What kind of cookie?
Banana macadameia nut white chocolate chunk.

Begins pecking at the plate of delicious cookies like crazy, then discovers that it was all a figment of the idiot lemur's imagination.

** spoiler omitted **

Welcome, SpawnofMoorluck. Long was it foretold that you would join this thread. The Winds brought me word of you. RAAAAAAAAWK!

The winds carry news of aliases yet-to-be-created. Perhaps you have yet to locate the place where aliases are made?

Swoops through thread, snatching a big juicy flumph from midair with a great POP!

The Winds are building in power. Alderyk directs two blasting currents of Wind at the ST. They come at it from to the sides of the Jacks and their allies, leaving them untouched, but then striking the thing on the sides, in a broad "V" pattern. Alderyk aims to slow ST's arms in their strikings and blow him backwards.

Alderyk catches sight of the Runelord and his minions. He watches them with interest and uncertainty, not knowing their part. He continues whipping the winds about the Steel Tsar at advantageous angles and varying power, but is set to act if the goblins need dealing with.

Suddenly, the Wind not only increases in power, but it blows a difficult cross-Wind as well, kicking up dust before the metallic beast. The brethren of the Winds swoop in, attempting to blind and unbalance the fell thing.
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!

Turns to see the Pteradon King has joined him.
What do you seek?

Powerful crosscurrents of winds suddenly come whipping into the thread.
An ancient avian creature, fierce of mien and piercing of eye, swoops in on one of the winds and perches on blasted tree at the edge of an empty battlefield. He scans in all directions. He lifts his wings and gathers the Winds in preparation.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK!
The Brethren of the Winds fly forth to WAR!

Brother Snork, you'll be coming along too.

Very well. Awwww-rik!
Woodsy will stay behind at my perch, keeping vigil.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!
Brother Jay remains silent...why?

Rawk!
The ancient King of the Fallarin turns and long he extends his wings, each feather seeming to embrace the Winds by themselves. The sound of the Winds blowing through the canyons surrounding three sides of shrine howl eerily, but beautifully, with their passing. It is difficult for the Brethren to discern how much time has passed when Alderyk finally turns back to them.
It seems the Brethren of the Winds must go forth in power--as many as we can muster. However, it is forbidden me to go without leaving behind an acolyte in my place, lest neither I nor my rightful successor returns to this place. It is also imperative that Brother Jay goes. Thus have the Winds revealed the chance of overcoming this threat. Though, in leaving I break the ancient taboo, yet whatever the consequences, the chance must be taken.

Rawk!
Sorry, had a computer issue. What's happening?

The power of the Winds goes with you
as he concentrates all the powers of his calling upon her
but Brethren we must still call to the Winds, to ever bear their powers upon their champion, increasing her might!
RAAAK!

RAWK!
Continues the highly elaborate choreography of wings, in chorus with the Brethren, manipulating the Winds, calling and gathering them, that the Champion of the Winds may come forth.
EE-iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirk!

RAWK!
The brethren must gather! The brethren must call the Winds for a Champion filled with their power!
RAWK!
It will likely take us all night and into the morning--we have much work to do. The Jacks are welcome to wait here, or may go on if they cannot, but this work will be a great work and lengthy.
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKK!

RAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIK!
Thanks be to you, O Children of the Sea, for answering the calls of the Children of the Winds. Ancient powers are stirring that threaten the balance of all things. Speak, Admiral Byrd, and tell of what we have learned from the Winds and from the Shepherd of Trees!
Awrk!

You look tired, Jack. Perhaps you too have need of the rest of the Winds? Rawk!
Directs the breezes onto Jack Hammer.

Rrkk...it may be redirected...could this power be used up and the Jack remain?
Awk!

Krik-kik-kik-kik-kik...

Spoiler:
perhaps it is best that we keep the two of them separate until more has been revealed...can you take him back a message that will put his mind at ease and cause him to cease searching for her, for the time being?

Whence? Comes it from the Seas? Rrrrrawk!

At the gentle breezes soothe and lull the winged woman completely, Alderyk says to Brawktor,
Eldest of Domestic Fowl, please keep her in repose. For we must send urgent news to the Seas.
Turns toward the distance sea, far beyond the marshes of the frog ponds, and raises his wings, stirring them with great and deliberate power, that the Winds may bear tidings to the Seas and all that are in them.
Eeeawwwrk!

Brethren! Invoke the divine zephyrs of calmness and respite to breathe softly on our guest!
Begins elaborate choreography of wings so that the Winds may lull her to sleep.

Raik! Krr...Krr...
Perhaps you should resist here, lady. Let the brethren call soothing, gentle breezes to refresh you.

Only the Winds may do that, King Brwaktor. But we are the wings that call the Winds that balance the scales. Rawk! And that is enough for us.

Turns to look at befuddled and bedraggled goddess.

Ayeehrk! You have come alone? Where is the Jack that they call Hammer? He is not with you?

Rawk!
Who seeks to turn the counsel of the Winds against the Winds!
May they be blasted from the the face of the earth!
Begins calling up a fury of Winds in his rage.

Rawk! The Winds counsel me not to make the many obvious double entendres that are calling out to me, and paining me in my restraint.
Rawk!
We hear these things, and yet none come to us for counsel. What shall we do, brethren?

Yes, Admiral Byrd, tell us what you have learned! Myself, I have sensed much hot air and stirring cross-currents!

When the wasp continues talking in his beak, Alderyk quickly spits him out, having mistaken him for a lesser insectoid.

Rawk! Brethren, is there word from Jay?

Is Thieving Wasp a particular individual? I was thinking there was probably an endless supply of thieving wasps and that mortality was not an issue.

RAIK!
Snatching the wasp out of the air with his beak as a little snack.
The kobold averted his dark fate, only to sacrifice himself. Very curious indeed...we must ask the Winds for greater knowledge of this mystery. If he returns, I hope he will not be undead this time.
Brother Jay, you know the mind of the kobold. Go forth and find that cow that is rightfully ours!
Raaaaaaw-tummy rumbles-kkkkk!
