In the interest of continuing the story and not bogging down the plot, I'd like to rebuild him using the Urban Druid archetype. May I? New Improved Allarion:

I've changed out one feat, modified spells known slightly and swapped powers. I think this Allarion will fit in a lot better. Sorry, got roped into covering for a colleague in another college while she's out for surgery. I don't do her job, just something related, so it's taking a bit to get trained in and work is where I do most of my posting... Also, I just realized that Wild Shape doesn't allow for humanoid shapes, and I don't have access to a polymorph or change self spell to create an illusion. So I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions? A completely hairless human slides into the room, moving with a nearly boneless grace. He wears green robes and has a small red viper wrapped around his upper arm. He sits, staring un-self consciously at the Grand Master with a disconcerting intensity. He doesn't seem to blink, but his tongue slips between his lips, as if tasting the air. This is James, by the by. So, after mocking up a witch (and getting a +22 to alchemy at level 6, WOW!) I decided not to go with her. She was just a little less interesting that I wanted. So I put together a serpent druid, and here he is! Allarion keeps a small shop that specializes in exotic remedies. Specifically of the poisonous variety. He breeds serpents, and keeps a rooftop garden on his shop. He's been known to heal people before, as well as accept the odd assassination job now and then. (His Modus Operandi is to approach a home near dark and meld into the stone of the wall or building. He waits until dark, then steps out and speaks with a serpent he's brought for that purpose. He sends it into the house, has it bite the victim, then return to him. Voila! Dead victim. Alternatively, he's been known to do the deed himself, wild-shaped into a serpentine form.) He's more of a viper than a constrictor, and his personality reflects that: cold, calculating and patient. Allarion moves up to the dog and strikes: 1d20+1=20, 1d6+1=6 Waitaminute? Is that a possible crit using the short sword? It is! Confirm: 1d20 1=16, 1d6 1=5 WOOT! Sorry! Busy Weekend... Init: 1d20 2=4 Allarion will step up to the dog and attack: 1d20 1=2, 1d6 1=2 Nevermind. Initiative: 1d20 2=3 (I'll be back here in the back, sir...) Action: Allarion shouts to Legs to attack the gnome: (charge 1d20 3=14, 1d4=4) He then uses Diplomacy to calm the kids. Diplomacy: 1d20 6=15 "Children! We've come to kill Gaedram Lamm! We mean you no harm. Help us put that devil where he belongs: in the harbor!" Allarion will make a shushing motion with his hand to signal to the boy the need for quiet and attempt to move quietly into the room. Move Sneakily: 1d20 2=5 Nevermind that. "We will be careful of the children, but we must find a way inside! We cannot be this close to Lamm and lose our will. Is there a side way into this rotting eyesore? I cannot believe a sneak like Lamm would not have a few boltholes already prepared for himself." Allarion says, rubbing his chin. "Why don't we check out that boardwalk that goes around back? Surely they won't expect an attack from over water?" Allarion stands. "I need an hour. I need to retrieve a friend first, before we go. I will meet you back here in an hour." With no more discussion he leaves, though as he exits the door he seems to pause for a moment to murmur something to the building itself as he goes. Allarion will jog home and retrieve Legs, his animated footstool companions. Stray Hal wrote:
"He is correct. Does the cat give the mouse a second chance before it strikes? Does the ratcatcher pity the rat? We must strike, and be hard as the stone of the city, and make certain that this Lamm pays his price for his evils." Allarion turns the card over, muttering. Clearly he's lost his prey, but this new twist of fate? Could it be the sign he's waiting for? He pockets the card, checks the time and heads toward the rendezvous. DM:
Spoiler:
His shop is a carpenter's shop called the Carven Chair. Currently it's dusty, locked up and uncared for. He sells chairs, tables and odd small wooden pieces, such as goblets, plates, etc. I don't yet have the Guide, so feel free to put me in a low rent area with a small market. I'll be purchasing the Guide in the next few days... Thanks! Also, Allarion has a shop in a Guild district that has become run down due to his current lack of employment and suspicion by his neighbors that he murdered his wife. He's been searching for who might know more, but the only name that keeps coming up is Lamm. |
