Plot is a bit thin, but a great product nonetheless!

I had a blast playing in PF2's first one-shot. Admittedly, the plot doesn't make a ton of sense, but it's a small price to pay. The strongest part of this product by far is the care put into each of the pregenerated characters. The way their backstories are thoughtfully constructed and excellently intertwined with the premise of the adventure. At a table of four complete strangers, everyone's characters still felt like they were old friends (or at least old coworkers). It was brilliantly executed.

Plot-based stuff:

My biggest complaint (and the reason it's a 4-star and not a 5-star) is that Renlock comes off from the backstory and the premise as this very friendly guy, who clearly is supposed to care about these crewmates (they are the only four of his entire crew that he decides to set up for life, after all) but he makes them fight a giant skeleton to the death? I mean, that thing very nearly TPK'ed us and it didn't even roll all that well. It strains credulity to be sure.

However, at the end of the day, it wasn't enough to ruin the story or our fun.

I really hope we see the pregens used again, because they were brilliantly put together! You will not regret playing this adventure, I promise.
