Unless you go by Sean's discussion in another thread where he says (while not RaW) you can take a feat you do not meet the prereqs for but it has no effect until you do meet the prereqs. So in this case you could take it, but you couldn't use the rogue talent obtained with it until level 2.

They usually do a bunch at once, so I wouldn't be surprised to see more fairly soon.

I'd probably require multiple castings for each of the different skills needed.

Were you actually charged or is it just the authorization that shows up first? If the latter it'll just disappear after a couple of business days.

Sadly the legal jargon is the important part. Finding a lawyer that you could talk to would probably be quite useful.

Hi! I just downloaded this module and I can't wait to run it.

The maps are awesome, but it seems I cannot use them as players' handsouts: all of them are keyed with numbers and even the secrets doors are revealed!

Any idea how I cau use these maps anyway? Or any software I can use to delete the numbers and the secret doors symbols on the pdf?

Sounds interesting, but as an eBook reader the $12 price point is still a bit hard to swallow. I'll stick it on a wish list and see if I remember later.

I've thought more than once about allowing this. However, if you suffer a reduction in a stat, in my mind, you'd lose access to the feat's benefit, too.

I've always felt that was the way it worked. Just like if you temporarily lost the prereqs for a Prestige Class you would suddenly not be able to access any of those abilities.

Now if only this ruling would end up in HeroLab.

Ah ha! If the other forums are already collapsed you get the one for the Online Campaigns. When I uncollapsed the Online Campaigns it just gave me the other three already collapsed. If uncollapsed one of those I could no longer just do Online Campaigns and first had to recollapse the other ones.

So while I don't think its necessary to automatically have the forums collapse it would be nice to have the option to completely collapse a section without having to collapse all the subforums first.

Weird, I can still close "Online Campaigns" all at once. To reopen it and close it took about 5 seconds.

Back when I hid the forums it took me less than five minutes to hide what I don't want to see (which is over half of the available forums). I wouldn't really see it as a good use of coding time to add in things to automatically hide forums on people.

After just getting my subscriptions unsuspended and paid for with funds from Christmas it saddens me that I again need to have them suspended as the next shipment will be a bit too close to this one for my bank accounts liking.

I agree with Azmyth, CEP is awesome. I've used it an its various incarnations for over 10 years now. I like AA and if you can get a student discount I would jump on it.

I'm currently reading Snow Queen's Shadow by Jim C Hines. His books are quite good I've enjoyed the entire Princess series thus far. Next on the agenda is Death's Heretic.

Always liked it. Rufus and Ron were probably my favorite characters.

I would love a version linking to the PRD.

It has to do with art not being cheap and they don't want to give it all away. There is a very nice portion of art on the blogs. The art from the blogs is one of the only places people can get art to put up via the Community Use Policy, so someone making a site themselves is out of the question. Allowing people to copy art from the PDFs is really very generous, not all companies allow that, heck many won't even allow you to print them.

I've got some Paizo folks posts as RSS feeds through Google Reader, but the feeds occasionally bug out a bit and Google thinks it needs to re-download every possible article again and list it as new. Sometimes it just does it for one person and other times it does it for everyone that I have in that list.

I'm not sure what's causing it and not sure if it's something unique to Google Reader or if other RSS readers would have the same problem.

Let me know if you need additional information.

There was some recent rejiggering of the setup of URLs that caused the RSS feeds to think every thread was new. It should clear itself up.

I'm going to check at a Barnes & Noble this weekend. They have UC in stock. I check at another B&N and almost picked it up there until I noticed that some genius thought that the best place for the antitheft tag was in the middle of a page.

One thing to note, I discovered that the antitheft tags that end up on pages actually come off pretty easy without damaging the book.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a PDF viewer that will allow for the viewing of bookmarks?

Works fine here ... I know there used to be a bug where this would happen occasionally for specific users. Try logging out and back in and see if that fixes it.

Bah. I didn't even know it was some kind of festivity, I guess it could have been stated in a more clear manner, since not everyone that shops there is American I think. This situation has a bitter taste.

I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this, as its and error in the PD but also in the core rule book, but...

The spell Crushing Despair list VSM under its component details, but lists no Material component. In the 3.5 SRD, the listed component was a vial of tears, so I'm assuming that's what is intended.

I know it's a pedantic thing to point out, but I thought if someone is still paying attention and updating the PRD, it would be an easy fix.

The PRD is only updated when official errata is updated, so if this is a problem that has not been errated yet, you may want to post this in the Core Rules errata thread.

Ok I've been doing a lot of reading of Words of Power lately, so a few things found.

The target word "Selected" has this in the "Boost" statement:

This boosted target word increases the level of all the effect words in the spell by 3 levels.

All the other target words with boost say something to the effect of

Boosting this effect word increases its level by X.

Should this actually be done the same as "Selected" where the level of all the effect words increase, or was "Selected" meant to be different? I'm inclined to think that "Selected" is correct.

Also the "Undeath" effect word currently states:

The caster can control more than 4 HD per caster level of undead creatures. If additional undead are created, the caster chooses which undead to lose control of to get back under the limit.

I'm pretty sure its suppose to say "can control no more than 4 HD per caster level ..."

I'm running Carrion Crown for my group, and we just started Haunting of Harrowstone. We're having a great time, but I'm wondering about the XP values in the book--specifically concerning research.

Are these values intended to be split amongst the party? Or does everyone get the experience listed. I'm wondering because I've been splitting it, as I would with monster XP, and the amount they're getting is absolutely...well...pitiful. I'm wondering if they're going to be a high enough level before entering Harrowstone itself.

There's a couple of places that say it, but James states that all XP rewards are per group.

hmmm i'm rather interested in this, is it like the old 3.5 graphs or something completely new?

Paizo has a set look they want for their site. Custom Avatars and signatures are not part of it.

It helps avoid things like copyrighted pictures that are not approved from being added and such.

Well this is just awful. Initially, as was quoted in the first discussion, there was no restriction on this figure other than pre-ordering the whole box. So I save up for a couple months since I don't have that kind of cash lying around, and look what happens. They change the add so you have to do it BEFORE October 1st. Hmm, that wasn't there before in the initial add. Also originally is said one per box of minis. now, it is one per customer. Some real bad hat there Paizo. Not a good way to do business. Me and some friends who had to save up for it, since there wasn't a time limit on this save that it comes out in December, are now not allowed to buy it. They just gave me a reason to go on ebay and not give Paizo a dime due to poor advertisement.

The Oct 1 stipulation was made quite a while ago, pretty sure it was late August. The description of this mini still says one per case.

The PRD (the site put out by Paizo) only contains the Open Content from the rules line. The D20PFSRD is a 3rd party site and Paizo has no control over them.

The Pureblood Azlanti race is from a Campaign Setting book and not the rules line so it would not end up on the PRD in the first place. If its open it is up to the folks at D20PFSRD if they are going to add it to their site.

I see these everywhere but still haven't come across one in an adventure.

Where is all the Minotaur love coming from?...and why?...they are sooo boring!
