The Ebon Aspect could mature(but not be as powerful as the one in "Prince of Redhand" and be a final encounter in "A Gathering Of Winds". When the PCs return to town after getting the fragment of the Rod Of Seven Parts, they will probably wait to heal before heading off to Magepoint. Make magepoint in a direction so that the PCs pass by the mine when leaving town. As they pass by, The EA bursts out of the mine, having just killed all the miners and guards, and the PCs will probably realize their mistake and kill it now. As another option (do this only if your PCs emerge from the Whispering Cairn fairly healthy), have the aspect go on a rampage while the PCs are still in the Cairn, as Diamond Lake is no longer part of the campaign. Allustan could also have one of those really neat heroic death scenes, particularly if he's still wounded from his trip ro the Cairn.
I still don't knowa if my first apology post showed up (@#$% computer!), so i'll say it again: I have a very old computer.
Something interesting I thought of while reading this is to have a room with a statue that's apparently going to animate. The floor is very soft and spongy. The ceiling is very decorative, but with a large, plain patch in the center. A PC can make a spot check to notice scratches in this portion. When the PCs step on a certain pressure plate and think the statue is about to animate, the scratched portion of the ceiling slides away and the real (whatever the statue is of) drops into the room, the floor breaking its fall. Sadly, however, this trick can also be used only once.
while i like the adventure as is, it would have been a shame if POR had been complitely non-combative. Thank goodness for acidwraiths and advanced ebon aspects! ...or maybe evilness?
While i like the unusualness of the adventure, it would have been a shame if "Prince Of Redhand" had entirely excluded combat. Thank goodness for Acidwraiths and advanced Ebon Aspects! ...well, maybe not goodness...evilness?

(1) Invent a new one.
(2) I'd say yes, but it's your choice.
(3) If it can be incorporated into armor, no, but otherwise, I'd say yes.

just realized that Kyuss might not be as big when he manifests phisically(see The Quicksilver Hourglass adventure in issue 123)

That is a pretty obscure name you have. A long time ago, I lived in McAllen Texas, and gamed witha fella by the same name. This would not happen to be him, would it?
Pat
No. I've never lived in, or been to, texas.
As for the name, I don't know much about it. A friend from school once suggested it, and I thought it sounded catchy, so that's what I call my character.

I was just looking at the AOW art print, and is that Kyuss in the background? If so, what size category is he? Would colossal even cover it?

I wonder if there might be an opportunity to spread these visions out throughout the campaign in places holy to Kyuss or the Ebon Triad. Or if any character gets infected with a worm they have visions of Kyuss' past.
I Don't think Places holy to the Ebon Triad would work, as they're just being used by Kyuss's forces, but I guess it might work.
As for the Worm-Infection Idea, Great, but I think the vision should occur After the worm is removed from his/her body. Otherwise it's just too easy. Also, the XP award could also be for getting the worm out of the character's body.
With the reload time for non-repeating crossbows, is it even POSSIBLE to beat Zeech's Score?
Well the Obsidian ring came after Kyuss's apotheosis, so I really doubt it was made by the same druids, though if the druids defeated kyuss shortly before his apotheosis, it could be... I doubt it, though.
what about armor made by mixing silver with iron?
Lower AC, but...
Hagen wrote: Keep in mind that previous material on Kyuss is somewhat dated, written during 2nd edition. It's entirely possible that the folks at Paizo have decided to make several changes, such as his "trip" to the Amedio Jungle. I noticed a few other changes too:
His favored weapon now looks more like a mace, though im not sure if it really is one, because of that blade thing.
He underwent apotheosis at the spire of long shadows instead of the wormcrawl fissure, though i think it will still play an important part, as it will get its own adventure.
tell me if i missed anything!
