sure everything was okay with everyone. Would be great to game again.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Have you heard from Aurr and Atreos lately, they haven't posted for a month and a half? Hope they're ok and just busy.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

I'm going to assume that the lack of response from Rive, Atreos and Aurr means they are conceding their share of the loot and Kat and I should just split it 50/50!

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Cog has low AC and wears leather so one of the +1 leather would be awesome for him. He can use a split of the residuum and is a ritual caster so he would be interested in the books or access to copy rituals from them. Those would be my top choices.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

perception checks:

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

room

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

looting

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

It's an encounter power; I will add that to the description.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Cog searches his memory of the names he overheard during the battle.

History on names

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

After assisting in the healing, Cog will help Katsuye loot the corpses and assess the situation and room.

History on the chamber and doors

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Cog is leveled up if you want to check it out Sean. I am pretty sure everything has been updated properly on my sheet as well as on the site. Let me know if you have any questions or think I missed anything.

Male Halfling Warlock / 2

Cog will not go wandering off into the dungeon alone, but will basically assist on looting, healing, etc. wherever the group goes.

Scarab Sages

Welcome, feel free to dot in. Introduction post will go up once I have the scenario

Scarab Sages

Hi.

Let's quickly finish the game so we are ready for Outpost III.

Scarab Sages

Hi. Campaign title says it all.

I thought I'd have 3-5 more days to finish..but you know what they say about assumptions.....

Scarab Sages

Hi,

Let's quickly wrap up the game so we are done for Outpost III

Scarab Sages

Welcome,

If the link on the sign-in sheet for Outpost III told you to go here; you've come to the right location.

Since this has the starship tag it might be useful if you figure out which role(s) you want your characters to fill during space combat.
You get an assigned ship so you don't have to/can't pick between the Drake of the Pegasus
and
No boon slots, except for personal boons, are available for this scenario (so also no bringing another starship option if you happen to have a boon for it)

Scarab Sages

You are waiting along with some other Starfinder Society members in a small office somewhere in the Lorespire complex looking at a screen with a small turning circle indicating that it's loading a message for you.

By the speed of the turning circle you assume it's going to be a while and you can't help but glance around the room. Other then the bare walls the floor and the screen there's not much to look at and your eyes keep wandering to the other agents in the room.

Feel free to introduce yourselves in game while we wait for the Gameday to kick off

Scarab Sages

Hi, Welcome all.

If this is where the spreadsheet from Outpost III told you to go you came to the correct location.

Scarab Sages

Hi,welcome. Please dot in so that the game shows up in your games.

Since this is part of Outpost III we'll start the game when we get the go ahead from higher up

Scarab Sages

Welcome.

First some general information about the quests;

It's for level 1 characters only

A player who plays through one or more of the quests receives a Chronicle sheet for Into the Unknown, noting which specific quests he played. He can later play the rest of the quests in the series, earning greater rewards (see the Variable Rewards boon on the Chronicle sheet at the end of this series). If the player created his own 1st-level character, he applies the Chronicle sheet to that character. If he instead used one of the 1st-level Starfinder Society regenerated characters, he can apply the Chronicle sheet to a 1st-level Starfinder Society character. If that character gains XP from another Chronicle sheet, he can no longer earn additional rewards for that character for playing the other Into the Unknown quests.
Into the Unknown can be replayed for credit, but the credit must be applied to a different 1st-level character each time.

No boon slots are available for Into the Unknown (I still think race boons are allowed, but the scenario itself doesn't mention it) - you can still earn fame/influence for a faction of your choosing though.

I'm running this so people have a chance to try the new options from the Characters Operation Manual (but you don't have to use anything from there if you don't want to) and since this features 2 space ship combats I thought it would also be a good way to see how the new spaceship roles (could) effect space combat in SFS

Also please fill in slide 4. It's a good check to see if I gave everyone access to the slides and you'll be able to see and edit the maps later.

Scarab Sages

You received a hasty summons to the Lorespire complex on Absolom station from Venture-Captain Arvin. As you get nearer to your destination - a meeting room somewhere in the back of the complex - you notice more and more of your fellow Starfinders joining you.

As you arrive you find the door to the meeting room closed, so you wait outside until you are summoned inside for the briefing on your next assignment and get to know your - what you can only assume will be your - party members for the mission a bit.

Welcome, feel free to introduce yourselves in character

Welcome to Fugitive on the Red Planet

Theft cannot be tolerated, especially when the culprit is a former Starfinder! The PCs travel to the red world of Akiton, hot on the heels of a deserting Starfinder who stole a magical relic from the vaults of the Lorespire Complex. Things get complicated when they discover what should be a dreary town in Akiton's wastelands is now positively jubilant. Could this revelry, not to mention the re-opening of town's formerly defunct mining operations, be related to the wayward Starfinder?

At 10th level, you gain another daily use of this ability, and the radius of the effect increases to 20 feet. Additionally, you can raise or lower the gravity, radiation, wind, or cold or heat dangers in the area by one step (for instance, from very hot conditions to normal temperature, from medium radiation to severe radiation, or from extreme gravity to high gravity; see Environmental Rules on pages 400–404 of the Core Rulebook for details).

At 19th level, you gain another daily use of this ability. Additionally, you can raise or lower the gravity, radiation, wind, and cold or heat dangers in the area by one step each.

Unless I'm reading this wrong both the 10th and 19th level version give you the same thing? Should the level 10 not have the ability..or does the lvl 19 give you another step so change it up to 2 steps?

Also I'd like to add that I like the overall idea of this power. Both flavor and game mechanics wise.

Starfinder Society: Quest Pack #1:Into the Unknown
Short Description:
The Starfinder Society needs a team to investigate a distress beacon. Explore the future of science fantasy with five quests featuring urban brawls, frontier gunfights, starship combat, and more!

Long Description:
A series of six Starfinder Quests designed for 1st-level characters. When a mysterious visitor comes to Absalom Station selling items belonging to a lost Starfinder, the Starfinder Society takes note. The PCs are dispatched to discover out how the recent arrival found these items, leading them on a series of quests beyond the Pact Worlds and into the stars. “Into the Unknown” includes five, 1-hour adventures that take the PCs from exploring Absalom Station, to partaking in starship combat, to exploring an alien world. The fifth adventure in the series provides a stunning conclusion that takes the PC’s previous accomplishments into account for a climactic final showdown against an enemy starship.

For those new to pbp (or at least new to pbp with me as GM)

I will generally post once a day (more if I have time) if you haven't posted in roughly a 24 hour period I will skip your turn/NPC you in so we keep the pace of the game going.

I will roll initiative for everyone (and sometimes some other dice rolls on a case by case basis, like perception to determine surprise)

Since it is possible for you to delay until some other player has done something I'm fine with you taking turns in the order in which you post. If you don't want to do something until something else happens mention in in your post and we'll fit it in when it happens. If you ready an attack (or expect an attack of opportunity to happen, please roll your own dice for to hit and damage already..they might get used, but if it does come up we don't have to wait for you to respond..or I don't have to roll for it..which means you can't blame me when you miss ;)

For example a turn might go something like this

init
Player A, B
enemy 1
Player c
enemy 2

Damage enemy 1; X, blinded

Bold is up
Player A wants to have flanking, so he delays
A will move next to enemy 1 as soon as he flanking and stick his dagger into 1's back [dice=To hit 1] [dice=damage vs 1]
Player B will do something (like cast a spell)
Enemy 1 will do something
Player C will then move up to an enemy and attack it..after which Player A's turn triggers
I'll take enemy's 2 turn

If something messes up the flow (like enemy 1 knocking player A down) we'll just have to flexible and adjust..I'll try to use my best guess if you haven't altered your own action by the time I post again.

I'll use googledoc maps for combat, you can move your own character around, but please be careful to not move the map itself since it will mess stuff up.

I will sometimes use spoiler blocks with a listed skill and DC, if you make the DC you are free to look at the spoiler and act on the information provided.
This will most of the time include (but not be limited to): (Monster) knowledge checks [If I didn't provide one, you can still roll for knowledge checks..I might just forgot about it or only had time for a quick update]
Some hidden stuff needing perception checks to be found, you can still search for stuff when you feel like it it, but for example looting a room after combat it helps speed things up.

Scarab Sages

The story of the goblin heroes Reta, Poog, Mogmurch, and Chuffy continues!

Scarab Sages

Hi all,

This will be part of the Play by Post Game day V (For more information click here and therefor won't start till the 27th of August.

This will be played as CORE

This is meant for 4 pre-gen Characters of lvl 4 and credit can be assigned to a PFS legal character of lvl 3, 4 or 5 (or to a newly created lvl 1 character with reduced gp rewards)

Pregen goblins can be found Here

I'll take the first 4 people with legal PFS numbers who can work out which of the pregens they as a group will play.

There is a slight benefit to pick the same character you've played either We Be Goblins and/or We Be Goblins Too with and you will most likely enjoy the story more if you've played either/both of them and know the pregen goblins and what they've been up to already, but this is not required.

Conditions and Death:

In Pathfinder Society, a player who plays a pregenerated
character that dies must still resolve the death and
recovery when applying the Chronicle sheet. This is also
the case for We Be Goblins Free!; however, part of the fun of
an all-goblin module is the opportunity to perform zany
feats, even if they lead to the goblin’s death. To reflect
the spirit of the module, at the end of the adventure, any
dead pregenerated goblin characters may recover from
death completely for only 5 Prestige Points; this includes
both the cost of raise dead and the cost of removing the
permanent negative levels and any other conditions

Expected posting rate will be once a day (more is better, but I most likely won't make more then 1 or 2 posts myself)
