Either one. :) "So if I stitch his arms and legs together you'll be okay with it?" Anthony asks. He takes a step back as Michael goes to punch him. "Ah ah ah, we still have to hunt. Any injury you inflict upon me will be cheating and you'll lose." "Someone's started using big boy words." Michael grumbles as he backs off. "To bad they won't help you hit your target." "You're aim is so bad you could through a rock out the window and miss every tree!" "You'd miss the window!" "Boys!" Sylvia almost-shouts firmly, putting an end to the argument quickly. "I thought we went over this last time you argued. As I recall you both got in trouble for the broken window. We're not going to have a repeat, are we?" *withering glare of the Mother* "No, ma'am." They say in unison. "Good, now why don't you two go hunting now? Get it out of your system and we'll see what I can make with what ever it is you end up bringing in. Don't hunt anything you can't carry back." Silence takes over the room. Even Michael is surprised by Kitty's speech. "A seer would know." Anthony says from the doorway, where he's munching on some grapes. "Thank you for ruining the moment, little brother." Michael sighs. This gets some muffled laughter from Sylvia and Jerak(apparently Anthony's done that before). "Okay, Kitty, you have a point." Sylvia admits. "I can see you're really set on getting a pet shop with Michael. Just make sure nothing happens to my son, okay?" I was wondering if, in her excitement, Kitty would accidentally mention the force fields. Can't trip you up that easily, can I? ;) "That's because the branches have more give than a rooftop, at least away from the trunk." Michael explains as he enters the room. "Mom, it was unbelievable. I honestly say it was one of the best experiences I have ever had." "I should hope so! It's not everyday you get to see one alacorn, let alone a whole herd!" "Whoa there, Kitty. Slow down a bit." Jerak urges. "You said you saw alacorns? Are you sure? Horses with wings and a horn like a unicorn?" "Jerak, do you really have to ask that after what she just said? Besides, Michael knows the old stories better than either of us. If anyone could identify an alacorn it would be him." Sylvia says, before turning to Kitty. "Please, tell us everything! You said you actual touched one?" Seeing the offered hand, one foal hurries over to see if there is anything in it. Not finding anything, it goes about trying to figure out what these two new creatures are. This one had horns. Was it a member of a different herd? If so, where were the others and why didn't it have wings? At one point the foal brushes Kitty's hand. It's hair feels almost impossible soft, and she feels a tingling sensation spread from her hand throughout her body. Michael reaches out tentatively and gasps faintly when he feels the jolt too. "What fun is it to argue if there isn't anyone around to witness my victory?" "Your victory? Oh no, little brother, I won that argument. Isn't that right, Saffire?" "Meep!" "Oh come on! He's on your side too!" "Which is why I'm winning. I have more people on my side then you!" Michael laughs, ducking a thrown fork as he puts his plate and Kitty's away to be washed later. "You need to work on your aim." "It's still better than yours." "Prove it then. Let's go hunting. I won't even let Kitty and Saffire help me." "You're on!" "After lunch then, since I want to go walking with Kitty." Studets of mine and their preferred Homerooms. Oneiro Mance: Professor Reading's.
He's not a student, but Canis will probably end up in Ormarr's to hang out with the animals. Lysander will be protecting his little cousins in their room. *sleepy blink blink* "It's a rooster now. Figures. There any hotcakes left?" The sleepy Anthony asks. "Morning, Kitty." "There's enough batter left for you, Mom, and Dad." Michael replies. "You're up early. What's up?" "I've been getting up early for a few months now. Sometimes I got to the top of the trees and sit there till the sun is up." Anthony mumbles as he starts making himself some breakfast. "You're pretty loud when you move around, Michael." "Sorry. I'm not used to being quiet anymore." "Whatever." After dinner, Michael helps Kitty move the mattress and kisses her goodnight. He goes to his room after telling everyone else goodnight, and finds himself slightly uncomfortable. It was his room, yes, but it didn't feel like it. He eventually gets his grandfather's ring and goes up to the roof to sleep on a branch. The morning comes with a sound that seems really loud after the general silence of the school's room. The sound of the forest waking up. Michael comes back in from the roof and changes into a fresh set of clothes before breakfast. Kitty Tanaka wrote: "Oh," Kitty said, looking relieved. "Well, as long as it isn't an inconvenience....you're not going to be offended if I sleep on the floor are you? It's just... beds that are off the ground....it feels too weird." "Then it's decided!" Michael's mother says happily. "Michael can help you move the mattress in the guest room to the floor for the night. I told you getting a guest room carved out was a good idea." She says to her husband, who holds up his hands in surrender. Agarthian Storyteller wrote:

"Eh, it's not that good." Anthony says, taking another bite of rice. "You do realize you're inhaling it, right?" "Shut up." Anthony grumbles. He does slow down though. "Kitty?" Jeran asks. "Are you staying here tonight or going back to Avalon?" "Jim" Rivets wrote: Jim dismisses all effects, returning to his normal size."Sorry about your boots, there. Name's Jim, by the way. Jim Rivets." Jim reaches out an adamantine plated hand, still scratched a bit from the wire, for a handshake. "Ta'Su." He replies, taking the metal hand and shaking it. "Don't worry about the wire. It was made to do that in case they got caught on anything. It's easy to reattach." Catching the wire soon leaves Jim holding a bunch of limp razor-wire, because as soon as the line goes taut it snaps off of the heel. "You know, you are the only who has ever even tried to grab the wire." Ta'Su tells Jim as he drops to the ground to avoid a boulder. He stands quickly. "Of course, no one else was ever made of metal. I'm going to have to upgrade my training pair to deal with you." A boulder passes between them and suddenly Ta'Su is gone. Looking around reveals he's using the boulders flying through the air like platforms. He kicks a few of the smaller ones toward Jim and Ephebe. Ephebe wrote: "Well, that makes things more interesting." "That was the plan." Ta'Su says dryly Asch Redgrave wrote: "Oh are we adding an extra element to class today?" Asch asks Ta'Su as he dodged a boulder. "The Blur isn't challenged by the boulders anymore, and she doesn't want to keep healing since people get sloppy when she's here, so I'm providing a distraction." Ephebe wrote: "And I think for the good of the rest of the class I may need to stop healing...or drop the class. Boulders aren't that challenging for me," she said, making a face. "Perhaps you just need to up the level of challenge then." Ta'Su replies, suddenly kicking out at Ephebe with his bladed hover skates, a thin bit of razor-wire lashing out from the heel as a follow-up attack. Ephebe wrote: "And who knows how long that will be....but I understand you wanting to put off the possibility of humiliating defeat," she said with a wink as she fired off another shot. "I'm using tech against your magic and/or inherent abilities, priestess. Besides, if I beat you in front of mommy, you might not so quick to heal me next time." Ephebe wrote: "Okay, that's just depressing. I'm in here one session and they already are starting to get sloppy again." "Their lives aren't at risk as much anymore, so they are not working as hard. Terrible habit to get into, and not nearly as fun." Ta'Su says as he flips to avoid a boulder by mere centimeters. "Not nearly as much of a rush." Ephebe wrote: Trying to give the meditation folks a chance to finish if they want before moving on.:) Might want to start wrapping up the basic magic class too. "Someone got faster while she was away." Ta'Su observes as he sees the blur go by and feels his injury go away. "But just how fast?" He speeds around for a few more moments, then kicks a boulder in Ephebe's direction. "Kitty, something you should know about this family is that if we ask, it isn't 'that much trouble'. And I'll only pretend to be mad at him. It's a mother's right you know." She chuckles, getting out eggs and vegetables. "Now how about you teach me how to make omurice?" Gotta go. Have a nice night/day all. "Don't worry about it. It's nothing I haven't felt before, wondering why he never came home. If I had known he had a girlfriend though, I wouldn't have worried so much. I think I'll whack in the back of the head actually, for forgetting such a sweet girl. I'm sure it's not the only thing he's done to deserve it either." She says, giving Kitty a sly wink. "Now, is there anything you'd like to go with this rice?" "We were just so caught up in the fact he could do something others couldn't, and we keep saying he would make a lot of friends there. We should have listened when he said he didn't have anything that he would have to go to Avalon for." Michael's mother says, a hint of sadness in her voice. Then she cheers up. "But if we hadn't sent him there, he wouldn't have been around to help you or create that cute little drake!" Not as recent as you think... "Not really, dear, but he was old enough to care about how he looked in front of his cousins. It was hilarious when he forgot he was even wearing them and started running around and jumping over all the place." Kitty Tanaka wrote: "Sooo.....pictures?" she asked shyly. "I don't know why Michael is so determined for me not to see them, but the more he tries to keep them away from me the more I want to see them." "Probably all the school play photos we took when he was little and playing the part of Tree #3." She admits, laughing a bit as she leads Kitty down to the kitchen. She sets the album down on the table before getting the rice out and cooking. "Now, while we wait for him and the rice..." You decide what's in the album, Lyn, just because that will be hilarious. "Michael can be... willful sometimes. He's probably trying to make you feel welcome here." Sylvia tells Kitty as she takes her clothes up to the roof and lays them across small branches. She puts some small, clean rocks on them so they can't blow away before turning back to Kitty. "He really does like you, you know." "Don't worry about it, dear, we can hang them up on the branches I use for drying clothes. Then we can look through the photo album my husband found in that statue of his. Turns out it is hollow on the inside, and the top comes off so you can put things in it. How Michael got the album in it without me seeing that is beyond me." "Speaking of my son, is he back too?" For some reason there seems to be more than one question being asked. Dc15 Sense Motive:
Kitty said they were swimming, and she changed out of her wet clothes. Michael would have had to change out of his wet clothes too.
