James, why has my copy of Star Wars(tm): The Old Republic(tm) been impounded by Australian Customs? It was bought from Amazon.com. Any light you could shed on the subject is appreciated.

Kthx.

Probably because someone in customs is a Star Wars fan who wanted to play the game. That, or it got eaten by a drop bear.

G*D....dammit....

I knew it...damnable drop bears at Aussie Customs!

FWIW, I am a little tired of Prestige Classes.

Have to say that I would like to see some 'Complete' handbooks done in some fashion or other. My preferences are for the 2nd Edition Complete XXX Handbooks.

I would also like to see variant PFRPG rules in an Unearthed Arcana style of book. Variant Fighter/Cleric/etc, Gestalt rules (and why it is sometimes fun to play Gestalt), and how to create your own base class.

One book I'd especially like to see would be the Complete Multiclasser's handbook.

This book would detail (for example) why a 5th level Fighter would pick up four levels of Rogue and then some Druid (other than he's a 1st Edition Bard fan). It could include roleplaying tips and fluff/crunch on multiclass archetypes and how to progress them in a sensible fashion.

I do realise that this is stepping dangerously close to being a book of claytons's prestige classes (especially after having said I am starting to tire of them), but I believe it is worth a mention if it was done correctly.

BTW: Thank you Paizo for taking the time to ask us.

Hello everyone this is my first post and I am new to Pathfinder. :)

I have a question in regards to the Wish spell for a high level Vampire that used it to Wish themself immune to regular daylight.

What do you think? Too powerful? Please assist and tell me what you think, thank you.

IMO, it is too powerful in its current form but is certainly not outside the realms of possibility. Consider an Extraordinary ability that (for example) scales to how much sunlight the wished vampire is exposed to, such as gaining the Blinded, Staggered and Shaken conditions when exposed to direct sunlight. Cloudy, snowy or rainy days/indoors might only give the wished vampire the Staggered and Shaken condition. However such a mechanic can slow down gameplay.

Another option is to have the Vampire template removed during the day, regardless if they are inside or outside. So in effect, the vampire is a normal mortal of whatever race and class (and may be killed by normal, conventional means) until the sun disappears below the horizon, whereupon they regain the template. (Staying up for the dawn can still be dangerous for a vampire; the loss of their d12 Hit die could bring a wounded vampire below 0HP at dawn.) For an added twist, if the wished Vampire is exposed to a solar or lunar eclipse, then it bursts into flames, ala normal daylight.

Hey Ikor, I have probably come too late into this and it seems that Immora has planted some excellent suggestions. In any case, I want to throw in my two coppers in any case because I love unconventional characters.

I noticed this Rogue doesn't have any ranks in Use Magical Device. To me, this is a shame because it is quite useful in a more unconventional sense. With a few ranks, there is nothing stopping Rose Hawksburrow pilfering the Wizard's Wand of Fireballs and letting rip. If a Holy Avenger is placed as treasure, this can make for some good roleplaying and gaming moments for Rose as well, especially because of the unwanted favours from the Church of St Cuthbert (hey, that elf is not the messiah!). Even better because mechanics-wise, it really doesn't have any untowards effects; it simply becomes a +2 cold iron longsword if Rose doesn't make the check.

Another skills of incredible use in combat is Bluff. Feinting in Combat is a great way to deny a Rogue's opponent his Dex bonus and open him up to all sorts of sneak attack-ery, which go hand in hand with the next part:

I would suggest looking at the Complete Scoundrel (if you'll allow the book); within are a number of 'Ambush Feats' that allow replacement of sneak attack damage for a number of different effects, such as, concussion, deafening, confusion, speech hinderance, delaying sneak attack damage are some good examples.

There are also a section on things such as 'Skill Tricks', which may augment skills already taken --at a small price. 'Spot the Weak Point' is a good example of using the Spot skill in combat (allowing the Rogue's next attack to be considered a touch attack). There are quite a number of skills and feats in there, so I would advise flicking through it for some ideas.

To me, Rogues are opportunists to the last; they sneak a look at the wizard's magical items, the Fighters weapons, the cleric's relics. They look for their opening and they capitalise it mercilessly. Hope this helps :)

Hmm. Cover reminds me of...uh...what was it called?

ah yes; Curse of the Azure Bonds.

Clyde did those covers as well. Nice nod to the old school feel, even if it is a bit same-y.
