Casting Summon monster I to conjure a celestial giant fire beetle. It appears on my turn next round next to the wagon and promptly attacks the nearest goblin.

How far away are we from the wagon?

Moving a little closer while reloading the crossbow. Next round I'm popping the goblin by the wheel.

"Haha! Take that, abomination!"

Once I see the goblins, I cast mage armour on myself. After that, I'll ride closer, dismount and shoot goblins with my crossbow. Initiative 11+3=14. Initial attack roll 13+3=AC 16, damage 7.

"Um, Stigwold, is that you?" With no small amount of surprise, Altai recognises the fellow patron from the Lizard's Boat. "What are you doing here?"

Riese's skinny companion hasn't said much since arriving at the fort. However, after the drunken dwarf's arrival and his tales of gobliniod mayhem, he has perked up considerably. Hefting his crossbow, he walks up to the sergeant in charge at the gate. "Goblins? Where are they?"
