Background:
Aoros was born and raised on the infamous isle of the red mantis assassins, Mediogalti. Never knowing his father, all he knew were stories of who he was. A true man of the sea, he was a great swimmer, better fishermen, and a master with a shortspear. His end was as much of a mystery as his past, one day he went out fishing at sea only to never return. Many say such a man would not fall to the sea, he was loved by it too much for that. No they spoke of some misfortune or abandonment of his lover not wanting to be burdened by a child. Yet a few whispers spoken rarely and dismissed quickly was that he had not been a man at all. He had been something more, something blessed by the waters, something that held power over the waves and those dwelling with in it. Growing up some what wild Aoros spent his time in the seedier sections of Ilizmagorti, mostly where pirates were common. Joining a kid gang as they were known he spent many nights relieving drunken pirates and merchants of their heavy coin. His strangely good night vision aided them a great deal. As did his ability to jump into freezing night time water without ill effect. But like many things when you are young he out grew the gang and its activities. Yet he still held a great interest in pirates, one crew made of mostly Varisian's out of Riddleport in particular. He even became an apprentice to a retired pirate hailing from Varisian. It was from this old pirate that he learned the art of tattooing, as well as the ways of a seasoned pirate to size up people and charm them. Yet another gift of his mentor were the teachings of Nethys the all seeing. It was only after he embraced Nethys that his sorcererous powers manafisted, his mentor took this as a sign of greater things for Aoros. Knowing that their was much in the world to see and learn from, he left Ilizmagorti. Using his art as a means of income he made his way to Port Peril.
