With his formal attire, consisting of a dress shirt, black tie, fedora hat and suit coat, polite manners and ever-present smile, he could be mistaken for a harmless person. Background: Agent Kronos graduated magna cum laude from the Harvard Business School and was part of the Roosevelt New Deal Administration in the 1940s. He was in New York when Tachyon crashed his spaceship and he caught the Wild Card. At first he was happy with his gifts, as they gave him an edge in the stockmarket. But soon the true price of his gifts became apparent. He stopped getting old. He saw his cherished wife wither and die from cancer. His children and grandchildren now appear older than he. He expects to outlive the next generation and the one after that. He decided to leave the States when it became apparent that the ace hunts of the 1950s were set to come back again. He settled in neighboring Canada, where he was compelled by SCARE to join it after an inter-agency task force identified as an unregistered ace who has been using his “gifts” illegally to play the stockmarket for the past 40 years. Perhaps, he joined SCARE because he wants to change tomorrow or perhaps this is the path his visions say he would take. No one knows. |
