Extremely well written, it has a very open feel to it, with the PCs able to proceed with their investigation in anyway they choose. The culprit of the crime can change based on certain factors, which gives this a fresh feel no matter how many times you run it! And they fact that they are on a ship means the GM only has one map to contend with... and its a Flip Mat. The only weak point in this scenario is the idea that the PCs have traveled on this ship for five weeks and haven't already completed there faction missions or are unfamiliar with the ships layout and crew. This is easily fixed by having the PCs be the replacement team for the previous Pathfinders, but that does take a rewriting/revision to the introduction in Magnimar.

This scenario was written to be ROLEPLAYED, so be prepared. I for one consider that a refreshing change of pace from the combat heavy scenarios I've seen in the past. Properly prepared, a GM can make this easily an adventure to be remembered.

I highly recommend this one!

Pathfinder Society Scenario #2-13: Murder on the Throaty Mermaid (PFRPG) PDF

This is now one of my favorite scenarios to run, beaten only by Mists of Mwangi!
