Brick was one of the last warforged produced by House Cannith. Created by an insane artificer as an experiment, Brick was intended to be recycled back into the forge, but the forges were shut down befor this could take place. As a consequence, Brick (originally named for his numerous ceramic parts) was abandoned on a roadside near Auruldusk, and just kept walking in the direction he was pointed in. After close to a year, Brick literally ran into a parked airship, which decided to use him as ballast. He was dumped into the ocean just off the coast of Stormreach. A day later, he realized where he was and came out of the sea and into the city.
Brick is a rather plain-looking warforged built on a base of rusted steel, and covered in stained and pitted white ceramic plating. Standing nearly eight feet tall, with a massive chest and tiny head, many people get the wrong impression that he is some sort of fighting machine. In truth, Brick tries to stay away from fights as a rule. Brick is also dumber than, well, a brick. That, combined with a sense of childlike wonder, can get him in some sticky situations. Ergo, Brick has resolved to learn as much as possible (his personal philosophy), and remains unflaggingly optimistic in even the most dire of predicaments. Contrary to his dull computational skills, Brick possesses unique powers of insight. While his theories may not necessarily be right, they are certainly unique.

Spoiler:
Brick's creator was in fact, a scholar of the planes, and Brick was created as a direct conduit to a plane rich in positive energy. The warforged serves as a battery, storing energy and releasing it through healing spells and bursts of light, sound, and force. However, after encountering a powerful Khyber-spawned aberrant dragonmark in the bowels of a ruin in Xen'drik, an unknown power used the planar conduit to take control of Brick as a weapon against the forces of the Dragon Below.
