There are many many other ways mod writers can kill you. Think of all OP or broken builds and combos that existed pre-ACG. Campaign Devs kept those out of scenarios.

Yeah, destroying equipment is better. Now that creates a lot of deliciously sad tears.

Why is it acceptable for there to be "killer gms" in society? Is the management really ok with people openly trying to be mean to strangers? Are they not worried this reflects bad on the game itself?
I don't think most people go out of their way to kill players, but sometimes that just happens and if you think you've been the victim of a killer GM just avoid their tables. That is what I do.

I DEMAND MORE TEARS!

I want to see GMs and players given the ability, the training, and the moral authority to successfully deal with game-wrecking combinations at the table. Not by nerfing legal characters, but by working together to ensure that the entire group can contribute, and are having fun.

This is a terrible idea. There is no place in this thread for a sensible comment such as this.

Back to ranting everyone!

Mr. Baird, you should petition for the chance to run your scenario as often as you like at Gencon, as the last official chances to play open access Aasimar and tieflings.
I am signed up to run it several times. Come find me!
Oh Hi, Admiral Akbar! What are you doing here???

I am making no promises that freshly made Aasimar and Tieflings who show up at my tables during Gen Con will survive to see 1 xp. This is clearly not a tarp.

If I remember correctly Joe Caubo's character died in the first 15 minutes of the first encounter and they didn't complete a second encounter.
Eh, He died 15 minutes into the special. We then completed 5 or 6 encounters in Act 2. We easily handled the first encounter of Act 3, then fought a position game with the BBEG of Tier 14-15. I don't think Baird was ever going to let us catch it.
Ah, ok, so it wasn't "didn't complete a second encounter", but "didn't complete the third act" instead. That sounds less bad. Well at least I was correct about Caubo's character death! :-)
