BACKGROUND[spoiler]"hi, I'm Arkus. Arkus Balin. I'm 10 years old, aaaand I wanna be a hero when I grow up. Mom says heros get hurt and killed a lot, and wants me to be a healer 'nstead, so she taught me stuff about bandages and medicine. It's boring, but she says I'm good at it. But Dad thinks I might be strong enough, so he shows me how he makes armor and swords and stuff. If I can make my own sword and shield, maybe I can be a knight! Or a, whatsit called...Laddin? Palin? Can't member what its called. the guys who fight dragons and save princesses and stuff."

"I like doin stuff with the venturer's gild. We find treasures, look for weird animals, and explore the woods. We get a bruise or a scrape sometimes, but its ok. I try to help when somebody gets hurt, but it's usually no big deal. I want dad to make me a sword so I can practice with it, but he doesn't want me getting hurt or cutting anyone, so I just use branches I find that he carves into swords. They're only wood, but they're still swords! They break easy, though..."

"Just wish I could get the other kids to stop fighting so we could do some REAL venturing with our gild before I'm too big to come along anymore. I got real tall last year so I gotta hurry and figure out some way to get evrybody to help do something awesome, like save the town or somethin!"
