Most of my money was spent on spells and crafted scrolls
OK, so that's 450gp each (slim pickings, indeed). Daurros can get rope trick and hold portal, but that's it for this trip. Scrying, overland flight, et. al. will need to wait until we get some more loot.Like I said, Finn has 3000 gp (not including the 450 gp you mention) he's willing to lend Daurros if he wants to buy some more spells. Alright, if I borrow enough for a 4th and a 5th level spell (700 + 1125 = 1825), the next question is which spells? I know we discussed before, but I really am having a hard time deciding. Problem with scrying is that it has an expensive (and not easily transportable) focus, which would also have to be purchased. Not real sure about sending, either; would we find a need for it often enough for me to memorize as one of my two 5th level slots?

Also, knowing we're headed towards a volcano, he'll use the remaining 150gp of his share to scribe endure elements six times, and resist energy once (6x 12.5 and 1x 75).
I absolutely love Diplomacy, and would like to play. The only issue I have is that I will be in Italy on business from March 24th through the 30th, and usually don't have internet access when I'm there (the hotels charge like $15-$20/day and my company won't cover it). So maybe reserve me for a possible second game?
Thanks! I really enjoy Markhet, too. The image of the two of them riding a lion into battle against a gnoll tribe is just awesome, IMO. I also really like Karrin's long ramblings; they really lighten things up. I know Ekuur's the outsider, but I may need to see what happens if he interacts with her a bit more. Should be fun! We're actually fairly far in to Seeker's STAP, especially for a PbP. We've just arrived at Farshore and finished the first pirate fight (a little ways into Tides of Dread, I believe).
I don't remember claiming the bracers or medallion, but that doesn't mean I didn't. My memory has been lousy lately. If no one else wants it, I'll take the medallion. As for the bracers, they can be sold and the money split, actually, as mage armor is superior and I still have a scroll or two of that.
Yep, still want to go a-dungeon crawling. Yang just didn't have time to scribe any spells or anything, which is why he plopped down in place. He's just waiting for the others return. Although on a side note, I will be heading back to Italy for a week starting Saturday. As they charge for internet, and my company won't pay, and I'm a cheap-a$$, my internet will be very limited. Please DMPC me as needed.
Agreed; we should probably sell most of it, actually. Everything except the wand of cmw. Unless anyone wants to lay claim to anything else. And Farshore may a good place to add someone, if we want to do that. I'm in favor, personally - now that we're 9th level, a cleric would be good for that all-important raise dead...
They still played an impressive game. And that Stafford is damn good. I expect the Lions to be dangerous again next year. They need to fix their holes that allowed 90+ points over two games, but yeah, I'm already looking forward to next season. For now, I'll throw my support to whoever wins the Saints/49ers next week. They're the only ones I think can take the (much hated and despised) Packers out. I'm rooting for the Giants, but I don't think they'll do it.
Don't forget Daurros can make you one. OK, unless anyone else has any last minute input, I'll probably go with phantasmal killer, suffocate, and teleport. Once we get to our destination, we can make plans to teleport back to civilization and pick up more stuff. Also probably going to go with Fast Study at 9th, then Quicken Spell at 10th. My thought is that I only have two 5h level slots right now, which may be better served with actual 5th level spells (especially if we can get a few more from a 'shopping trip').
You have teleport, you can get the material components. True, but I'm not entirely sure if that's a two or three day trip. Each spell can take me 900 miles, so it'd be overnight at least. I figured we should wait until we get to our destination first before going back to Sasserine (or even one of the forts). So at that point, I could buy the scrolls. I'm mostly looking at the remainder of the island trip; we may have more encounters and I'd like potentially useful spells.
All: looking for some suggestions as to what spells to learn this time around. I'm taking the human wizard favored class bonus, so I can add one 4th level in addition to the two 5th level spells. Here's what I was considering: 4th: dimensional anchor, dimension door, phantasmal killer, calcific touch (APG)*
*pending Seeker's ok of the spell I also considered scrying and stoneskin, but being in the middle of the jungle, I'm not sure where I could come up with the focus / material components.
Agerron's player is a not-so-secret-agent and regularly goes on assignment. He pretends to be all sad about it, but I can tell he's smiling when he lets us know he'll be gone for a bit. Heh, I wish ;-). Actually, I absolutely hate flying, so a 15-hour direct flight to Shanghai in coach is pretty close to my definition of hell. And 8 hours to Amsterdam, followed by 1 1/2 to Turin (also in coach), is a close second. Although the cities are nice...
