Awgin returns the salute. He brushes as much dirt and dust from himself as he can before going to meet Captain Percival.

Awgin takes note of Heward's approach, but pretends not to, trying to eek out the last few moments of peace in his garden. The flimsy illusion is shattered once Heward speaks though. "I slept well I guess. And last night was pathetic." Awgin responds. Obviously not happy with their performance. "We bumbled around until we got lucky. If that thing had any skill we'd all be dead. But we're not and the bad guy was captured, so I guess that's something." He concedes. "We will have to do better, be better organized to take down the wizard."

Awgin wakes early in the mornning and goes to the roof. He enjoys a few moments of quiet in his burgeoning garden before the day begins in earnest.

I am.

After Awgin makes sure the vargouille is taken care of, he takes the time to douse himself with water to get the bulk of the grime off of himself before collapsing in his bunk.

I didn't realize what time it was.
"Let's get this thing locked up." Awgin resists giving the head monster a 'thump'.

A shop where we could purchase a cage or even a thick leather bag would do as well.

"That means a lot coming from you, Law-man. You were pretty good yourself."

"I did not do it to impress Captain Percival." Awgin snaps, though he does sit up straighter. "I was just trying to keep it from escaping. If this thing decided to flee we could not have chased it."

Awgin will find some covers or drapes or something to bag the head in until it can be properly contained. He won't be gentle and might even 'accidentally' punch him once or twice to help insure that he remains quiescent.

Awgin lashes out with his claws.

Claw:
to hit 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 damage 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Claw:
to hit 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 damage 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Wash, Rinse, Repeat
Grapple 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 5 + 4 = 27 Damage 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Apologies for the delay. I haven't had a dot in a while. I should have checked though.
Awgin grunts as he continues to wrestle the winged head.
Grapple 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 4 = 17 Damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Ready again.
Grapple 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

I know that I took the feat rather than the traits. It must have gotten lost when I switched to the Hero Lab sheet. I'll get that corrected, but I'm pretty sure it was a bonus to intimidate.
I included damage because that's the way I'm used to playing it. I didn't realize that the first roll does not also do damage. Oh well. Live and learn.

AC 15, T 12, FF 13; HP 13/24
Fort 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Fort 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

Awgin readies to grab at Sir Mital on his next attack run.
Grapple 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 Damage 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Awgin will Steal the javelin.
Steal 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Awgin will move to keep sight of Mital, but won't attack.

Well Awgin would be remiss if he let such an opportunity go past him. He charges.

Grapple: charge
to hit 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 2 = 9 damage 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

The dice hate me.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Awgin will indeed jump down to get as close as possible to the vargouille
Acrobatics 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

Awgin's plan was to do as I mentioned above. He'll continue around the balcony in hopes of getting the vargouille back in sight.

Cover? What kind of cover?
Awgin screams as he finally breaks the effect and leaps over the railing at the floating monster.

Grab 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 - cover + charge? damage 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
No save bonus is good enough to help me here.

Arrgh! I can't reach him and if I go around he'll only float somewhere else. I gotta get a ranged weapon too.

I don't think Heward has a crossbow yet. He hasn't had much time to get one.

Awgin goes around the top floor trying to get closer to Mital. (Double move to T64)

Thanks, Heward

Ref 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 2 = 20

In his haste to take down the monster, Awgin doesn't react to the statue bowling down the stairs, but Heward shoves him into the wall. Awgin manages to scramble along the wall for several feet on all fours using his claws to good effect. He continues up the stairway roaring as he goes.

Move action up the stairs, attack if I can.
Flail:
to hit 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Awgin hurries up the stairs. "Which room?" He growls out as he goes.

Sorry. I've been so busy helping with my family's annual picnic I hadn't realized we were back on.
While Heward has him down, Awgin takes away the man's weapon.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 1 + 2 = 15

Disarm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Awgin draws a dagger. "This probably won't work, but maybe enough damage has been done to the door." He tries to use the dagger to open the lock.
Disable Device 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 with whatever modifier the dm sees fit.
If that doesn't work, it's back to bashing the door in.

At the mention of the Captain, Awgin stops hitting on the door. "So what do you suggest fearless leader?"

Awgin doesn't stop working on the door. "Make up your mind already. You want to get in or not?"

Unless stopped, I'll continue down this path until there is no more door to open.
Someone did go around back right?"

I believe I'm now in the bash it in portion of the program.
Flail:
to hit 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

I have my lock pick in hand or should I call it a lock flail? Actually, I do have disable device. I just didn't think to use it.

Awgin returns to bashing in the door, though this time he uses his flail rather than his foot.

Flail:
to hit 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

So sorry. I thought I had posted here.
Awgin stops and looks at Heward like he doesn't understand what was said before backing from the door slowly.

"I would say that it's stupid to give him the initiative. We should rush in and take him down fast. Don't give it time to catch its bearing."
Awgin 'knocks' on the door by trying to kick it in 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15.

Awgin has his flail in hand and is the first through the door.

Awgin is too scared to ask, but if he's chosen, he'll kneel to receive her blessing.

Before going into the cathedral, Awgin tries to make himself presentable. He runs his fingers through his hair and straightens his clothes. Inside he walks as quietly as he can and speaks respectfully in whispers. Awgin gives a donation, then after seeing the work being done, gives a larger donation. He also stops at the shrine to offer prayers to the Reaper of the Dead. He is as timid as Heward or Laya has ever seen him be.

"At least it will be a starting point."

"Quit playing with that shiny before someone takes undue notice." Awgin snaps at Philip. "We can't wait for Wizzo. It has to be us that takes that thing down. Every victory we get makes not only makes us more friends in power, but also strengthens the power of our friends."

"I think you ask the wrong question. You should have asked what did he want. I think he wanted to size us up. To see if we are what he hopes us to be. To see if we are what Captain Percival has told him we are. You should have been here, Law-man. I hope you have a good excuse to give the Captain. But you know, no pressure."

"That was... weird. What now?"

"No one will worry you about your purse while we are here." Declares Awgin. "And about politics I know nothing. I'd rather keep it that way, though I get the feeling you're about to educate me some anyway."

Awgin orders drinks for the table. "If you don't drink, everyone will be able to tell you don't belong."

Intimidate 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Awgin responds with a hard stare.

Awgin rolls his eyes and lets out a heavy sigh before walking to the table and taking a seat.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
After stepping into the dive, Awgin slides to the side to minimize the amount of time he is silhouetted in the doorway as well as allowing his senses to better acclimate to the level of light inside. Awgin comes to the conclusion that he'd been in worse places, though none came immediately to mind.

"Appointment? With whom?" said Calatin, mind already working on his concoctions. "Oh, yes..." he remembers.

"Thank you for your watchfulness," he says to their 'escort' "But we are leaving the Bazaar now, so you may go about your other duties."

"Best be on with it then, Awgin. As I doubt you'd let me wander off back home on my own to start work in the laboratory."

"I don't really want to go, but, you know, official watch business. Wouldn't want the captain to get mad at us."

"If we are done here, Calatin, we have an appointment to keep."
