Ten minute:

1) Arenel has long strive to be seen independent of her father and the dealing of the Scarlet Skulls.
2) She takes great pride in her ability to merge both spell and weapon.
3)Never getting to know her mother has always been something that weights heavily on her.
4)The fact her magic comes naturally to her made her pick a weapon that would require more discipline to learn.
5) The weapon she settled on was not only for the fact it was an oddity, but also to distinguish herself as a different type a fighter then her father.

Two Goals:
She wishes to find her mother, if she still lives, and ask the many questions that have been in her mind for so long.

To step out of her father's shadow and be seen not as Anteki's daughter, but as a warrior in her own right.

Two Secrets:
One: Known
Her mother was someone Anteki loved, and while he tells those who have asked that Arenel's mother was just a whore, his dear daughter knows that to be untrue. For once, while her father was rather drunk he went on about how "She has your eyes love, and even your smile." Though she was never able to get a name out of him.

Two: Unknown
Arenel's mother was actually Mayor Worrin Lidu's wife! An affair between her and Anteki left her with child. After the babe was born, and while Anteki was away, she met up with the merc and gave him their daughter saying "She'd be better off with you, then with me and at the mercy of my husband."

Those known:
Tormagal Gred- Friendly
Tormagal was the man Anteki went to when trying to find an instructor for his daughter. Since many of her teachers where arena fighters, a young Arenel would sit along side Tormagal and speak from time to time. Through the years the dwarf would offer words of wisdom and explain things about the arena that most wouldn't know at first glance. As Arenel aged she came to see the dwarf as a second father and even began to call him Uncle Tor.

Anteki Alresian- Friendly - Father
Arenel's relationship with her father has always been an interesting thing from the outside looking in. Most see the two either arguing about the future for her or just being plan uninterested in one another. However behind closed doors is another matter. Anteki dotes on his daughter, even if they don't always agree, and loved her dearly as she reminds him of his lost love.

Leo Daigon- Unfriendly
One of the higher ranking member of the Scarlet Skulls whom Arenel has met on more then one occasion. This elven man, tall for even their standards, has had his eyes on the young Alresion every visit with in the past few years. His advances only got worse each time, to the point where Arenel is often out of the house when the officers come to visit her father. though one afternoon, Leo cornered the young Alresion. While an argument did ensue the main statement anyone really heard was Leo state "You can't play hard to get forever." and the retort of "Lay one finger on me Leo, and I'll not only remove it, but also what allows you to call yourself a man!" tension between the two has been high ever since. With Leo giving Arenel glares only to be answered by dagger like glares from Arenel.

Shadows of the Past:
Arenel let out a cry of pain as the arena cleric set her broken nose. "There see? All done." He said as he stood up and moved so Tormagal could come through. "You're lucky Khan-Mol went foreword with restraint kid! Had that been a real whip and this match would have been your last!" The dwarf laughed as he patted the young girl on the shoulder.
"I tried to block it! Honest... I did... but it just jumped up from my block..." Arenel said as she wiped the blood from her nose away with her hand. Though it only added to the blood already there, making the dwarf sigh.
"Come on, lets get you cleaned up before your father gets here and thinks I've been letting you in the fights." Tormagal said with a smile as he got the poor girl up off the floor.
"Hey Uncle Tor, does that mean when I get good enough you'll put me in the arena?" She asked with a smile.
"No"
"What if I get good and am old enough?"
"No"
"Why not?!" Arenel huffed.
"Because I like my head where it is! I don't need your father, or any of his band, removing it."

Arenel yawned as she pushed the door of her father's study open. She looked around for him, expecting him to be at his desk like always when she came to say good night, yet he was missing... then she heard something his the floor and noticed her father sitting in the chair facing the fire, arm over the side and an empty wine bottle just under it on the floor.
"Oh you gotta be kidding me..." She sighed as she walked over. "Dad... Dad," She began but stopped when she heard Anteki talking in his sleep.
"Knew... she'd look like you. She has your eyes love... and look at her smile. It's all you." He mumbled.
Arenel's breath stuck in her throat as she listened to his words. Love? He had always told people that her mother had been a whore, who left her on his door step soon after her birth. She knelt next to her father, knee knocking the bottle which sent it rolling into the foot of the chair. It wasn't much louder then her words had been, but it seemed to be enough to wake the old merc up. His eyes snapped open and his head quickly turned and looked at his daughter. "Aren? Sweetheart what are you still doing up?" He asked as he stood.
Arenel slowly stood giving her father a small smile. "I came to say good night father..." She answered. "But you where already out... I didn't mean to wake you."
He looked at her, the look in his eyes a mixture of sadness and understanding. He pulled the fourteen year old close to him, hugging her tightly. "I'm sorry sweetheart, I lost a good friend today... I guess I just drank a bit too much." He told her.
Arenel wrapped her arms around him, and took the chance to look over his shoulder to see three other wine bottles... he was smashed. She pulled away just enough to turn him and help him out of the study to his bedroom. "I'm sorry to hear that dad..." She told him as she opened his door and helped him lay on his bed. She kissed his cheek and said "But you still have me." She told him trying to help, then she turned and closed his door behind her as she headed for her own room.

"Arenel! Oh Arenel!" A slick voice called as the woman moved through the crowd, ignoring him. She turned to dart down narrow street only to be knocked into the side of the building by a tall elven man with dark midnight black hair and deep purple eyes. The lack of puples sent a shiver up Arenel's back as she turned her head to the side. "Leo, remove yourself from my personal space." She hissed between her teeth as she tried to slide away, only for him to put his hands on either side of her. "Dear Arenel, how long are we going to play this game?" He whispered to her with a smirk as creepy as he was. "You can't keep playing hard to get forever." He told her as he began to lean closer. Arenel's head quickly snapped back to face him, her eyes staring him down ."Leo, if you lay even one finger upon me, I will not only remove the finger, but also the thing that allows you to call yourself a man!" She told him directly before she ducked under his arm and continued her way. Leo watched her go, unbeknownst to her, a smirk upon his lips and hard glares from his eye.

The person that is Arenel:

1) look like?
Arenel is a dark skinned woman who stands about 5'8" with dark black hair yet light violet eyes. Built like any young warrior, muscled but not enough to seem overly strong. Tattoos mark up her left arm in a nicely done sleeve with the phases of the moons at the top followed by a wolf's head in a howling pose that slowly bleeds down into a picture of a forest then the sea.
2) wear when adventuring?
Arenel normally wears light studded armor, thanks to her father, with dark green pants. Her belt is made of black leather and always has her whip handing from it.
3) wear when not adventuring?
If there is nothing to attend to Arenel is often see wearing a low cut sleeveless dark blue blouse with black pants and black boots. If she has to go somewhere with her father or is trying to impress, Arenel dresses the part. Wearing a dress, often of green, red, or black, that flatters her form and calls attention away from her muscled physique.
4) do to relax?
That depends upon what she is relaxing from. If Arenel is trying to get away from her father, then she locks her room and climbs out the window, going to the taverns down at the docks to listen to sailors stories of far off places.
To let off steam she often returns to the arena and spars against her old teachers. Though this doesn't always go as planned and she ends up talking to Uncle Tor.
5) do for entertainment?
Arenel enjoys card games above all else, but a good drink and fun company are a great substitute.
