"I don't think I'd be a good friend if I didn't at least learn what to call people you know." Midori shakes her head, but decides not to press the point any more. "You are more likely to meet Tanaka-senpai's family, given your brother." She takes some time to think about that a little bit. "Actually maybe you're best off being as respectful as possible around the Akuma." she says soberly, nodding to herself. Anthony rather noticeably jumped at the butterfly explosion. Even at Avalon some things were still surprises!
"Oh, uh.. Yeah, probably. Wait, are they Tanaka or Akuma?"
Midori Tsuyomi wrote: Midori smiles at him while shaking her head. "You do not need to use honourifics, Dacamara-senpai. I just do not want to fall out of practice. It would not go over well at home. Thank you for thinking of me though." she beams at him. ^.^

Illithia wrote: A shorter-than-average halfling swaggers her way into tbe competition room, red tattoos spidered all over her skin in seemingly random patterns. She looks around a waves at a mock crowd, flexing a little for them. As she flexes, her muscles seem to grow to a somewhat ridiculous size!
"Awww yeah! Make way for the pain train gang! Gang of one!"
"...oh, I think I am going to end up with some new fractures before this is all over." Anthony murmurs nervously as he watches the halfling's appearance shift.
"Oh, Tsuyomi... san? Is that the right one? I tried reading up on the right things to say but they are a bit confusing still." He explains, looking a little embarrassed.[ "Yeah, I'm here to give it a shot. After that talent show I thought I could put all that other stuff I learned back home to use too."
::And hello to you too.:: He 'says' to the other contestant. He had gotten used to telepathy. It seemed really common here at Avalon and he had to admit sometimes it was pretty useful. When someone with it started the conversation anyway.
Anthony walked into the competitors area feeling confident. He'd grown up brachiating in his forest home, so he was sure whatever the games were he could do well. He might not win, necessarily, but it was going to be fun.
Midori Tsuyomi wrote: Midori reaches Dacamara-senpai's branch just as he leaps away. She grumbles in a kitty-voice. The whistle had to be blowing soon, all she had to do was keep their best archer focused on her. And maybe that meant sacrificing herself to buy some time. All that matters is the mission.
To that end, Midori charges down the branch and jumps towards Dacamara-senpai, sailing through the air directly at him, but now with no way to dodge or manuveur incoming arrows. He HAD to focus on her now. Hopefully there were other team members still alive to finish the win...
Anthony did his best to get away, but he was not as fast as a large feline and when he looked back and saw her he swore he swung his bow back like a club to try and swat Midori away.
Midori Tsuyomi wrote: Anthony Dacamara wrote:
An arrow streaked by her and struck a tree ahead, bouncing off harmlessly but leaving a small cloud of chalk in the air.
"Here, Kitty kitty kitty!" Anthony's calls out from the direction the arrow came,
Midori quickly puffs a breath out from her nose to prevent herself from breathing in any of the chalk. Dacamara-senpai was clearly one of the best archers on the other team, and she just had to survive a little longer. She glances around to see how many of her team were still left. If she could keep his attention long enough for her teammates to survive, they could win!
Midori meows loudly back at her attacker, and charges out of cover towards the tree he last fired from and climbs in a spiral pattern, trying to use the trunk itself as cover. She just had to get close to make it hard to aim. "Oh rot." Anthony swore as he saw the feline coming up the try after him. He pushed away from the trunk and and ran along a branch briefly before jumping, barely making it to another tree and dropping down hurriedly.
Midori Tsuyomi wrote: Agarthian Storyteller wrote: A few others nearby laugh at the retreating archer, but Anthony seems suspiciously absent of the group. On the other hand, this is a forest after all, and he grew up in one.... Midori would've blushed in embarassment if she was not currently a cat, her feigned attacks no likely no longer effective, Midori once again returned to evasion. Climbing a tree again would leave her predictable and open to attack, so instead she decided to make for a small patch of undergrowth nearby. The hope was that the brush would disrupt the arrows enough to burst before they made contact with her. An arrow streaked by her and struck a tree ahead, bouncing off harmlessly but leaving a small cloud of chalk in the air.
"Here, Kitty kitty kitty!" Anthony's calls out from the direction the arrow came,

Up in one of the free-training gym areas Anthony was playing a very... interesting game of tag. One team, polymorphed into animals with various numbers on them, darted around the playing field while the other team chased after them and fired at them with arrows. Luckily for the animal team the arrows were tipped by large cloth spheres filled with colored chalk dust so there could be no mistaking if an arrow hit or not.
I won't say way, but there's a cookie up for grabs with this post.

So who wants to bet on how long the WoM will survive the wrath of Jiminy? ;P
Hey, I'm the guy that handles the betting around here! :p
"You aren't turning Nova into silly-putty!"
Kitty Tanaka wrote: "I said I was sorry about the throwing stars...and we've talked about the importance of knocking instead of just bursting in when we're...studying. I was startled. I didn't mean to hit your hand. And they were able to fix it right up....and I'm not a shinobi anymore. So you don't have to worry about poison from me," she teased. "Hey, I knocked! Not my fault you two were snagging and not paying attention! And I keep finding those stars in my headboard when I wake up, so I know they're still being thrown at me!"
Kitty Tanaka wrote: Michael Dacamara wrote: Michael had stepped 'out' for a moment and returned with Anthony and their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Dacamara thank Kitty for the meal and start to eat, while Anthony pokes at the fish like it's trapped.
"Thanks, Kitty, it's pretty good." Kitty giggled. "Anthony-kun, it's alright if you don't like sushi. There's plenty of soup if you prefer that instead." "Michael dragged me back here saying we're going to meet your family and that lunch is sorta like practice. Sorry if I'm suspicious of poison from a ninja and from Michael."
"Not that I think you'd hurt me. Badly."
Instead of the visual of fire, it's light. Does fire dame, might catch stuff on fire, etc. sort of like using the sun and a magnifying glass.
It actually makes me weaker, but the stuff he's done before makes mire sense, I think, this way.
1 person marked this as a favorite.

Right now it's Rogue(Sniper).
So, weird thought, but I'm thinking of switching soul bolt over to 'light'(fire)bender. Thoughts?
Repp, the Bleached wrote: Anthony Dacamara wrote: "Some fairly interesting things I plan to keep secret, if it's all the same." That earns Anthony a raised eye from Repp, but the gnome says no more on the issue, instead preparing to follow along with Anthony and eager to learn a bit more about the school.
We can fade here if you want DB3, up to you. Tours aren't exactly the most exciting things ;D Sure thing.
Repp, the Bleached wrote: Anthony Dacamara wrote: "Well, I guess I could show you around, point out the people I know stuff about." He shrugs. "For a magic school, it's hard to entertain yourself. So I listen and watch and get tutored by Chet the goblin." "That sounds excellent Anthony." Repp says graciously, though his curiosity is clearly not sated, and he asks. "I'm sure there's plenty of ways to stay entertained here, but for now... what does Chet the goblin teach you?" "Some fairly interesting things I plan to keep secret, if it's all the same."

"So, what is your plan for the remainder of the day?" the gnome asks conversationally while returning to his meal. "Nothing, really. Why?" "I'm still pretty new here and trying to get a sense of how people pass their time. Myself, I like talking to people. Anyone and everyone. They're all so subtly unique. It's fascinating." he says casually, eating somewhat uncouthly - not overly concerned if he was chewing at the moment, and carrying on with the conversation. "Well, I guess I could show you around, point out the people I know stuff about." He shrugs. "For a magic school, it's hard to entertain yourself. Repp, the Bleached wrote: Anthony Dacamara wrote: "Oh. Yeah, that's far..." He concentrates hard but ends up gasping and rubbing his eyes. "Oooowwww.... too far." Anthony feels an ever-so-gentle brush against his mind - another presence. Repp puts a small hand on Anthony's shoulder from where he is sitting. "Try again, maybe I can help." Anthony can feel Repp's mind as a presence there, small, but encouraging. Helping to guide his power and keep it in check. More importantly, preventing Anthony from overexerting and hurting himself again... He smiles a bit despite his aching head and tries again. This time the strain is less immediate, but it still takes a few moments before he stops.
"Still didn't work. I didn't see anything."
GM Fireclaw wrote: Repp, the Bleached wrote: "I believe Michael said something to Tanaka-senpai about taking her for a walk in the forest 'back home'. Where that is, I do not know. You should still try, the worst that can happen is that you fail." He offered, looking much happier now that he was talking with someone. Repost for you, in case it was missed. "Oh. Yeah, that's far..." He concentrates hard but ends up gasping and rubbing his eyes. "Oooowwww.... too far."
"Where do you think he went? I don't know how far I can manage to get it... Farthest was from the basement to the gardens."
Repp, the Bleached wrote: Repp seems to think for a second, considering something. "Indeed? Perhaps this is some kind of latent Seer powers, if you can see distant things. How bright can you make the light? Does it have any force behind it?" Repp asks, curiousity at this new puzzle overflowing, as he watches Anthony with keen interest. "Well, I know I can't blind anyone by making it bright. I can't get the power strong enough. I can make it hit as hard as an arrow though, so I guess if I hit their eye with a bolt I'd blind them."
Repp, the Bleached wrote: "Send a message? How was that done?" Repp asks curiously, taking in the information almost greedily, eager to hear everything. "As for experiments, I'm not quite sure. There may be many different ways it can be used." "I'm not really sure how I did it. It's like I can see places, and make letters there out of light."
Just me having creative fun with Soulbolt. Light spell equivalent.
"Focus it so it can hit as hard as an arrow, making light like just now, and twice I've been able to use it to send a message to someone I couldn't see right then. What kind of experiments?"
"I got some light powers. I make light. Give you some prisms to work with and I can even make different colors." He explains, holding up a ball of soft white light in his hands before starting to eat. "I'm trying to figure out new stuff to do with it."
Repp, the Bleached wrote: "Good afternoon. You aren't by-chance related to Michael Dacamara are you? You have similar eyes." says the red-eyed gnome as he munches on his apparently vegetarian meal. "My name is Repparyn, though feel free to call me Repp as you please." "If by similar you mean our left eyes are both brown, then yes. I'm Anthony. Nice to meet you, Repp."

Anthony gets an outgoing smile from a odd-looking bleach-white gnome sitting at a table with a small plate of food, though the gnome doesn't get up, waiting to see if Anthony will join him or not.
Shrugging, the boy brings his tray over and sits down.
"Hey."
Heading into the cafeteria to get something to eat, Anthony looks over the information Chet had given him. What could he do with this info? What couldn't he do with it? If Jiminy was still around he could help... but he was determined not to need it. There was too much going on anyway.
Monkeygod wrote: Hey DB3,
With all the new avatar's maybe Anthony can stop being a miniature?
All the new avvies, and this is still the best...
"Woohoo!" Who knew how good it would feel to have branches under his feet again? Sure, he'd had to agree to help Professor Agave weed a section of the garden, but that wouldn't be so bad, right? He just enjoys his 'stroll' through the trees after a long day of class...
And if Anthony finds out Ehos is going to Anderail, he'll insist on going too!
Oh man, I hope it's not my cave...
Never posted that I was. Just got bored and deciding to post using a recently unused character. We'll just say they never crossed paths.
Anthony had given up. He'd been here for a while and no one seemed to want to let him join their band as their light manager. He made lightshows for fun for Tapio's sake!
Well, yeah, I guess that would help...

Dacamara-senpai, I think they would throw ninja knives and stuff at me if I came along.
Our clans are at war. At bit.
We'll just have to sneak you in. What are the chances a bunch of highly trained ninjas will find you if a half-elf kid is helping you?
Midori Tsuyomi wrote: But Dacamara-senpai is in the older folks school! :<
I'm sure Tanaka-senpai could introduce us!
Yes! Think maybe you'll come with us to meet her family? I'm gonna throw ninja knives and stuff at my brother while we're there!

We need to hang out more.
Idea forming... Excellent.
*puts on sunglasses*
I've got people working on it.
Anthony jumps as Tybalt suddenly appears, moving tot he next rafters easily.
"Don't do that! Geez, you gotta be more careful when you wanna talk to a guy in the rafters. Almost anyone else would have fallen!" Anthony's shock quickly leaves as he jumps back over to Tybalt. "I don't technically have to be up here, but I like the view and since I'm the one make the colors up here, it makes sense. I'll probably go down and see what I can do later." He adds with a mischievous smile.
The firebird's pyrotechnics display had caught Anthony's eye quickly. How could it not, when he had a bird's eye view of the entire concert? Making a mental note to find the firebird later, Anthony adjusts the colored light to look more like flames dancing along the ceiling in time to the music.
With all the unpredictable ability to interrupt that an eleven-year old half-elf can have, Anthony chooses the exact moment after Anahita finishes talking to alert them that Rock's Fall has stopped playing and Electric Octopuses has started.
"Hey, Ehos, the next band has started playing. Gotta a pretty cool beat going!" :)
Gazing down at the crowd, Anthony spies Ehos and realizes how far his elven friend's distaste for Rocks Fall's music goes.
"I can let you know when they are done playing." Appears in front of Ehos, the words made of pale white light.
"It's not too bad," Anthony thinks as he listens to Rocks Fall play, "but not good enough for a lightshow as bright as this."
With a bit of concentration, Anthony changes the colorful light above everyone to draker colors, colors that don't really go together. It fits the music well.
