It would be really cool to fill all six tables. Oooh that's me! I actually found the event on the events page and just saw this post come up. I'm looking forward to being there.
Say for example a shadowdancer Cavalier's shadow companion was granted the Precise Strike feat with the tactician ability. Is the extra precision damage strength damage? I can't find anything about additional damage and attacks that deal ability damage other than ability damage is double like normal on a crit.
I'm offering to judge PFS #2-04: Shadows Fall on Absalom on Saturday May 26th at 5 PM EET (10AM EST) and #2-08: The Sarkorian Prophecy on Sunday May 27th at 5 PM EET (10AM EST). I run my online games using the latest non-beta release of d20Pro and Ventrilo. Sign up at http://warhorn.net/d20-pro-pfs Please use a valid email so I am able to send you the Ventrilo server information. If there is only one or two interested players I will attempt to reschedule at a later date.
Found this home-brewed feat online for 3.5 and want to get input on it's perceived level of balance. I was thinking about changing the damage to 1d8 per spell level and/or capping it to one or two levels. Prepared spell casters would have to decide to prepare a blood magic spell ahead of time but would not take the damage until the spell is cast. Blood Magic [Magical Feat]
Thoughts?
Quick question about the "Fungus God" encounter. How should I handle experience awards if the party defeats this encounter before encountering any of the vegepygmies? I don't want to award a bunch of XP for encounters they skipped, but it also seems like a LARGE chunk of XP is now unobtainable so I don't want them too penalized for the rest of the adventure. Any suggestions?
Starting up a Serpent's Skull biweekly d20Pro game starting June 12th 11AM EST until 2PMish EST. Campaign headquarters is located at Obsidian Portal Full campaign information can be found at the above site. Send me a PM here or on Obsidian Portal to join. Thanks for checking out my campaign!
Looking for a group for Pathfinder or other system (not a fan of 4e) through Vent/Teamspeak/Skype with a virtual tabletop. Have been playing for almost ten years but have not had a group for awhile due to military lifestyle. Interested in one shots or campaign/adventure path. Anyone out there looking for another player?
The secondary class rule is a variant rule of the variant gestalt rule. Instead of getting the best features of both classes, you add only the class features of the secondary class. Your secondary class is always half of our total character level (rounded down). Your secondary class automatically advances as your total character level advances. Quick and dirty, might have to look at the base classes and shore up some of the classes that have less class features against what is gained with some of the classes with the most attractive class features. Perhaps getting bonus hit points for classes that don't have class features at every level or don't advance in spell-casting (mainly thinking of fighter). Thoughts?
I am recruiting an additional two or more players for a hybrid d20Pro/PbP game using the Kingmaker Adventure Path with light to moderate modifications. For those unfamiliar with d20Pro check out the link at the bottom. The rest of the campaign will be hosted on Obsidian Portal. Game will be played bi-weekly Sunday 1PM EST using d20Pro and VoIP software (Ventrillo or Teamspeak). We will also be doing some irregular PbP on the campaign website to keep the game moving at a steady pace. Character background and creation requirements-
If you are interested you do not need to do a full character sheet at this time. I would rather have some creative character design information. The game mechanics can be hashed out after we agree your character will work well in the campaign. I also have a short discussion for the players who join the campaign about any house rules we want to play. My campaign Obsidian Portal page can be located at Kingmaker Online For information about d20Pro check out d20Pro Game Table Thanks for checking out my game! If you have any questions please contact me here or on my campaign site.
Just seeing if anyone is looking to start an online group. Specifically, I am looking to play Serpents Skull AP via a virtual tabletop during the weekend. I would be able to do PbP, but would prefer the speed of VTT. Anyone else looking to play this AP? Perhaps if we get a group ready a DM will magically appear from the heavens...
I'm getting the ball rolling on a Kingmaker PbP/Maptools hybrid campaign and am looking for 3-5 more players. PbP will be hosted on dndgamesonline.com and Maptools portion will be approx. every other Sunday around 9ish CST/10ish EST I am looking to have the game be primarily PbP with Maptools being used to help speed up certain scenes and keep the group more engaged with the campaign. If you are interested please check out the recruitment thread on Thanks for taking a look!
If the monsters are living creatures then yes it would. Look at the feat Selective Channeling to get around that. sixdsixdamage wrote:
I see the targeting a creature type in the next paragraph is what I was missing thanks! Charender wrote:
A player of mine asked how the evil cleric was healing undead and dealing damage to things caught in his energy burst. He mentioned that the use of the word "or" in the channel energy rules dictated that the cleric could do one or the other but not both. That sounded wrong to me since the ability is a burst effect and anyone caught would be effected (healed if undead, harmed if living). After reading it a couple times I am not sure what to think though. Heres the PRSRD rules text A good cleric (or a neutral cleric who worships a good deity) channels positive energy and can choose to deal damage to undead creatures or to heal living creatures. An evil cleric (or a neutral cleric who worships an evil deity) channels negative energy and can choose to deal damage to living creatures or to heal undead creatures.
Sunday January 10th Fanfare Sports and Entertainment will be host to the first Pathfinder Society module, Silent Tide. This is a great opportunity for anyone in the southwest Michigan area to come give Pathfinder a go. If there is anyone interested in Pathfinder in the Southwest Michigan area, but you have already played Silent Tide, please send me a PM with a suggestion for which module you would like to see @ Fanfare. Is there a Pathfinder feat/ability that allows a fighter to give an opponent a negative modifier if they choice to target someone other than the fighter? I'm not seeing anything core and searching the forum is leaving me empty handed. Can anyone tell me what product to look for for something like this?
Trying to work out a vitality/wounds system for my upcoming campaign. I based it on the Unearthed Arcana variant. Wound Points (WP)- Spoiler:
Hit points from the first hit die are treated as WP. Once a character takes even a single point of wound damage they are fatigued. Additional wound damage will not cause the character to be exhausted but other effects that cause fatigue will. A short rest or any magical healing will end this effect. I'm tinkering with the idea of Toughness style feats counting as additional WP. Vitality Points (VP)- Spoiler:
All hit die beyond the first are treated as VP. Once VP reach 0 damage is subtracted from WP. Bonus hit points from favored class and magical effects are treated as VP. Critical hits - Spoiler:
Critical hits are rolled normally and applied as regular damage. Critical hits also deal 1d6+(Weapon Critical Multiplier) bonus damage which is applied directly to WP. (I'm thinking of making the bonus damage a single die of the same type that the weapon deals or scaling somehow for weapon size.) Healing - Spoiler:
Any component of magical healing that is a variable effect is applied to VP only. Any static bonus based on caster level can be split between WP and VP.
Natural healing occurs at the rate of 1 WP per full night's rest and 1 VP per character level per full night's rest. This can be doubled with the use of the Heal skill. Anything not listed will be as the core rules. Please let me know what you think and offer any suggestions. |
