About Antarian Norn

Background

Antarian was once a captain of the Imperial Guard, who committed perhaps the greatest sin imaginable to those in power - he was too capable. Scion of the impoverished noble family, he came to the capital on his father's old horse and wearing his grandfather's old armor and notched sword. On his 19th birthday young fighter became a member of the Guard. Seven years later he became it's commander. He was ruthless in enforcing the discipline. He cut down the corruption among the guards and removed all the spies in the Court. Perhaps that was the main reason for his banishment. Excuse me - his reward. Three years later, Imperial Chancellor summoned Antarian to his office and in
the presence of Agentes in Rebus of the Imperial Security read to Antarian from a silk scroll with golden lettering: "In the name of His Imperial Majesty Sargon XIII, you are hereby granted the title of the Lord of Imperial Court and Earl of Nordwald. You are commanded to depart from the Capital and go to your lands with all haste. Upon reaching your demesne, you are to restore order to the town of Camp and subjugate the so-called "Desolation" for the greater glory of the Empire and His Majesty." Surrounded by the twenty agents, Antarian bowed and went to his quarters, then he gathered his things, said farewell to his friends and left the city. In one thing Antarian disobeyed Imperial Writ - first he went to his old home. The old mansion was in better repair than eleven years ago. Antarian sent all his money and emperor's gifts to his family. Once again he said farewell to his loved ones, to his parents, to his grandfather and grandmother and once again he left his ancestral home but before continuing his journey to Desolation, he had one more person to visit - his maternal great-grandmother, the Old Witch of the Woods. Baba Tarna lived in an old treant, so huge that there was no tree higher than him in entire forest and so ancient that natural hollows formed in his body. Most of the time he slept, but on the nights of young moon he used to wander the forest and Baba Tarna went with him in the guise of a crow or squirrel. In some ways, Antarian thought of the old Wood King as his great-grandfather. That night he spent under the boughs of Wood King, listening to his ancient songs and baba's tales. When the morning came, while he saddled his horse, his great-grandmother introduced him to a young awakened wolverine. He was born as albino, so he could not survive in the forest by himself. Tarna awoke him and he was her company for a while. When he noticed Antarian's snow white hair, he decided to join him and see the world. Perhaps he thought of Antarian as kindred soul. Perhaps he was right. Next morning Antarian and his new friend continued to Desolation. (this would be represented by Leadership feat. Wolverine will be cohort, if that's okay).

Description

Antarian is tall man of 31 years. His subordinates considered him dangerously intelligent and deadly with his two blades. In fact, they had a saying to raw recruits: "Deadly with the blade is Antarian. Even deadlier with two. Deadliest is his mind." A sword blow to the side of his head resulted in one eye changing color from sky-blue to pale green and his hair going white as snow. Hair in mention is very long and he wears it in a braid that reaches his lover back. Antarian is still dressed in the black uniform of an imperial officer and he still wears golden eagles of his rank. On his back are twin blades, named Fang and Claw, and on his finger is his father's ring with family crest - white wolf running on black field under the black oak on white field.
