(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

The Chronicler wrote:

"You're a ranger," she says excitedly, "My father is a ranger too. His name is Idris Eavewalker. He's very famous..."

"His name is well known. They say he can move with the wind and talk with the wild nearly as well as my people," Bowen doesn't turn to look at her rather keeping an eye on all the enforcers he sees. "Though I'm sure I can learn many things from him... But I don't think you came to tell me your father and I have the same calling though, did you?"

I'm guessing I'm a little far up to hear the rest of the party. Also once we get to the Sheriff's office I'll wait outside till everyone is in.

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

With a nod Bowen slips out the door first with his bow ready. He continues to look around scanning all the faces trying to see if any of them work for the Lumber Consortium. He motions to the rest when he doesn't see anyone new and continues on trying to keep an eye on all directions treating the village as if it were the forest. "At least there are no trees for them to jump down from or hide behind," he mumbles as he scans the surroundings.

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

"Will the Sheriff hear of this and come check it out? I didn't see anyone running to get him." Bowen shrugs and shakes his head. "These people out there will not get involved, it would mean death to them. Another choice is one of us go but again they may be a good target for another attack." As he walks looking out the windows with bow in hand he turns back to Rall.

Rall
"You are the Deputy here so you will no more about the way this town works, after all I spend my days outside the Wall."

I also do not know how far it is to the Sheriff.

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

Like a liquid shadow Bowen flows back through another window making it appear that none have entered or left the tavern since the disturbance occurred.

"Looks like all is clear. Though I do not think we can relax our vigilance. As we move we need to keep ready for trouble the Consortiums do not take kindly to defeat."

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

Is there any order we need to post in now?

"I think we stick together just to make sure we make it to see the sheriff without much more trouble. These two won't be starting any fights any time soon but I wonder what is waiting for us outside," says Rall. "If we can get these guys on their feet, what would you say to getting out of here?"

Bowen draws his bow and knocks an arrow, "If you will secure them I will scout ahead." He will move to exit out of the back way or a window and sneak or move silently around looking for anything before coming back in.

1d20+6, 1d20+6=21 Move Silently, 21 Hide

1d20+10, 1d20+8=28 Spot, 14 Listen

Bowen bends over and examines the bodies. Any wounds within his capabilities he staunches and ads bandages.

Turning to Rall, "Well I'm glad ye decided to arrest some of them. This will make things dangerous for any of us. Especially the wee folk that helped." He motions towards the three nonhumans.

"We may need to stick together. If no other reason then to give a recollection to the sheriff. What think ye Rall?"

I can do healing checks if I need to otherwise I would have taken ten. This way we save magic healing for later.

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

Getting annoyed Bowen steps in closer and swipes his blade from low to high trying again to free the thugs blood from his body.

1d20+4, 1d4+3= 20, 5

Yay I rolled a teen!!

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

With all the dodging Bowen finds it hard to land a clean blow and misses yet again.

1d20+4=8

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

With iron in his eyes Bowen does a quick jab with his dagger towards the man swinging his club at him.

1d20+4, 1d4+3 =8, 5

I think I did that right... Looks like I miss even with flanking bonus

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

Initiative 1d20+2=19

Bowen moves to help Balnar by flanking one of the men and draws his dagger as he moves in.

Sorry I'm late all just got home from the hospital

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

With an easy smile that does nothing to ease his looks he regards the small figure that has approached him, "Tis a night chant that we say before a battle on a night with no moon."

His' eyes flash to the door as soon as the thugs enter. He knows these ones well they have already tried to recruit him twice for "silencing" but was able to shrug off the offers.

To give Rall a slightly better chance Bowen slowly begins drumming to his whistle then starts in with the words in hopes of giving him a distraction he might need.

"Through darkness and night
You will find no respite
For warriors work their craft
On enemies bold but daft
Before the dawn can brake
You will drown in a blood lake."

With out a thought on why he slowly stands and leans against his booth nonchalantly as he sings. Out of his peripheral vision he notices with a smile that he isn't the only trying to help out. Hopefully we all won't end up dead after this, he thinks to himself.

The song really has no mechanic meaning behind it. Maybe I'll add bard later.

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

Lifting three copper pieces he motions for Savram, "Here be this weeks pay Young Master Vade. Ye saved my skin many I night with yer tonics." It was a complete lie the tonic did nothing but smell odd, but Bowen knew the family and their needs.

He sits back and relaxes as he waits for one of the wenches to bring his first mead of the day he begins whistling an old Shoanti war tune. No one ever wants to journey out into the surroundings on a Sunday and no one feels like messing with a savage whistling a war ditty.

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

Bowen finishes his mead when he notices that the gathering of stunts have pointed him out. He sees that they also pointed out the silver tongued Deputy and the mountain of a man that works for the Consortiums.

Thinking he needs a refill anyway and the short people are good for a laugh anyway. He slips out of his booth and stretches to his full height he stifles a chuckle as he thinks none of them come to his waist.

"May I help you small folks," he asks. "I am making a guess here but I don't think any of you actually need a guide."

I may be a little slow on posting the next few days. My wife is going in tomorrow to have our second child. So I will most likely be only able to post once or twice a day.

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

"Wow, He makes me look good," Bowen states then after thinking, "But then again it could be the smell he emits... I'll just drink my mead."

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

Enters the tavern and heads towards his normal booth in the corner with a view of the room and access to a window big enough for him to leap through.

"I'll take the usual thank you."

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

Who would have thought I would find so much trouble when all I want to do is stay out of the way.

Are there any insurgencies around town that I could join or what ever. No man should be ruled by another.

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

Rall Kirnast wrote:
I bet I'm the best looking fellow in this party. and that Shoanti fellow probably has a charisma penalty ... definitely made charisma his dump stat.

It isn't my fault that you people don't understand my ways. With my people I'm quite the lady charmer. Now if I can get used to all this talk while I am trying to drink I may be better off.

(Male Shoanti/Human Ranger 4)

Woods guide Bowen Quaid ready to show you the way.

Hopefully this will work, if not give me heads up and I'll fiddle with it a little more.
