I think Karkalla took the leather wrapped fang, which didn't count as a choice.
Not much, unfortunately. I'll be spending most of my time training others in a conference room. But thanks for the well wishes!
Once again, I will be out of town on business, beginning Saturday afternoon. I'll be back the following Saturday. This time it's to Shanghai and then to Seoul (a new city for me, for a change). Feel free to DMPC me to keep the action moving.

And congrats, ADMaE!

Yes, Daurros gives everyone their share. As most aren't present, he won't presume to read their minds, and will let them do with their share what they want.
I have a headbands of vast intelligence +2 also, so looks like Daurros is a bit higher in gear than the rest.
Daurros has:
bracers of armor +2
cloak of resistance +1
pearl of power (2nd),
scrolls (all crafted) - charm person, enlarge person x2, endure elements x6, expeditious retreat x2, shield x2, sleep, magic weapon, repair light damage x2, protection from evil (CL 3rd), cat’s grace, resist energy x2, water breathing, fireball, versatile weapon, haste, invisibility, mirror image x2, web, break, true strike, grease, cause fear, glitterdust, knock
potions - cure light wounds x2, cure moderatw wounds
wand of mage armor ??ch
wand of repair light damage 48ch
wand of ray of enfeeblement 45ch
wand of magic missile 41ch
Handy Haversack (16 lbs)
Spellbooks
Aureon's Spellshard
cash -
7 pp; 169 gp; 7 sp
Most of my money was spent on spells and crafted scrolls
I'm actually going to borrow 2250 and get two 5th level spells - sending and telekinesis.

Scrying, overland flight, et. al. will need to wait until we get some more loot. Like I said, Finn has 3000 gp (not including the 450 gp you mention) he's willing to lend Daurros if he wants to buy some more spells. Alright, if I borrow enough for a 4th and a 5th level spell (700 + 1125 = 1825), the next question is which spells? I know we discussed before, but I really am having a hard time deciding. Problem with scrying is that it has an expensive (and not easily transportable) focus, which would also have to be purchased. Not real sure about sending, either; would we find a need for it often enough for me to memorize as one of my two 5th level slots?

Also, knowing we're headed towards a volcano, he'll use the remaining 150gp of his share to scribe endure elements six times, and resist energy once (6x 12.5 and 1x 75).
Stuff for sale in Sasserine:
* +2 studded leather
* +1 keen rapier
* a masterwork punching dagger
* a crystal frog (350gp)
* gold deaths head amulet(150 gp)
* several gold bracelets (100 gp total)
And for the Falcons - who's taking the two potions of CMW?
Ditto from me, too, Pat. It's a great game, and well worth the occasional lull.
Bump
Happy birthday!!! Enjoy it.
Forgot to mention, I will be leaving for Italy (yet again) tomorrow afternoon, and will be back by Friday. Please DMPC me as needed.
I absolutely love Diplomacy, and would like to play. The only issue I have is that I will be in Italy on business from March 24th through the 30th, and usually don't have internet access when I'm there (the hotels charge like $15-$20/day and my company won't cover it). So maybe reserve me for a possible second game?
Sure, why not?

Thanks Bryan!
I love Vrealk BTW, Ekuur doesn't mesh as well with my character Karrin, but your goblin and my gnome are like two peas in a pod :)
How far are you in Seeker's STAP BTW? Thanks! I really enjoy Markhet, too. The image of the two of them riding a lion into battle against a gnoll tribe is just awesome, IMO. I also really like Karrin's long ramblings; they really lighten things up. I know Ekuur's the outsider, but I may need to see what happens if he interacts with her a bit more. Should be fun!
We're actually fairly far in to Seeker's STAP, especially for a PbP. We've just arrived at Farshore and finished the first pirate fight (a little ways into Tides of Dread, I believe).
Awesome! Always love to see more Tristan, Guy. Here's one person that hopes you finish the adventure. Or maybe even beyond ...;)
Agreed; I'd like to get a healer of some kind as well. It only gets harder from here on out ...
I don't remember claiming the bracers or medallion, but that doesn't mean I didn't. My memory has been lousy lately. If no one else wants it, I'll take the medallion. As for the bracers, they can be sold and the money split, actually, as mage armor is superior and I still have a scroll or two of that.
All - once again, I am heading off to Italy for business, leaving tomorrow and returning on the 4th. Please DMPC San as needed.

Yep, still want to go a-dungeon crawling. Yang just didn't have time to scribe any spells or anything, which is why he plopped down in place. He's just waiting for the others return. Although on a side note, I will be heading back to Italy for a week starting Saturday. As they charge for internet, and my company won't pay, and I'm a cheap-a$$, my internet will be very limited. Please DMPC me as needed.
hogarth wrote: Daurros can craft wondrous items. Why, yes, he can. And as for a spell in Ardanto's sword, Daurros has several to choose from; I'd suggest vampiric touch or touch of gracelessness.
I'd prefer a PC healer over the other options, also.
As for the rod, I wonder if Finn or Toxim might be better off with it. I would think they may be in situations where it would be useful more than me.
Agreed; we should probably sell most of it, actually. Everything except the wand of cmw. Unless anyone wants to lay claim to anything else.
And Farshore may a good place to add someone, if we want to do that. I'm in favor, personally - now that we're 9th level, a cleric would be good for that all-important raise dead...
Me neither. And I read the Kaer Maga book. D'oh!

Heh ... it's like the old saying, my favorite two teams are the Lions and whoever's playing the Packers.
Welcome back!
Aberzombie wrote: They still played an impressive game. And that Stafford is damn good. I expect the Lions to be dangerous again next year. They need to fix their holes that allowed 90+ points over two games, but yeah, I'm already looking forward to next season.
For now, I'll throw my support to whoever wins the Saints/49ers next week. They're the only ones I think can take the (much hated and despised) Packers out. I'm rooting for the Giants, but I don't think they'll do it.
Daurros is updated to 9th level. I also revised the sheet to match the format I've been using lately, which I like better. In the process, I noticed I was off by one on all of his intelligence-based skills; I think I forgot to add 1 for the headband he made a while back.
Hah, changed my mind. Went with quicken spell.
All DMs are evil wrote: I am leveled up, went for improved critical.
I need to start looking for a +2 dexterity bonus item before level 11 or I do not qualify for Greater Two Weapon Fighting.
I also would not mind the item from the APG that adds 2 to weapon training. That is a huge bonus for Ardanto.
Don't forget Daurros can make you one.
OK, unless anyone else has any last minute input, I'll probably go with phantasmal killer, suffocate, and teleport. Once we get to our destination, we can make plans to teleport back to civilization and pick up more stuff.
Also probably going to go with Fast Study at 9th, then Quicken Spell at 10th. My thought is that I only have two 5h level slots right now, which may be better served with actual 5th level spells (especially if we can get a few more from a 'shopping trip').
Dax Thura wrote: You have teleport, you can get the material components. True, but I'm not entirely sure if that's a two or three day trip. Each spell can take me 900 miles, so it'd be overnight at least. I figured we should wait until we get to our destination first before going back to Sasserine (or even one of the forts). So at that point, I could buy the scrolls. I'm mostly looking at the remainder of the island trip; we may have more encounters and I'd like potentially useful spells.
If only we didn't have to play the second half ...
All: looking for some suggestions as to what spells to learn this time around. I'm taking the human wizard favored class bonus, so I can add one 4th level in addition to the two 5th level spells. Here's what I was considering:
4th: dimensional anchor, dimension door, phantasmal killer, calcific touch (APG)*
5th (definitely taking) - teleport
5th: waves of fatigue, break enchantment, dismissal, wall of force, hold monster, suffocate (APG)*
*pending Seeker's ok of the spell
I also considered scrying and stoneskin, but being in the middle of the jungle, I'm not sure where I could come up with the focus / material components.
OK, haven't decided yet specifically, but I was considering the fast study arcane discovery. May still go with quicken spell instead, but not sure.
Cool! 9th level here we come. Question: are you allowing content from Ultimate Magic? Specifically feats and the Arcane Discoveries?
lvl 9 HP = 1d4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 2 = 8
Nobody gives the Lions a chance eh? That's OK, they can be be the underdogs. Sort of like Seattle last year ...
[threadjack] Guy, the City of Opal game has finally got going, if you're still going to play Kessel. Just wanted to let you know.[/threadjack]
[threadjack] Hey, ADMaE, Pat restarted the City of Opal game, if you're still playing Ten Foot. We're all getting reacquainted ... [/threadjack]
Well, I'm back from Italy a day early. Guess since it was my fourth trip to Turin, and I had seen most of the sights, I had to check one out I hadn't yet experienced - the inside of an Italian hospital. All I can say is - kidney stones really suck!

Finally, we leave for vacation (Florida) on the 17th and will be back on January 3rd. From past experience, I will likely have limited internet while in China and Italy, and posting may be spotty while in Florida. I will update as often as I can, but if anything gets held up while waiting for me, feel free to DMPC Agerron as needed.
Agerron's player is a not-so-secret-agent and regularly goes on assignment. He pretends to be all sad about it, but I can tell he's smiling when he lets us know he'll be gone for a bit. Heh, I wish ;-). Actually, I absolutely hate flying, so a 15-hour direct flight to Shanghai in coach is pretty close to my definition of hell. And 8 hours to Amsterdam, followed by 1 1/2 to Turin (also in coach), is a close second. Although the cities are nice...
