female Human Rogue 4

Swinging her torch around her in a spray of sparks, Angalia darts away.

female Human Rogue 4

More frantic torch waving.

female Human Rogue 4

Realising that this is not a good fight for her, Angalia scuttles back, aiming to protecting her friends with well-placed smoke.

female Human Rogue 4

Angalia watches the flailing and waits for a good moment to join the fray.

Connection issues, back again. Ang is useless in this fight I suspect :D

female Human Rogue 4

I wasn't really thinking of sneak attacking, more driving them into a bunch for easier incineration.

female Human Rogue 4

Hmm. Can't remember (and never wrote down) what her move is. If she can get behind the swarm by double moving and relying on her ref to avoid trouble, she'll do that.

female Human Rogue 4

Just managed to borrow son's laptop after the fan on mine fried.

Seeing Andrzej's movement, Angalia nods approvingly and slips in front of Eliva. All her instincts wants her to stay in the shadows, but she's fairly confident that she'll be able to roll free of trouble is she has to and maybe catch the swarm from behind.

{if any of that makes sense. Anyway, move to T5.[/ooc]

female Human Rogue 4

Angalia takes another of the torches, nodding her thanks to Leandro.

female Human Rogue 4

"Good plan."

female Human Rogue 4

"If anyone has any open wounds at all, that water's going to kill us. Light up the torches. I think smoke is going to help us more."

female Human Rogue 4

Perception to check out water 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29

Panic sharpening her senses, Angalia pays close attention to the water before jumping in.

female Human Rogue 4

Init - 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

Know Engineering any use to identify best spot to set alight?

Angalia looks at the swarm and the murky water and wonders if she has any chance at all of setting fire to something before she dives.

female Human Rogue 4

Perception - 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

Catching Res's idea Angalia looks around for cover. She is hampered by her hood falling over one eye.

female Human Rogue 4

Angalia's pulls her hood down hard, pushing the cloth into her ears before reaching for her daggers.

"Watch out - something over there."

female Human Rogue 4

Perception - 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (9) + 16 = 25 - drop that by 5 if there are no traps to detect

Angalia looks cautiously around.

female Human Rogue 4

Angalia keeps silent and watches where the guide walks. She has no wish to wallow in more mud than necessary.

female Human Rogue 4

Angalia picks up the doll, distressed that such fine craftmanship has gone to waste.

"I think I'll see if I can mend this," she comments to no-one in particular as she puts it in her pack.

female Human Rogue 4

Angalia pulls up her cloak and nods.

female Human Rogue 4

"8 days. The sisters were generous."

Bit surprised to find that Angalia had 8 days of good food in her equipment. But there it was.

female Human Rogue 4

"Does he like bacon rind?"

Angalia waits for Tybalt's permission before offering the tidbit.

female Human Rogue 4

"Leandro, some days a person just needs to clog their arteries."

female Human Rogue 4

"Cooked breakfast. That makes a nice change."

Angalia heads eagerly downstairs.

female Human Rogue 4

"Dear Leandro, were we not on a quest of such moment, trust that I would indeed find your presence in my bedchamber disturbing, although not, surely, distressing. Alas that the times are as they are. We must set aside such potential joys."

Angalia allows herself a tiny, regretful sigh.

female Human Rogue 4

"I'll take first watch. I think my journey may have been slightly kinder to me than yours."

Angalia smiles inwardly at Res and Leandro's concerns over honour, but says nothing. Far be it from her to hurt either of their feelings.

female Human Rogue 4

"Thank you for telling us and we will take care."

Pondering a moment, Angalia adds, "Is anything taken from the victims?"

female Human Rogue 4

Angalia nods and keeps her own gaze neutral. "I wondered. I've seen comrades succomb before and if I can help prevent it, I will."

She does her best not to remember the last she saw of her friends left with the sisters and fails completely.

Rising, she follows Res and Andrzej upstairs for some much needed sleep.

female Human Rogue 4

"Remedy?"

female Human Rogue 4

"I get the feeling tomorrow is going to be a long day. Perhaps we'd all better get some sleep?"

female Human Rogue 4

"I've never heard of Harag's Skull or Saren's Fang - can you tell me more? I'm going with you, of course."

female Human Rogue 4

"Tiff didn't describe the blade particularly, but I agree, it sounds like a dagger. All we can do is stay watchful."

female Human Rogue 4

Angalia nods in greeting and holds out her hands.

"It's this. Tiff saw a portent of death. She saw a lot of blood, and a small blade. The vision did not clearly show the assassin, but the eyes were vacant, resembling delicate porcelain marbles. She is certain that the victim is one of us, and if we are caught unaware, one of us will die. I've noticed that death is not usually the end here and I don't want to see more friends and companions vanish. So I came to find you and tell you. Tiff's visions don't lie and nor does she."

She takes another sip of her drink.

"Have you seen anyone with eyes like that?"

female Human Rogue 4
Andrzej Plamen wrote:
Andrzej comes down and joins the happy gathering. He takes a drink and nods to Angalia waving it between their noses, "to serendity."

Taking another glass, Angalia echoes his gesture.

"I must ask in this dreadful place. Who is still here among the group that left the Sisters?"

female Human Rogue 4

"Tybalt, thank you. We don't know each other well, but we did meet. I remember how kind you were to the children. They still remember your stories."

female Human Rogue 4

Spotting Tybalt, Angalia smiles at him and gestures for him to join them.

female Human Rogue 4

"It sounds as if your journey was more difficult than mine. The cloak helped of course, so we mostly just hid and slid past anything that moved.

The others are . . . stable at least. The sisters are doing all they can."

Angalia keeps the rest of her news to herself until everyone arrives.

female Human Rogue 4

As Res enters the inn, a cloaked figure rises to greet him.

Pushing back her hood, Angalia smiles at him and pulls the man into a warm embrace.

"Res. It's good to see you. But we have to talk. Tiff saw something. It's bad."

female Human Rogue 4

I think she's sorted. Still find Pathfinder ridiculously confusing, but voila. Level 5.

female Human Rogue 4

"More betrayal from within. Why am I not surprised?," mutters Angalia. She reaches for a silver dagger.

"Might need this."

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 - init.

female Human Rogue 4

Cursing herself for her folly, Angalia pulls herself together and darts around the back of the straitjacket.

"It's nothing but laundry. Nothing but laundry."

Move to flank with Andrzej, taking OA if necessary.
Attack straitjacket.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14 - with flanking

Oh, for goodness sake.

Despite her best efforts, her hands seem to freeze.

female Human Rogue 4

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 - Will save

Angalia is terrified and can't even try to hide it.

female Human Rogue 4

That's the kind of thing I was thinking of :)

Berating herself for being terrified of living laundry, Angalia circles and tries to grab the thing.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 - combat maneuver

... and fails.

female Human Rogue 4

Angalia will move to M12 to flank with Andrzej, taking the OA and hoping her Ref is good enough to duck. She'll use her standard to try and tie its arms together.

female Human Rogue 4

Fairy nuff. Will just chuck a dagger and attempt to cut an arm off.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Bah. Utterly irrelevant.

Thoroughly disturbed by the unusual foe, Angalia's dagger clatters to the floor.

female Human Rogue 4

"Moving straitjacket. Try to immobilise it."

Angalia notes that this is one of the odder battle orders she's ever given.

Is she close enough to try an immobilise it by holdng it still?

female Human Rogue 4

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 - Init.

Angalia's daggers slide instinctively into her hands, even if her responses are less alert than normal.

female Human Rogue 4

"Alive or dead?" Angalia gestures at the tapping wall.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
female Human Rogue 4

1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30 - Perception

Angalia gently touches Leandro and Eliva on the shoulders, urging the pair to stop for a moment while she looks around.

Maybe not ...

female Human Rogue 4

"Yes. Let's try to stop anyone else dying here."

female Human Rogue 4

"If he was a patient, we should take him back to the sisters. He might have family."

female Human Rogue 4

"I cannot describe how much I hope we don't have to use those."
