A Fun Adventure in the same veins as Lovecraft and Burroughs

A rare coupling, Called to Darkness manages to pull off the unusual combination of pulp elements and some Lovecraftian goodies to spice up a tale of revenge and magic that also lends itself to the Conan type vein. The main character, while being driven by revenge, shows just enough development and personality to get you to like her while still showing the cold detachment and self-reliance that makes you remember that she is still from a brutal culture. The travel through the darklands was as much fun as the events that transpired as they reached their destination, and even the secondary characters and villain were enjoyable. Overall an excellent addition to the Tales line.

Another excellent product. While mainly being geared towards cavaliers, druids, rangers, and wizards/sorcerers, this book also provides plenty of great options for players playing other classes such as the Mad Dog Barbarian and the Carnivalist Rouge. Not to mention great ideas and references for DMs who wish to add animal elements into the world, including prices for rare or uncommon animals (even Dinosaurs!), new familiars (Including Dinosaurs), and more(Dinosaurs)! Definitely a worthy buy for any Pathfinder player.

Not for Beginners

This is definitely a beautiful piece, but not for beginners seeing that the assembly is kinda clunky, especially since the neck and wings all occupy the same spot. Still, once assembled this looks great, worth the time to build.
