A wayfinder is a silver compass with gold accents with an indentation capable of holding an ioun stone

What it does is give a +2 bonus to survival checks to avoid becoming lost, and it can also be commanded to emit light (like the spell) as a standard action

Okay, given that Half-Porc went the way of Wizard, I should definitely play a Cleric and save the Dragon Disciple in a game where it will more suit party balance.

Don't let me keep you from playing the sorcerer. I was basing my decision on not being able to come up with a good story for a paladin and that one of the other many people would play a cleric (not you). It will be all good in the end, play what you want.

Sure, but you do have a wizard made already, and things always go much more smoothly when the party has someone along who can heal. Further, I DO like playing clerics, and I'm certain I'll get a chance at some point to play a Disciple.

Looks like so far only the Elf fighter and Gnome rogue are in still. I wouldn't mind playing a wizard. I'll get him up and in concept, or a paladin, aaaaah too many choices.

Is a cleric good for you? I know we already have one, just wanted to make sure as I can make something else. Maybe Paladin. For now I will work on Dorsera as a Cleric.

It would be awesome to keep this alive, I have been looking forward to playing Velios.

Dorsera was a character already created and I would gladly fill any other role, just let me know what you need.

I would like join or be a backup if this is still going. I will play whatever fits the group since it looks pretty full.

So right now, what the offered up character suggestions are looking like this:

KEJR - Half-orc Ranger
Catman - ? Sorceror
Seeker - Human Paladin
CHP - Half-elf Fighter

Backgrounds are looking pretty good so far. For those of you who have placed their characters elsewhere, what is it that brought them to Kassen?

Updated background to refer to Kassen Guard instead of Tamran Guard.

I am interested also. I was thinking a Half-Elf fighter named Velios Silverthorn training with the Tamran guard. His father Eravius Silverthorn was an elf who fell in love with a Varisian bard named Kinsava. While Kinsava was pregnant with Velios a jealous unknown member of Kinsava's clan assassinated Eravius during one of his long days of study in his library. Distraught and heart broken, Kinsava ran away to Tamran where she died giving birth in the church of Erastil. From that day on Velios was raised by the church and doesn't really know much about his parents. When he was old enough he enrolled in the guard and has been training ever since.

Found the game thread. Let me know if you want me to take over.

We are looking for players to replace some that have dropped out of Monty Haul's Legacy of Fire pbp.

We've lost a few along the way, including the DM (until January we hope) and currently are in a monastery with two of the playerless characters still in the group. They are Parvenah and Jaken who would be prime to take over.

We will also accept new concepts, but I would probably want you to run one of these two until a sensible in game situation arises for them to depart and your new character to come online. Mostly this is becuase introducing a new character probably won't get to happen for anohter month.

One final thing. As Monty is otherwise occupied until Jan, I am currently DMing, and playing my character Losk (a Dwarven cleric) if that bothers you, please stay away!

Looking for 2-3 new players.....

Hello all! I will be joining you in game. Most Likely gonna play a Half-Orc Ranger. I have a question about the race though, you have -2 to Int or Cha, is this my choice?

What exactly are you looking for in your game, I am willing to play just about anything.

I would like to play in a PbP game if anyone has one starting up. I am very familiar with the rules but have never played in the pathfinder world or in a PbP game. If you can deal with that and need a player please let me know.

I believe I have some non-sentient pig "friends" that I could "invite" to the party... Since we shouldn't use that microwave, I'm sure someone here can conjure up a flamestrike on the pig.
