Asmodeus

Amano flashes his best glare at the obvious ring leader.

"No money, no drink."

Intimidate 1d20+3=20

"Refuse to pay and we take what is owed in pain and blood."

Asmodeus

"Gentlemen, what seems to be the problem?"

<Amano places his hand on the hilt of his scimitar; he bares his fangs>

Asmodeus

Amano bears his fangs, challenging all comers.

Intimidate 1d20+3=21

Asmodeus

Amano needs to finalize paperwork resigning his commission.

Asmodeus

"Let me think on your offer for a moment."

"Oh what the hell! I'm in!"

Asmodeus

"Sorry about that. How rude of me! Amano Jyaku, presently of the gendarmes."

"My friends in arms here are..."

Asmodeus

"Well, Saul, we can call you 'Saul', yes? The offer is very generous. But what sort of profit is this place taking in? And what percentage are you considering giving?"

Asmodeus

Is what this guy offering higher than the regular gendarme pay?

Asmodeus

"Dac Kian, you think we can charge overtime on this one? Ha ha ha!"

Pointing to the other PCs, "They're good guys. Helped out when others lost their head."

Asmodeus

Do I know the leading gendarme?

"Friends, everything is under control." Amano declares confidently.

Asmodeus

Amano flicks the blood from his blade and sheathes it. He looks at the chaos that is the Golden Goblin and shakes his head. "Damn paperwork," he mutters to himself.

"Alright, where's the boss of this place?!"

Asmodeus

With most of the thugs either incapacitated or fleeing, Amano deems it prudent to consolidate today's gains and leave the fleeing thugs for tomorrow. But he remains vigilant.

Full defense.

Asmodeus

Seeing Lyan wounded, Amano exhorts him to: "Never give up!"

Inspiring Word on Lyan 1d6=5

Amano then slashes at his opponent.

1d20+5=16, 1d8+3=8

Asmodeus

You're welcome.

Asmodeus

Your healing surge value plus three (3)

Asmodeus

The beautiful lady gets the Inspiring Word.

Asmodeus

Use inspiring word on Triss or Audric, whoever is more injured.

Asmodeus

Amano moves to L14 to flank thug at K13.

Attack 1d20+7=24, Damage 1d8+3=7

"You are not alone!" Inspiring Word on Lyan.

Additional Hp to Lyan 1d6=3

Asmodeus

"All right minded citizens, arise! Strike down these criminals!"

<Inspiring Word on self>1d6=5

"Take this for your dinner!" Amano slashes L12.

1d20+7=25, 1d8+3=10

Asmodeus

Basic Melee Attack 1d20+7=26, Damage 1d8+3=5

Amano's scimitar slashes at the thug.

Basic Melee Attack 1d20+7=24, Damage 1d8+3=11

Using action point to get another attack.

Drawing on his years of his experience, Amano finds an another opportunity to slash at the thug.

Asmodeus

"Don't be hurtin' me!!!"

Basic Melee Attack vs Mace-Guy 1d20+5=25, Damage 1d8+3=9

If that is a hit, then the enemy receives a total of 17 points of damage.

"Or I'll be hurting you!!!"

Good thing I looked up what the dazed condition means.

Asmodeus

Amano moves to P10; he moves along the perimeter of the room.

"Make way or I'll throw up on you!" Amano, knowing the character of the typical Riddleport denizen, cuts a path through the crowd, using the most odious excuse possible.

Asmodeus

Init 1d20+3=23

Post back again in 12 hours.

Asmodeus

Amano also looks at the hot, hot women out on display.

Do I see Triss? She's one of the hot ones.

What is dot?

The dot that reminds you that you are posting in this thread. I actually missed seeing this thread while going over the play by post section. It's a rant for Gary to resolve.

Asmodeus

Perception 1d20-1=11

Entering, Amano immediately looks for suspicious characters deserving of further attention and scrutiny.

Still no dot!

Diplomacy 1d20+8=20

"Look, I know you guys don't want us here, but I'd like to make a simple round about the Gold Goblin. I'll not be gambling nor drinking nor ogling the pretty, pretty women you have here. After that I'll get out. Makes my boss and me look good. And I owe you one and let's say we arrive on time to help you guys out in case you have problems in the future. Quick and painless, what you say?"

When I get inside...

Perception 1d20-1=15, Arcana 1d20+3=21

Asmodeus

Is the warlord class appropriate for a wuxia campaign?

Asmodeus

Hello.

Asmodeus

Amano sighs as he recalls the instruction of the Overlord: to keep at the peace at the opening at the Gold Goblin. He signals to his fellow gendarmes that he will bw going inside the Gold Goblin. Amano brushes the imaginary lint off his mail-covered shoulder as he goes. He flashes his pointy teeth at the pretty, pretty women come to spend their money and soul at the Gold Goblin.

"I'm here at the overlord's behest. Your paltry fee is waived." He tells any attendant asking for the entrance fee.

Greetings, Lyan.

It looks like Amano forgot to include his shield bonus to his Reflex defense. It should be 14.

Also, he should choose another language.

O

Fixed.

Asmodeus

Greetings, Lyan.
