Appearance:
Tall, Lanky, and Dark Haired, with a well trimmed goatee. Sharp, angular facial features, with hazel eyes. Often puts up a very brash and bold front to disguise the fact he really knows very little of the world.
History:
After the death of his parents (who were caught in a blizzard), Chalen grew up with his Uncle, a semi-famous magister many miles to the southeast. His Uncle encouraged Chalen's natural talents, and taught him the finer parts of arcane knowledge, as well as several languages, in return for Chalen doing the majority of the manual labor. Unfortunately, Chalen's Uncle kept him cloistered within his dwelling almost continuously, neglecting to teach him much about the outside world, except for as his Uncle saw it. When a rival mage killed Chalen's Uncle in a spell duel, burning down his home in the process, Chalen sought out the only relative he knew of, a distant cousin living in Falcon's Hollow.
Earlier this week, Chalen arrived in Falcon's Hollow only to discover his relative had been killed some time ago in a logging accident. With nowhere to go and no prospects, Chalen is becoming increasingly desperate.
