Background -
For the first few years of his life, Caravas lived on the streets with his mother, not knowing where the next meal was coming from. At an early age he had to steal to survive. Once his mother joined the sisterhood of Arshea at their temple, that all changed. He suddenly had a home and a place to eat.

However, as he grew older, he found he still needed the excitement of the city streets to pass the time between and after his studies. He would drift among the performers on the streets, amazed at their acrobatic skills and on ocassion joining in some of the simpler routines. It was on one of these trips to the city when he encountered a gruff half-orc by the name of Grnash being harassed by a mixed gang of youths and adult humans.

Seeking to even the odds a bit, Caravas combined his actobatics he'd been performing with a couple of nicks with a dagger here and there and helped Grnash drive his attackers away. In thanks, Grnash took Caravas under his wing to teach him a few things about fighting. It was also a surprise to Caravas when Grnash took him back to the temple of Arshea and greeted his mother like they were old friends which in fact they were.

From all of the time he'd spent on the streets, Caravas began to feel like something was wrong and that there was no right for people to be so scared of being out where they lived or for their spouse and children to come home safely. He felt he had to do something about it and spoke to his mother. With a heavy heart she agreed and surprised him with a gift she said had belonged to Caravas' father. She had rarely spoken of him before this and Caravas' curiousity was aroused. She wouldn't answer any of his questions, but left and returned with a basket-hilted sword of the (as Grnash had taught him) Aldori Swordlords.

When he questioned Grnash about the quality of the sword and it was confirmed to be a masterful example of the weapon. Grnash did let it slip though that he knew it hadn't come from an Aldori Swordlord but from one of the nobles in Westcrown itself. Not wanting Grnash to pick up on the fact that he'd just given Caravas a clue about his father, Caravas changed the subject but now has been left wondering exactly who his father is. From what he's seen of the nobles in the city though, he's sure his father may not be as thrilled to find out about a bastard son as a normal father would be to know a child.
