I got mine yesterday and I must say it's Kick-butt all the way through! The adventure is top notch. The Akastas and Void Zobies are creepy. The info about the rest of the solar system left me wanting more! I see a Worlds of Pathfinder book in the future. The Witch Wyrds are cool as hell. The art was all fantaastic!
Is this 3.0 or 3.5? It would be very helpful if the product descriptions indicated that.
Thanks.
Hmm. With the Precocious Apprentice feat (Complete Arcane, pg.181) a 1st level wizard could have Summon Monster II on his spells known list, and could summon a lemure. I could see the Acadamae approving of a 1st level wizard having the moxy to do this.
I haven't read this scenario, but I will concur

it's a heck of a lot better than I could sculpt, but not my favorite mini Hmm. He does seem to be very lantern-jawed. Maybe Brad Pitt was the model?

It's some good stuff. I don't know. I've tried to keep my eyes and ears open about good D20 product, some I've only discovered late in the game, but some I've had to put off buying for budget reasons. Nyambe is one I've always been intrigued about, but wasn't sure if I'd get a chance to use in a game. That often restricts my gaming purchases.
Man at $10 for a hard cover I'm having a hard time resisting this one. The fact that it's linked to Arcanis makes it tougher. Arcanis is a really cool setting.
What sold me on Pathfinder adveture path, was throughout their tenure with Dragon and Dungeon the Paizo folks showed that they loved D&D: the game, the hobby, and the players. They made Dragon and Dungeon top notch. So, when WoTC announced that they were killing the magazines, I put my faith in Paizo's quality and opted to convert my remaining Dungeon and Dragon subscriptions to Pathfinder. They were offering a great value, and I trusted them. The first Pathfinder was fantastic! I have never rgretted it! Paizo keeps putting out FUN quality products, and I keep buying them. I only wish that I could afford to buy all the modules and PF Chronicles books as well.
I truly feel that the Paizo crew are the true successors and torch bearers of D&D. They honor what has gone before and yet add something new and exciting too.

It's hard for me to understand why *these* evil people are strongly motivated to be the ones who save the world, but none of the other innumerable evil people are willing to put out to do it--after all, they want to keep living too. Most plausible evil PCs, it seems to me, are at some point going to go for their personal advantage and hope that the problem is solved by other means. "It has to be us" usually flows from some kind of sense of duty, or from a personal connection. Maybe there's a personal connection here but I don't see it yet. Well, it could be that they dont trust anyone else to do it right. Evil comes in many forms, and it often has a big ego. Take, for example, a LE wannabe-dark-lord sorceror/Wizard PC. He he knows he's going to be the next Geb/Nex/Tar Baphon, and what kind of dark lord would he be if he couldnt stop a big rock from hitting a planet? That could be Jodah.
Also, keep in mind that evil people rarely believe they are actually bad guys. They usually believe that they are doing what must be done, or the ends justifies the means. Just because someone is evil, doesn't mean they don't want to be the hero.
I could see where a paladin might take an interest in the staff and customers at the Gold Goblin in order to witness to them and try to save their souls. You can't bring people into the light without venturing into the darkness. You can't clean up a town like Riddleport without getting a little dirty.
I thought Dragonstar had a lot of cool ideas. High technology that was largely powered by magic.
I'm hoping that we'll see something like the Spelljammer ships in the Golarion universe. Pathjammer! Adventures in the Monaverse! or is it the Jacobsverse? or Monjacverse?

** spoiler omitted **
I know these oddities don't ultimately keep me from running or enjoying the adventure, but I'm hoping one of the Paizo Gawds could clarify for my OCD's sake ;)
Thanks
I haven't read the Companion yet, but the Devil's Fork is that three-pointed mountain ridge (#24) adjacent to the river on the north side of town. The sialnd is Maskyr's Island which holds the overlord's citadel.
The building labeled #20 that resembles the Gold Goblin map in shape (though is clearly incorrect in interpretation )and is west of the arena is the Gold Goblin.
A tag was omitted from the dungeon map just past B9 that should say "300 ft." to indicate that the tunnel extends an additional 300 feet in that direction before reaching B10. Also omitted were the contour lines that show that the tunnel both descends and then ascends before and after B9. Thanks Greg!
Wow! She's beautiful! I love the vast majority of the Pathfinder art, but this cover is very nice!

I really like the backstory with this new AP
Congratulations Paizo!
Last year, when Dragon and Dungeon were taken away, I was bummed out. I took the plunge with you and transferred my remaining subscription of the magazines to Pathfinder, and I have been glad I did! Pathfinder is an excellent product. The adventures, the art, the setting, etc., demonstrate Paizo's commitment to excellence. The PF Chronicles line and the PF modules rock as well. When you announced The Pathfinder RPG and posted the alpha release, I literally jumped around like a buffoon in joy. Thanks for the quality work and your obvious love for the game and hobby.
Congratulations and Huzzah!
Hi,
I've been reading the posts in this thread and others for a while, and something occurred to me. The Pathfinder setting already feels like it's been around as long as Greyhawk, or Forgotten Realms. It feels like it's an old, rich, and living world with history and energy. I know that is what you Paizo folks intended, and I just have to say damn fine work! Thanks.

From accounts you're looking at giant fuzzy gangly spiders about the size and shape of king crabs that throw themselves into whirlwinds to travel around. Their forelimbs have evolved...I kid you not, teeth! and there's been stories of them injecting anaesthetic venom into napping soldiers and eating fist-sized chunks out of them. Golarion NEEDS monsterous camel spiders! Snopes says that only the name is true. They hunt small prey, can't jump well, can't move by whirlwind and are not venomous. But a monster based on that idea would be awesome. Hi,
I have actually seen real camel spiders in Oman when I was in the Air Force. They are a light, sandy brown, pretty big: including legs, about the size of a grown man's hand with fingers spread out. The locals said they do have a mildly anaesthetic venom, and they have been known to feed on blood from sleeping camels and people. I was showering one night and saw one scampering across the shower room floor. It didn't show any interest in me, so I left it alone.
I'm hoping that there will be travel between the Pathfinder worlds on magical ships that look like fantastical sailing ships. Pathjammer! Adventures in the Monaverse!
AWESOME! This is the best news since the Pathfinder RPG announcement, and that made me just act a fool!
I know this goes back a ways, but I miss how specialist wizards' spells were just a bit harder to save against. I believe in 3.0 they got a +2 to their DC's for targets to save against the specialists' spells from their specialized school. In earlier editions I believe there was a similar mechanic. I like the logic that if someone specializes in a school of magic, their speciallity spells are harder to save against.
Thanks!
Hi,
I was wondering, do the prices on the Goodman Games listings reflect the 20% discount, or will the discount be applied at checkout? Also does the sale include all Goodman Games products or only the minis and DCC adventures? For instance I've been eyeing thos Judges Guild adventures published by Goodman Games, and 20% off might push me off the fence.
Thanks.
Hi
I agree with many of the above ideas. I will reiterate them as a show of support and add one or two. In no particular order:
Yes to Regional feats, and yes to them not necessarily being class or combat specific
Also some regional skills that PCs could take as class skills, or maybe some skills that locals get a +2 bonus for the check
Maybe background packages with the above feats and or skills.
Maybe regional favored classes for multi-classing, like if one region is famous for its Bards, Bard is a favored class for characters from that area and you don't incur multi-class xp penalty for levels in that class
Yes to local color: the locales, the folk, famous NPCs, local legends, what types of creatures are found locally (i.e. for favored enemies, familiars, companions etc.), known organizations (government, guilds, schools, notorious bandit gangs, etc.)
Maybe some sample names from the different communities or cultures.
Maybe a little bonus info online

Thanks.
Wow! Thank you Paizo! This is the best gaming news I've had in months! I've been planning on staying 3.5, because I just can't see investing in a whole new system. It's great to know that there will be an excellent source of new product and support for the system I've come to love!
Plato's Nephew wrote: Like Rangers and Paladins, Savants gain the ability to cast spells at a higher level than 1st. I was wondering if, since this was the case, they case at 1/2 their class level too?
If they do, is their caster level the same or different when casting arcane and divine spells?
Or, am I just think about this to much?
I was wondering the same thing. I guess I'd assume that since it doesn't say otherwise the savant's caster level is the same as the savant class level. That seems powerful, but the bard keeps the same class level as caster level even though bards get access to spells at different levels than sorcer/wizards do. Its not exactly the same thing, but its close enough to use as a rule of thumb. Of course you could argue the same thing for using the paladin/ranger as a guideline. I don't know. Maybe I'll ask "The Sage"
