(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu ducks back down and quickly wipes his knife clean on the corpse's pants as well. Glancing back over at Jon Simon...

"Its probably time to g....oh s*!~!" he says, seeing Dahlia and noticing her bag.

"After her! She arranged it to steal from the exhibit! That bi^$h!"

Anu starts running immediately after her, aiming to climb the fence.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu watches the flaming man...his eyes distant. Looking back at Jon he says,

"You're not police are you?"

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu's hand shifts on the wallet, trying not to leave finger-prints...

Spoiler:
Using sleight of hand Anu uses his non-bloody hand to pocket any cash in the wallet before dropping it.

To Jon he says "Two extra clips here." pointing.

He sets the knife down beside the corpse, wiping his hand on the body's pants before slowly standing up from the corpse.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

"They went into the Museum!" Anu yells at them, kneeling down to search the man for his wallet, valuables, other weapons, etc. Anu keeps his hands away from the man's gun so as not to spook the gun wielding men coming up the street.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu staggers back slightly from the kick...narrowing his eyes at the thug. His eyes blazing, he charges forward, driving the knife toward the man's heart.

Stab attempt again. Spending 1 willpower as well on the attempt.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

No longer even thinking, Anu tries to bring his opponent down as quickly as possible. He lunges forward, shifting his grip on the knife, trying for something vital!

Stab attempt

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu freezes for a moment in indecision...then he realizes how many people are likely dead within the museum and how close he himself was to being gunned down. Was it sheer chance he'd wandered out...or Nanapesa's urgings? He didn't know for sure. Here there was though, right before him, a chance to balance the scales. Tightening his grip on the knife and keeping it hidden in a backward grip, Anu springs forward, moving low and as quietly as possible.

Anu is spending a Willpower point to use Stealth to sneak up on the gunman and intends to stab him in the ribs (left side, where the knife is).

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu stays low, peeking around the corner, watching to see wat the driver of the van does, hoping he hasn't been seen. Surreptitiously, he pulls his small knife, palming it out of sight.

He then waits for the right moment.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Any interest Anu had in seeing what happened disappeared the moment the thugs veered away from the Cafe he'd thought they were about to hit. Seeing the van arcing down the street in his direction and the men opening fire on the museum, he leaps around the corner and ducks low.

"Nanapesa atukkuchai! [spoiler]Nanapesa, (the Great Spirit of the Choctaw) protect us/me. [spoiler]

Glancing about furtively, Anu notes the presence and actions of the two men from the cafe.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

His eyes widening at the actions of the man(men) in the van, Anu steps back, trying to look nonchalant, moving to the far side of the Museum stairs.
(if I am visualizing this properly, otherwise the corner of the building)

"This definitely does not look good..." Anu begins thinking furiously about the events of the last minute or so, while lighting another smoke.
"Where could she have gone so fast?" he asks the Miami evening.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

"What the fu--...?" Anu says, dropping his smoke.

Making a snap decision, he hurries down the steps after her, trying to keep his boots from making too much noise on the sidewalk. Something is going on here, and Anu is getting more curious by the minute.

"...First that damned tingle..now this lady...what's going on tonight?" he mutter under his breath as he follows.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu watches her go, shrugging after she's left the room.

"Oh well, time to go."

Getting up from the seat, Anu heads back into the lobby and into the evening beyond, lighting a cigarette as he goes.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu nods at her comment concerning the find.

"Well, thank you. I won't pretend to really know much about this stuff. Being Indian I just can't help but be curious about civilizations from around here."

While gesturing down at himself..."Notice my lack of compliance with the apparent dress-code. A trip to a Museum auction wasn't in my itinerary for the day. I just couldn't help but come in and take a look though."

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu smiles at her a bit more broadly.

"I wasn't going to be the one to suggest Atlantean...but from around the time of Spanish..that is interesting. Any ties to known cultures in the area or is this some kind of new find?"

Extending his hand, "My name is Anuskasha Whitefeather...though I'd prefer you call me Anu. And you are..? Aside from being ohoyo aiukli anuka."

Spoiler:
Choctaw Translation: "Most beautiful woman in the room" essentially. Hes seeing if she has language skills.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu smirks, shrugs and makes his way over to near where she is in the rearmost row. He takes a seat a few down from hers (like 2-3).

Once seated, Anu listens to the auction a moment to hear whats being auctioned off at the moment, then turns to 'Dahlia'.

"This whole auction certainly seems to be an interesting find...I just wonder how long someone before someone shouting 'Atlantis' shows up."

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu smiles happily at the guard.

"Thanks for your help. It sure sounds interesting...maybe Mr. Ferrano discovered Atlantean ruins or something...history could be being made."

Taking a pen, Anu proceeds to sign the register in a scrawl..signing the name John Whitefeather. With a final nod to the security guard, Anu heads over to the doors leading into the auction hall and ducks in, looking for an available seat at the back.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Shrugging and saying "What can it hurt...", Anu mounts the steps and heads up to the doors of the Museum and opens the door. Stepping in out of the heat, Anu smiles broadly at the guard station and heads over.

"Sorry to intrude, I'm not sure if tonight's showing is open to the public or not. With the circus outside though, I just had to ask. What is the big exhibit thats drawing so much attention?"

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu flicks down his cigarette, scuffing it out with his boot, considering going over to that Caciques place.

"I wonder if they have beer?" Anu says rhetorically.

"Museum security would probably stop me if I tried anyway." Anu says as he glances over at the Museum entry and the galleries beyond. He slowly walks to the base of the stairs leading up to the entryway, trying for a better view, perhaps to see what the exhibitions are supposed to be.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu's casual, laid back attitude immediate shifts to a terse stance. His brows knit together in irritation and puzzlement.

"Why now of all damn times..."

Anu shakes his head briefly as he watches Ferrano emerge from the limousine. Sinking suspicions flitting through his mind, Anu glances back over at the woman, trying to see what she's about.

"If nothing...then maybe we'll see about a drink." Anu says under his breath.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu quirks an eyebrow at the woman's look, flashing her a roguish grin as he nears the other side of the street. He moves across the sidewalk to the wall of the building and leans against it, gazing toward the Museum front and the woman, while lighting a smoke. All the while trying to determine if he's ever seen her before or just what she might be 'looking' for.

My intended location is probably about 10-12 feet from the edge of the crowd, so a bit farther from it than she is. Anu is waiting to watch her response to his actions and if he can glean anything before acting further.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Spoiler:
Fatespinner, I check around for anyone who might appear drunk or unawares near the edge of the crowd...someone ripe for a pickpocketing, perhaps?

Also, are there any regularly dressed folks near the crowd? If so, how close? Give me a bit more info, please.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Anu eyes the crowd of the iskvli okla and their hangers-on and grins. There are definitely going to be some gullible and charitable people amongst them. Anu looks for a good spot to set up near the crowd, shuffling his cards in one hand. While he's at it, Anu tries to make out if there are any signs for this Museum function.

Just so you know Fatespinner, I found an online English-Choctaw Dictionary. "iskvli okla" means: Money People, i.e. Rich People. Note that syntax will likely be horrible...as I don't have any idea how the language is structured.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Ready to go.

(Male Choctaw Indian of the Jena Band)

Time to work on the character.

For Fate:

Spoiler:

Basically I am creating a latent talent for a character. Currently his psychic/hedge magic is pretty much nil, except his Unseen Sense. I would personally like to see some 'inflicting' of the supernatural on him eventually. Unless we decide to go with something else as time progresses, my hope would take the 'Shaman' path under Thaumaturges in Second Sight. Or if things lead that way, towards Mage.

Thought I'd give you that info.
