Moving and packing. Posting will be sporadic for the next week.

"I will join in the subduction of the guards. Are we prepared then?

Allarion comes in, looking calm and dispassionate as usual. "I am prepared. Let us begin."

DM: I'm having an issue with my character. I made him and I dug the build, but now I'm having trouble getting into him. In the interest of continuing the story and not bogging down the plot, I'd like to rebuild him using the Urban Druid archetype. May I?

I've changed out one feat, modified spells known slightly and swapped powers. I think this Allarion will fit in a lot better.

Sorry, between work, moving and finding a new job, I've been dicombobulated... Well, more than usual.

Allarion will take a quick jaunt to the local potion shop and purchase a potion of Change Self if possible. As soon as he hears the summons, he will return to visit with the others.

There's A Thousand Faces, but not until 13th level. I guess a potion of Change Self or Alter Self would work, though. I'll just have to purchase one.

Sorry, got roped into covering for a colleague in another college while she's out for surgery. I don't do her job, just something related, so it's taking a bit to get trained in and work is where I do most of my posting... Also, I just realized that Wild Shape doesn't allow for humanoid shapes, and I don't have access to a polymorph or change self spell to create an illusion. So I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?

Allarion studies him for a moment, rather like a snake studying a rat. "I have no use for him."

Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

Allarion stares in his strange way. "I may be able to perform such a service, yes. I will not be able to duplicate memories or mannerisms, but mere form? Yes."

Sorry, travelling for the holiday plus two job interviews. Been a busy couple days!

"I can deal with people." Allarion says, giving his a little too long stare at the two.

Allarion rises, and bows to the master. He follows the others to the room, eager and intrigued by this summons.

HP: 5d8 ⇒ (3, 5, 4, 2, 7) = 21

A completely hairless human slides into the room, moving with a nearly boneless grace. He wears green robes and has a small red viper wrapped around his upper arm. He sits, staring un-self consciously at the Grand Master with a disconcerting intensity. He doesn't seem to blink, but his tongue slips between his lips, as if tasting the air.

I'm ready when everyone else is!

This is James, by the by.

So, after mocking up a witch (and getting a +22 to alchemy at level 6, WOW!) I decided not to go with her. She was just a little less interesting that I wanted. So I put together a serpent druid, and here he is!

Allarion keeps a small shop that specializes in exotic remedies. Specifically of the poisonous variety. He breeds serpents, and keeps a rooftop garden on his shop. He's been known to heal people before, as well as accept the odd assassination job now and then. (His Modus Operandi is to approach a home near dark and meld into the stone of the wall or building. He waits until dark, then steps out and speaks with a serpent he's brought for that purpose. He sends it into the house, has it bite the victim, then return to him. Voila! Dead victim. Alternatively, he's been known to do the deed himself, wild-shaped into a serpentine form.) He's more of a viper than a constrictor, and his personality reflects that: cold, calculating and patient.

Regretfully my offline life is becoming a bit too hectic and I need to trim some commitments. Regretfully this is one of them. Sorry! I've very much enjoyed the game and hope you continue playing. Thanks!

"I agree with Hal. Fire is the great cleanser and this place stinks of rot. Let's put the whole thing to torch and prevent Lamm from using this boat to escape!" Allarion looks rather crazed with the idea of burning a hated enemy's escape route.

Reflex: 1d20 4=21

1d20 2=22

I am become Balance, Equalizer of Weights!

Balance: 1d20+2=13

"Trap or no, we're running out of warehouse. If he's not there, where the devil is he?"

"That man is not Lamm. Therefore, that man is not important!" Allarion scowls and heads back inside, looking for a door to try that hasn't been tried before. Seeing one, he heads through it, sword drawn.

"I'm not here for fishing or treasure hunting; I'm here for one reason: killing Lamm. Once that's done, you can fish as much as you like."

Allarion moves up to the dog and strikes: 1d20+1=20, 1d6+1=6 Waitaminute? Is that a possible crit using the short sword? It is!

Confirm: 1d20 1=16, 1d6 1=5

WOOT!

Sorry! Busy Weekend...

Init: 1d20 2=4

Allarion will step up to the dog and attack: 1d20 1=2, 1d6 1=2

Nevermind.

"Agreed. Downstairs it is." Allarion growls and heads downstairs after the children, sword out and ready.

Initiative: 1d20 2=3

(I'll be back here in the back, sir...)

Action: Allarion shouts to Legs to attack the gnome: (charge 1d20 3=14, 1d4=4) He then uses Diplomacy to calm the kids. Diplomacy: 1d20 6=15

"Children! We've come to kill Gaedram Lamm! We mean you no harm. Help us put that devil where he belongs: in the harbor!"

Allarion will make a shushing motion with his hand to signal to the boy the need for quiet and attempt to move quietly into the room.

Move Sneakily: 1d20 2=5

Nevermind that.

"Very well, enough talk! Let us act," Allarion sheathes his sword, hunches his shoulders and walks over to the main door, waiting by it for the others to get into place.

"We will be careful of the children, but we must find a way inside! We cannot be this close to Lamm and lose our will. Is there a side way into this rotting eyesore? I cannot believe a sneak like Lamm would not have a few boltholes already prepared for himself." Allarion says, rubbing his chin. "Why don't we check out that boardwalk that goes around back? Surely they won't expect an attack from over water?"

Allarion takes this time to gather a handfull of stones, rocks and various debris and place it in his pocket. He then draws a dagger and waits.

Allarion moves toward the waiting group, a small animated footstool capering around his feet. "Has anyone bothered to check inside? Surely one of you lot are stealthier than I?"

Let me know when Allarion arrives. His sense of timing might be a bit off, due to being slightly mad and all.

Allarion returns to the fortune teller's house, accompanied by a small worn footstool that capers around his legs like a terrier. He'll wait there for a handful of minutes, but if no one else shows, he'll head to the evildoer's lair, scowling and fingering his short sword.

Allarion stands. "I need an hour. I need to retrieve a friend first, before we go. I will meet you back here in an hour." With no more discussion he leaves, though as he exits the door he seems to pause for a moment to murmur something to the building itself as he goes.

Allarion will jog home and retrieve Legs, his animated footstool companions.

"Cards or no cards, I know my destiny: it's killing Lamm. He must pay in blood for what he's done, no question. I take no pleasure in it, but it must be done. If you have information for me, woman, give it over. Else I have hunting to get back to." Allarion glares around the room.

Berels hand hovered over the cards for a moment before he finally decided on one of them, taking the last card still present from the spread. "Lamm, like any living creature, deserves a chance. In his case, one at the point of a knife. If he throws that away... well, then he can only hope for some gods mercy. He is a vile, despicable man."

"Lamm deserves a chance? He has spent a lifetime spreading misery and death. Why would you want to give him another opportunity to escape again? What more convincing would you need that he warrants death."

"He is correct. Does the cat give the mouse a second chance before it strikes? Does the ratcatcher pity the rat? We must strike, and be hard as the stone of the city, and make certain that this Lamm pays his price for his evils."

Allarion sits, broodingly, still muttering to himself. He draws card #3.

Allarion takes his turn. "My name is Allarion. Lamm had my wife killed, for what reason I do not know. I aim to see him to justice." Finishing this, Allarion takes a portion of food and begins to eat and drink.

Allarion scratches his head. "I too know of no enemies save this Lamm. Let us go in. At least our curiosity will be fed." Allarion draws his short sword, readies himself and steps into the building.

"If this is a trap, at least I get to see the fiend. He murdered my wife, I have no love for him or his."

Allarion slips forward toward the door, nodding at the men surrounding the door. He stops just short of weapon range and holds there. He clears his throat and says, "Who sent me the card? What do you know of Lamm?"

Allarion turns the card over, muttering. Clearly he's lost his prey, but this new twist of fate? Could it be the sign he's waiting for? He pockets the card, checks the time and heads toward the rendezvous.

DM:

Spoiler:
His shop is a carpenter's shop called the Carven Chair. Currently it's dusty, locked up and uncared for. He sells chairs, tables and odd small wooden pieces, such as goblets, plates, etc.

I don't yet have the Guide, so feel free to put me in a low rent area with a small market. I'll be purchasing the Guide in the next few days...

Thanks!

Also, Allarion has a shop in a Guild district that has become run down due to his current lack of employment and suspicion by his neighbors that he murdered his wife. He's been searching for who might know more, but the only name that keeps coming up is Lamm.

Allarion is wondering around the marketplace, currently following a thug he thinks might know something about the whereabouts of one Gaedram Lamm.

Allarion wanders by, mutter softly to himself and occasionally looking up at larger buildings, cocking his head, then nodding vigorously.
