Am I the only one waiting for those batlle contest for leadership?

In Tavernhold, first they have to drink. I respect that. I'm wondering if they are going to be forced to take a vote on it? Then even if they get a majority to agree to drink, then they will have to vote on what to drink. Even if there is a decision on that, there will be a three day delay. During the three day delay an amendment will be added, and a committee will have to be enpaneled to address the amendment. The committee will spend the next few days not just discussing the amendment, but the original decision. After about 10 days, the original decision that was approved by the majority will be approved.

Enjoy that democracy!

To paraphrase from the Kushiel's Dart series, "Drink as thou wilt."

We don't need to have a committee vote on what we're drinking because we're expected to have already been drinking.

Pathfinder Online Land Rush is here.

Fellow Texans, the time is here to join a clan close to your physical home. If you like to know the people you are playing with and live in the Austin area I have the Chartered Company for you.

Just being nitpicky here, but if you're going to advertise to all Texans, you might leave off the Austin metro bit. Conversely, you should not advertise to all Texans if you're focusing on the Austin metro. Many of us do not live anywhere near (more than 500 miles away in my case) the Austin area. If I weren't already in a differeng guild, I'd be interested in a Texan crew. If you're looking for local players, however, many of us don't qualify.

I can neither confirm nor deny these accusations.

I love how honestly dishonest you are.

Chaotic Good, man. I may be a liar and a thief, but at least I'm an honest one.

I actually don't have a preference. I voted for both in the guild poll.

Edit: I lied. Decided Tavernhold is better.

I really don't get the appeal of beer, it smells disgusting. My Brother-in-Law did some of his own homebrew for a while at my mum's house, yuck.

You're just drinking the wrong beer then :P

Joking aside, beer is not necessarily for everyone. That's why the gods have gifted us with myriad other fermented beverages. Surely you can find something you like amongst the varieties of mead, cider, wine, and liquor (plus some other major booze types that I'm probably forgetting).

Lots of apples where you are? Or you're just thirsty? In either case, sorry man, the Wife and I just bought a house and can't move yet ;)

I love cider and have made many batches. Unfortunately, it's really hard to make a good cider in many parts of the US (especially mine). Dessert (grocery store) apples and most store bought juices use cultivars that are very sweet and (sometimes) very acidic, but almost totally lacking in tannins to balance the sugar/acid. As a result, if you don't live near an orchard, it's hard to source good apples for cider.

I'm experimenting with graff (malted cider) that adds tannins from the malt and some unfermentable sugars that make for an interesting beverage. It's a beer drinker's cider.

And that's probably more than anyone wanted to know about homebrew scale cidery.

I'll brew up a batch of something for the guild. Not sure how to get it to everyone, but we will have the best beer.

Indeed. Everything of mine that's currently fermenting or aging is already earmarked for other purposes. I'll have to see about setting aside a portion of my next batch. Any suggestions on style that's not an IPA?

If your account is transferred to Goblinworks, you can join Golden Flask by applying Here

I have already applied and been accepted into this merry band.

I just wanted to make doubly sure that no other action is required on my part.

Concerning the land rush, do I need to DO anything to vote or whatnot? I'm late to this party and it's not entirely clear what I should be doing. There's some sort of poll up top, but The Golden Flask doesn't appear to be on it. Is there some sort of action required on my part? Or does membership automatically count me? I can't seem to find explicit instructions anywhere.

Goblin Squad Member

I'm down for pretty much whatever. I'm here to drink and be merry.

We've got a whole mess of people join the group in the land rush and I have no idea if they have chimed in over here. Not all of the names match up. If you're new or renamed, chime in.

I just signed up earlier this evening. I haven't been paying much attention to the various goings on for the game lately. Long story short, I got a kickstarter update that required my input, and I ended up looking at the land rush information. Your guild (company? corporation?) seems to fit with both my in-game and real-life preferences.

As a sometimes homebrewer, I have a strong affinity for the Accidental God.

Better Idea. Take Catch Off Guard. Your Musket is now a 2handed Bludgeoning weapon doing 1d10+1(str) with a x2 crit. A) you can take this at level 1, B) you will never waste a grit point for pistolwhip (which sucks as a deed to begin with, but I won't go there)

Also : Deadly aim. yeah its nice you can always hit, but at early levels its important to ensure it hurts too. And you've got a while till you get to add your dex to damage.

If you're using a musket and you're worried about occasionally being in melee, get an Axemusket. It's a musket. It's a battle axe. And it doesn't require a feat to use. Major downside is d8 damage, and 30ft. range. The range shouldn't be too big a deal at low level anyway. They damage might hurt a bit, but you're looking at only 2(ish) points difference, on average.

Realistically speaking, you could probably get your DM to throw you a bone on this one, since by RAW you don't start with it. My gunslinger player wanted one, and I gave it to her no problem.
