4 Skill Points per Level (house rule)
Bravery (Ex): Starting at 2nd level, a fighter gains a +1 bonus on Will saves against fear. This bonus increases by +1 for every four levels beyond 2nd.
Armor Training (Ex): Starting at 3rd level, a fighter learns to be more manoeuvrable while wearing armor. Whenever he is wearing armor, he reduces the armor check penalty by 1 (to a minimum of 0) and increases the maximum Dexterity bonus allowed by his armor by 1. Every four levels thereafter (7th, 11th, and 15th), these bonuses increase by +1 each time, to a maximum –4 reduction of the armor check penalty and a +4 increase of the maximum Dexterity bonus allowed.
In addition, a fighter can also move at his normal speed while wearing medium armor. At 7th level, a fighter can move at his normal speed while wearing heavy armor.

Weapon Training (Ex): tarting at 5th level, a fighter can select one group of weapons, as noted below. Whenever he attacks with a weapon from this group, he gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls.
Every four levels thereafter (9th, 13th, and 17th), a fighter becomes further trained in another group of weapons. He gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls when using a weapon from this group. In addition, the bonuses granted by previous weapon groups increase by +1 each. For example, when a fighter reaches 9th level, he receives a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with one weapon group and a +2 bonus on attack and damage rolls with the weapon group selected at 5th level. Bonuses granted from overlapping groups do not stack. Take the highest bonus granted for a weapon if it resides in two or more groups.
A fighter also adds this bonus to any combat maneuver checks made with weapons from this group. This bonus also applies to the fighter's Combat Maneuver Defense when defending against disarm and sunder attempts made against weapons from this group.

CONTACTS:

Spoiler:

Amella Venkalie, a slight but powerful woman with fine blond hair. A thin scare graces her right cheek and she seems to Ardanto a foul-mouth but very competent sailor who swears in several languages and with gusto , even a few unknown to Ardanto. (Employed as Arandto's first mate on the Sea Wyvern.

Master Kring of the Merchant guild on Bronze street, an elderly shifter, his long sideburns Grey and dark. He is dressed in expensive shirt with a silk doublet. A monocle sits in his eye. (Ardanto has used him to invest cargo and now seeks to work as one of his ships captains).

Brangons Smiggles, A gnome with a limp, Master Krings major Domo.

Rowyn, A woman with red hair, on one shoulder is a tattoo of a dragon, on the other a lotus. Rowyn is a nobles daughter and was possessed by the "things" that take over peoples minds. She is now free of their infection (?) (A potential love interest?)

Lavinia, an attractive human woman wearing a long, flowing blue dress. (our employer, Ardanto now actually believes she is legit and trusts her implicitly).

Liamae, (Dead) a human woman in purple robes with s crest moon tattoo on one cheek. She is not as sure of herself, or her power as she used to be. She is a person that seems to pay a great deal of attention and put meaning in signs, and omens. She seems to have taken a real interest in Ardanto, as he put himself in harms way for her , when her magic failed her. She also seems to have an interest in the sea and sailing from what little time you have spent with her that much you can tell.

History (or how I got here)

Spoiler:

When the beautiful and exotic Celestine, darling of the Sasserine Stage and Theatre, became pregnant out of wedlock, the scandal derailed her blossoming career. That she refused to be draw on whom the father was only deepened the dishonour, many suspected that the missing parent was none other than the already married Lord of Lidu Manor. Celestine’s’ denials fell on the deaf ears of those who rejoice in tittle-tattle.
She gave birth to a healthy bouncing baby boy in the height of a terrible thunder storm and named him Jacob Vanderzee. Celestine returned to the world of theatre to provide a living for them both, but this time she worked behind the scenes away from the public eye. She is a much loved part of the backstage crew and can still turn the eye of many a man, even as middle age nibbles at her youthful beauty. Having never remarried, Celestine has befriended several men, of other non-human race, to give Jacob enough male role models in his life who will not be distracted with pursuing a relationship with her.
Jacob spent his formative years surrounded by costumes and greasepaint so it came as no surprise that he grew up into a talented young Actor. That he shares his mother’s good looks, a charming singing voice and a fine athletic physique has not gone unnoticed in his rapid climb up the theatrical ladder. Several supporting roles in the last few years led him to be offered the leading role in a new musical production entitled “Salacious Scallywag – Part one of The Marvellous Misadventures of Ardanto Valanto”. The play revolves around the exploits of the title hero and his many quests and risqué conquests on the high seas as he races against time to beat his arch rival “Captain One-Eye” to a mysterious treasure held in the belly of a volcano. Jacob threw him self into rehearsals with great gusto, going above and beyond the roles requirements. He has spent his off time learning how to sail and pilot ships from his family friend Maklash Gristwhistle, the Obese and almost maniacally cheerful Dwarf who runs the Dredgers Guild charged with keeping the waterways of Sasserine clear. He has also studied sword play with several of the aspiring gladiators in return for acting lessons to win over the crowd. Misspent time in some of the bawdier sea side taverns expanded his vocabulary and opened his eyes to the wonders of gambling, drinking and merry making.
The play opened to critical acclaim several weeks ago and has been sold out most nights since, Jacob has become something of a star in the theatre going circle and his rapid rise to fame has ruffled a few feathers.
Disaster struck in front of a packed out matinee audience, during a scene involving a climatic sea battle, a counter weight sand bag high in the roof rafters, whether by accident or nefarious design, came free from it’s rope. It fell with great force catching Jacob cleanly on the head and driving him into the stage floor. The blow left Jacob unconscious and in a coma and it took the power of the gods channelled by priests to mend his broken body. Unfortunately the mind is not so easily fixed and during the blunt force trauma something in Jacob’s skull got damaged. Jacob woke up fully believing he was Ardanto Valanto the Salacious Scallywag.
Despite the priests reassurances to Celestine and his worried friends that time will heal any wound Ardanto (as he now insists he is) has taken to his new life with gusto, living the life of a Salacious Scallywag. His actions are met with various reactions, his friends and acquaintances have learnt to go a long with the flow, strangers find them selves meeting a charming rogue and theatre lovers believe that he is the ultimate method actor.
Ardanto is highly flattered that his exploits warrant a play and is keen to press on with his life of adventure.

Personality and appearance (or who am I)

Spoiler:

Ardanto is a larger than life swashbuckling pirate, full of dramatic exclamations and sweeping gestures, he lives life to the full, believing that there will always be another coin to spend or adventure to pursue. He makes friends easily with his contagious laugh and generous purse, has an eye for the ladies and is fond of bursting into song at the most inappropriate times. Quick to laugh, calm in the face of danger and full of confidence, Ardanto would be the ideal adventure if his skills matched his belief in his ability. And that is his weakness, Ardanto is not as quick of mind or fleet of foot as he believes, he is not the best swordsman on the eastern seas and his treasure simple does not exist. Still his mind is adaptive and will make great leaps of faith to cover gaps in his knowledge or short comings in his logic.
(Jacob meanwhile was a quite spoken, but carefree young man embarking on the start of his life, he was a true friend to those he loved and honest to a fault. Naïve to his own good looks and a little shy when not in character.

At 6’2” with a handsome face, strong jaw line and twinkling green eyes Ardanto/Jacob is a fine figure of a man. He is not the most handsome man you will ever meet, but he is certainly a good alternative if that one is not available. As Ardanto he is wearing his hair longer and has grown a small goatee beard.

He dresses in tight form fitting pants, knee length boots and a frilled shirt with the top few buttons strategically left open. Most of the time this is an illusion as he is wearing glammered armour.
