My home group opted for Extinction Curse AP
we did our character building with the intention of having performers first(at least I did)

I built a Dex balanced Sheyln Cleric (Warpriest)
thinking in the circus I'd be a vaulter, pole acrobat and be able to balance out with Healing spells and helpful focus spells in the off play

After 2 chapters of play, it became CLEAR the AP is just like a typical Society series of missions. My unoptimized thematic Cleric sucked and whiffed on nearly all spell castings and medicine rolls, only because my Dex was balanced was I not summarily slaughtered in the first several turns.
The Druid, Monk and Sorceress all bested my in medicine, healing and religion checks

So
I'm looking for a collected list of Playable races INCLUDING boon granted, with notation as to that boons origin

Recommendation for useful characters in the live exploration extreme

So this is kind of a big deal
every time this gets run in my region, One of the VL’s or VA‘s always wants it run LIVE. and I’m not down for that
so this is the only time in the last two years I’ve been able to find a GM to run it straight at the table

Here’s my pinch
my two favorite characters are now out of tier. the current group signed up for the mission are 4 ranged striker soldier/operatives and an envoy “leader”

I would literally need to net deck a character build tonight so that I can have it ready and playable by tomorrow

suggestions?

the difference between Repeat scenarios and Replay scenarios

As I understand it (here's where I need help)
a player may Repeat a scenario, each time with a new character, careful not to spoil the mission for other players

A player May participate in a REPLAYABLE scenario more than once, meeting the requirements as necessary

Ex Ashes of Discovery
"Ashes of Discovery is a replayable scenario designed to help introduce players to what it's like to be a member of the Starfinder Society. With randomized mechanical and story elements, when you play this scenario, YOU'LL NEVER PLAY THE SAME SCENARIO TWICE." (emphasis mine)

So,
I got a Formian boon in trade, and suddenly I'm stumped on what to build!

I thought Solarian, but there seems to be a lot of missing links and setbacks to be useful

I think the obvious is soldier... but, boring and predictable....

Thoughts?

My home game group is starting up and I want to be the group Pilot.
I love the idea of a great big minotaur in the pilot seat and having some cow related humor involved.
Their innate ability to use maze technology and have a bonus to survival and piloting seems a no brainer
But
What class?

There will already be one, if not two soldiers in the group as well as a Solarian.
I was thinking either Envoy or Operative

Thoughts?

Can I choose a Race from Alien Archive or Pact Worlds

if Yes... what is the SFS legal List ?

I'm banking on the rest of my players playing Firefly like characters and I have Shepard Book

I'm building based on SFS, so no legacy species, but after going through the character build options,
I'm not seeing a lot of "wow, yeah, that's' shepard" in my results.

does the Samurai benifit from the Cavalier "Favored Class" bonuses?

Issues like Damage Reduction and ‘Resistances’ are starting to show up in combat

do bullets do “Slashing”, “Piercing”, “Bludgeoning”...other?
