Typically, you start with 2 traits, one of which must be a campaign trait, the other can be any one of the other 4 types.

Also, I'm pretty sure one doesn't have to be from the campaign specific list...I know in PFS it doesn't (Though the wording on the 2.01 document was very poorly done, IMO, and gave me that impression.....)

"Campaign Specific" generally only applies to the running of Adventure Path. The Player's Guides have each had traits specific to that AP.

I'm really excited to get this!

Quick question on shipping though ...

I went to order the screen but the cheapest shipping method is almost $10? That seems pretty high considering the screen itself has to weigh next to nothing and is only $15.00.

I'm not complaining - Paizo makes AMAZING stuff and I plan to get this screen. It just looks like I might need to reconsider how I get it ...

Thanks!

It's because it's not a bound book and weighs 1 lbs or more. If you have at least 1 lbs of bound material added and it stays under certain weight limit it can be reduced in shipping price.

I've seen them effectively copy a party member ... I didn't like that.

Hello all,

The Familiar section in the Wizard description states:

Quote:
If a familiar is lost or dies, it can be replaced 1 week later through a specialized ritual that costs 200 gp per wizard level. The ritual takes 8 hours to complete.

The Improved Familiar feat states:

Quote:
This feat allows you to acquire a powerful familiar, but only when you could normally acquire a new familiar.

So are you only allowed to acquire a familiar with this feat when your existing familiar is lost or dies? Or can you just acquire one with this feat at 3rd, 5th, or 7th level? Do you have to "lose" your familiar on purpose?

Thanks.

I once had a character that was a Gnome bard follower of Cayden Calien with a rat familair (yes I took the feat) and the GM knew I was going to take Improved Familair. He decided when I the rat would become a Dire Rat as a gift from my deity. It worked at was pretty cool.

4709 is the current year in Golarion (come January it will be 4710)

They can be found in the Pathfinder RPG Bestiary (which released late last month) and can also be found in the Monster Section of the Reference Document

You have to stay away from that site, they have a ton of stuff not in the SRD that either comes from them taking closed content or maybe even their own house rules interpretations.

There may well be stuff that's not in the SRD (like the Unearthed Arcana material), but I'm pretty sure that Jans tries to steer away from Closed Content. Do you have any other examples?

Well technically I believe the errata is not open content and he does integrate it. But I know for the most part he was very good at only putting the open stuff there. The UA stuff is open while not part of the SRD. But I do think that discussion should probably be carried out elsewhere as opposed to the errata thread.

Community Domain, pg. 42: the domain spell list is the one from 3.0, not 3.5. In 3.5 the spell Status went from 4th level to 2nd level (normally), and in the Community domain it moved from 4th to 2nd (displacing Shield Other), with "Status, Greater" taking the 4th place slot.

It may not be an error to omit that spell, as greater status is very powerful - allowing certain spells up to 2nd level (including cures) to be cast through the link, with no range limit.

However Status (2nd level) should *not* be a 4th level domain spell - that makes no sense at all.

After looking over the SRD it appears that the Community Domain in 3.5 is not open content, nor is the spell "status, greater" (the latter I believe appeared in The Book of Exalted Deeds)

While I do agree that I'm not sure "status" as a 4th level domain spell fits, I do not believe the others are options.

I always allow them to either draw the card and do as it says or do their damage multiplier, their choice when they crit. Also each player only gets one draw per combat.

In the current game I'm playing in we got bored and figured out what the point buy was worth for starting stats (this was about 6 months after the fact) I found out my character "spent" 11 points. Everyone else "spent" into the 20's and even one person "spent" over 40. Sadly everyone's rolls were witnessed by everyone.

So, caster level or spellcraft?

Caster Level, it was a typo carried over from the beta. It has already been updated in the PDF, PRD, and is available in the errata document

Thanks for any feedback.

I'm pretty sure it only affects the spells you cast. I'd ask the GM because I would consider allowing the affect to be added to the scroll for some nominal fee.

How are caster levels determined?

The book states that caster level is usually the same as spell casting class level. What are the exceptions?

If you have more than one separate spell casting class each would have it's own caster level. Also there are prestige classes that increase your spell and caster level. There is also a trait (which is not technically core, but part of Pathfinder none-the-less) that adds +2 to your caster level.
