Unfortunately, I think I might not have enough time for this game. So I'm going to withdraw so others can take my place.

Thanks for keeping me in mind.

I'm quite interested, but I lack Races of Eberron. Is it still possible for me to join in?

Sorry, having a medical issue today had to go to the hospital. Hoping I'll get to post more tomorrow.

Thanks for your patience.

Thank you for running this game for us.

Okay, my Witch is in process. I should have my character's rough posted in a couple of days. Btw, I don't see what languages Brother Aterro knows.

Bret, thank you for running this game for us. I enjoyed myself and I hope to play in another game of yours in the future.

I'd also like to thank all the other players for their participation, I enjoyed all the interactions of the other characters and the smooth RP.

Hmmm... Looks like you are a little low on Arcane types. So I'm looking to submit a CG Witch or Wizard.

Checking in and still interested in playing Keldra.

Well thanks for the consideration anyway!

This is Keldra my 1st Level Female Half Orc Barbarian

She is using the average starting wealth for her class.

Dotting for my Half Orc Female Barbarian, Keldra if there is still room for the 2nd table.

I've never played this scenario before and I will have a fresh character to play if I am allowed in.

I'm interested in what the limitation on the characters could be. For example could we use characters from the 80's or older?

I would love to get in on this game would the GM be more interested in a Sorcerer or perhaps another Barbarian?

Finding all of this interesting. Just really getting started on V1 and here comes V2! I hope the changes do come as advertised and I look forward to PbP gaming with the new rules. From my past gaming experience I know it can be exciting to come in on the ground floor of the next upgrade of a game.

I am new to Starfinder and would be interested in playing almost any character available.

Occasionally even now, I still stalk these boards...

As do I, waiting to hear from our GM.

So are we going to pick back up again?

Belated Merry Xmas and a very Happy New Year!

They should perceive that he's not intentionally an ass, it's just the way he is - that his personality and education have made him a by-the-book orders-executed-exactly-as-given* soldier.

Exactly.

They should sympathize with/that ... what? That in the long run he's a 'team player'? Or sympathize with the idea that he has great respect for his superior officers, even if his ability to display that respect is utterly offensive?

I apologize for using the whole sympathize idea. Disregard that train of thought.

What they should know from his record is that this recent displayed lack of respect for a superior is quite atypical of Corwin.

Quote:
* - While I am willing to accept that he somehow thinks that stopping every twenty feet in the first part of the course was actually following the order to 'get through the course as quickly as possible', I hope that you the player know and acknowledge that in no way was it following her order. I expect I'll be fascinated to read Corwin's explanation a little further on in the gameplay thread, post-afternoon-classes. ;)

Acknowledged.

Only when he believes it is completely necessary does he attempt to interpret his orders rather than to follow them absolutely.

Corwin was prepared to accept some punishment for the way in which he followed the WO's orders. Yes, he does think he did follow her orders.

Corwin's second nature is to have great respect for his superior officers. This is due to a combination of home and academy training.

What I meant was that while sometimes Corwin can perceived to be an ass, his superiors should realize that there is no conscious intent in him to be so. His personally profile should show that he can be overly precise in an attempt to be efficient. His record should show that occasionally it has taken him a short while to integrate fully with a unit. However once he does so he is a team player and able to mesh well within those units he has been a part of.

Yep, his background hasn't changed at all. What you stated is correct.

As far as his attitude is concerned, generally Corwin is not snide, nor sarcastic, but he can come off as an a...h... without meaning to.

Corwin was attempting to show that he both accepted his punishment with a sense of humor. Humor has never ever been a strong suite for Corwin, but occasionally he tries.

In this most recent case, Corwin was also reacting to the story that he heard before about the cadet who killed other cadets during a training mistake in addition to WO Foucaut's comments about the same subject. He was sincerely attempting to reassure her that he would die alone if the circumstances she described occurred and to assure her that he believed that they would not happen.

One thing he has learned is to take WO Foucaut literally.

The WO said she doesn't want to hear his reasons so Corwin is going to obey her and not give his reasons in her presence.

If Corwin is sometimes perceived as an ass by his fellow cadets in the beginning, that's acceptable to he and I. I am hoping that his superiors especially the adults, are more perceptive and sympathetic.

Do note that he did express an willingness to talk about his reasons later.

All right. Tired now, but will post/catch up tomorrow. Finish going through the course, up to the Plug, which you can push at.

I'm still game too..

Found it!

Corwin - double-posted.

Sorry about that. Thought I was still editing a post but apparently not...I would remove the second post if I could.

Sorryy all!

If you like, y'all can have this conversation 'in barracks' in a bit. ;)

Not to be a wet blanket but Corwin, creature of military bearing that he is, wouldn't even question following orders. Even more so after the reply to his question from the senior officers aboard the train.

He knows that there are always standing orders just like the ones they were recently given by the Cadet Sargent and the general standing orders of the PDF.

Quote:
These are standing orders for the PDF Military: Be Armed And Ready.

To Corwin, there are always orders.

Of course, if another cadet feels like they need to ask questions...

I'm still over here trying to figure out how you HAVE a job if you "have no orders".

How about following your standing orders?

Wondering if there is way for players to be notified when there are new game play posts without being logged in?

Also, I've noticed that we aren't getting posts from all of the characters. Just wondering if Lectryk is still with us?

BTW, I am enjoying myself and I look forward to further interactions between our characters.

Finally, I know that the characters are in a very serious situation even though there is that yowling werecat for comic relief.
I know this might sound a bit shallow but most teen boys at 13+ were at the very least beginning to feel certain urges. .

My questions are: Is this an area that is beyond the scope of the campaign and are therefore hand waved off into the same place other basic biological needs are?(bathroom trips, etc)

Or are the male characters' reproductive urges somehow being repressed?

The Wyrm Ouroboros wrote:

Will do, PE. Feel free to create an alias for your character (found in the 'My Account' area) and move all the information over. ;)

Everyone, forgive me if I'm mistaken, but is everyone playing as being from the US? No takers for Canada, Northern Mexico, Hispaniola, Cuba, anything else?

Yep, Corwin is definately an American. However, if you'd like he could have been born outside of the US...

GM TWO wrote:
You may also notice a lot of leftover XP - up to 42 points!

Based upon your suggestion, GM, I think we should up Corwin's PRE to 10 if possible, if not then the maximum you will allow.

Other than that, he's fine with me.

Hey! Welcome back! Its so nice to have another one of the originals from the previous incarnation of PDF International I look forward to having Harper (and especially her player) back for this new incarnation.

Okay now I'm sure we have enough interest for this version of the campaign, Wyrm. ;)

Glad to hear I can stay with Corwin.

Re: the changes in the military options. While it is a family tradition to serve in the US military, the invasion by the Thunder, the subsequent unification, and creation of the Threading program, have caused many members of Corwin's family to believe that service in the PDF is an acceptable extension of that tradition to a larger scale.

As before, Corwin himself is seeing this as an opportunity to destroy The Enemy and earn honor for his family (and himself) as a solider.

Hey Wyrm! So, as one of the players with a(n) previously existing character, could I simply use Corwin in this newer version of the campaign?

Barrier here. Count me in!

Having have played one of the military brats (Corwin) in the original HC game, I look forward to playing in this campaign again, even if I can't play him again.

Sorry it took me awhile to catch up over here.

Niee to hear from you again, TP!
