Ar’dreth was born into a stern, law abiding family of the Elven courts. Raised primarily by his father Sin’doren, Ar’dreth was never allowed to be a child. When he was twenty (young in Elf years) his mother Ver’sira, a court magician, was researching a very powerful spell which backfired and destroyed the whole west wing of Dessil Castle in Kyonin. Since that fateful day Sin’doren never let Ar’dreth roam to far or study "foul magic". When Ar’dreth turned fifty he snuck out and went to Dessil and begged the new court magician Ferisil to let him study with him without his fathers knowledge. Ferisil finally accepted Ar’dreth on the terms that he never research the spell that took his mother’s life. Ar’dreth agreed knowing that one day he would strike out on his own and he could do as he pleased. Ar’dreth left every morning and lied to his father that he was going to the academy to study, luckily Sin’doren mostly cared only for himself. Seeing great potential in Ar'dreth Ferisil set up a meeting for Ar'dreth and the Pathfinder Society. Ar'dreth has been a exceptional member ever since, even if it is for his own personal gain. Now stationed in the Magnimar inn by the Pathfinders, Ar'dreth contemplates where he will be going next and what arcane treasures lay in wait. Ar'dreth can be found at the Stone of the Seers in Magnimar and every so often at the Twilight Academy, the new arcane college in Galduria.

Ar'dreth looks like a typical elf of average build with black hair a little past his shoulders. The only feature that makes him stand out is his pure sapphire blue eyes which contain no pupil or whites. Some say his sometimes cold demeanor is accentuated by this feature. Ar'dreth will sometimes recite a short prayer to Yuelral and Nethys before preparing his spells for the day.
