Liberty's Edge

Hello,

I have attempted to purchase the Starfinder Core Rulebook PDF and my card has been charged twice, but the item is still in my shopping cart, but not in my downloads.

Would love to have this resolved sooner rather than later...

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Hello everyone,

We, the Hornet’s Nest Lodge, are planning a weekend long Mini Con starting on Friday July, 18th and ending on Sunday July, 20th.

There are 50 tables of Pathfinder Society, Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, and Pathfinder Munchkin being planned on that weekend. To top it off, the following specials are going to be run:

- Blood under Absalom
- Bonekeep Level 1
- Bonekeep Level 2

Pricing goes as follows:

1) $5.00 per session
2) $7.00 for a all day Friday pass (two sessions)
3) $10.00 for an all day Saturday only pass (three sessions)
4) $10.00 for an all day Sunday Pass (three sessions)
5) 25.00 for a whole weekend pass (eight sessions)

Payments will be taken on site, at your arrival to the store. Those that wish to GM should contact riscaan@hornetsnestlodge.org for information on getting setup to run.

Spots will fill up quickly, so check out the registration site to secure your slot at the table(s):

Please join me in welcoming Aaron Bryant as a new Venture Lieutenant for The Hornet's Nest Lodge in Charlotte, NC.

On top of getting this, he also received his second star earlier in the week.

There is an error with the retailer registration. When you attempt to upload an image it returns you to the home page.

Basically, you can attempt to register the store, then you fill out the information, then you are prompted to upload a 'store front' image. When an image that is loaded that meets the requirements listed (format is .jpg and width is between 500px and 1000px) a popup is displayed, it then appears as though the image is being uploaded. The popup then goes to the paizo.com/paizo page and the main window is refreshed to paizo.com/paizo.

Any word on what might be causing this? Thanks.

So, last night (9/24/2013), I had a player ask me about the Rhino Hide Armor (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/magicItems/armor.html#_rhino-hide) for his animal companion.

The question as, on his animal companion's pounce attack, since it's initiated by a charge, does it get the +2d6 damage on all 5 of it's attacks?

I found some information on this, and I am reading that the general consensus is yes (http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2n60e?Rhino-Hide-Pounce).

This is how I understand it, from my readings:

1) Charge - +2 to attack, -2 to AC
2) Pounce - on a charge, a creature with this gets it's full attack (in this case, 5 attacks: Bite, 2 Claws, Rake). Because of Charge, each of those attacks gets the +2 bonus
3) Rhino Hide Armor - deals +2d6 damage on any successful charge attack performed by the wearer

Is that how everyone else is reading this?

Thanks in advanced!

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Hello everyone, I have created an event for October 26th 2013 (details here).

As of right now, we are looking for about 8 GMs. We have the space to accomadate up to 10 (it might be a squeeze though). This will be my first large event (read more than 1 session) so bear with me as I get into the grove of organizing this.

If you have any questions, please contact me at venturecaptain@hornetsnestlodge.org or my Venture Lieutenant (Nathan Littlefield) at riscaan@hornetsnestlodge.org.

The Pathfinder Society Events page will have the details of the sessions we plan to run, along with times.

I am in the process of getting a Warhorn.net page setup for this event.

Thanks a lot everyone!

Please join me in welcoming the first Venture Lieutenant of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area, Nathan Littlefield.

He will be assisting me in organizing the Pathfinder Society events in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area (and surrounding areas). He brings years of gaming experience to the table, I have gamed with him (him GMing, and him playing in my games).

Welcome to the team!

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Hello everyone,

I am just about to start GMing my first Pathfinder Society game soon and I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me.

I will be running the In Service to Lore scenario. I am hoping to get people in my area interested in the Pathfinder Society and use this as a way to check out how running such a campaign will work out.

I have GM'ed for the following systems before:

- Dungeons and Dragons (3.5) Eberron, Forgotten Realms
- Dungeons and Dragons (4E) Forgotten Realms, Encounters
- Pathfinder Homebrew (Merger between Eberron Campaign setting and Pathfinder Rules with a little of my own stuff thrown in), Rise of the Runelords, Shattered Star (currently running this one)

I have done the following setup already for this:

1) downloaded and read the scenario
2) Downloaded/Printed all of the pregens
3) Created an event on the Pathfinder Society Site
4) Printed out some 'table tents' for use during the game
5) Made sure that table space has been reserved at the store we will be doing this in
6) Working on making the maps for the area so that I don't have to draw during game time

Is there anything else that you may be able to point me to, to ensure that this goes off without a hitch? Most of the games that I have GM'ed in the past have always been with the same groups, so I know what they expect and what they expect of me. Aside from the 'D&D Encounters' I haven't done anything like this before.

Thanks, in advanced, for any help you can provide.
